I belive the creative team here tried to bring singers of diiferent genres to keep viewers of all ages engrossed. Daler Mehndi is supposedly a ghazal/ classical singer first but ventured or got success in pop songs. Daler mehndi must have loved this kid as he may have been the only one like that to have made it thru .. He plays the harmonium very well but sur needs to improve tremendously ..

Peti mein se kuch sound waves aate honge, which must be causing some sort of reaction within Ranjeet, inspiring him to sing well. You know there used to be fairy tales in which the character would acquire a lamp or a blanket or carpet which used to then transform a normal human being to do superhuman things😛
