i think that the last 2 episodes were very shocking...first himani, vinit and hemachandra say they want to quit and when asked why, all they can come up is that they are sorry!! then, the next episode, still it is not clear y they want to quit? y all the commotion in the first place if their not going to make any sense out of it?? also, i was very shocked when himani recieved the least amount of votes and i blame that on a total misunderstanding that she would be one out of two of the winners since she is the last girl...i think the last 2 contestants sing a lot better than debojit ...also..the show should stop using personal reasons to manipulate the public..i mean this with all due respect, vinit's love story and debojit;s late mom;m dream is no concern of the public and should not be a reason for votes!!!

ANY WAY NOW THIS MAHAYUDDH HAS BECOME JUST AN ANOTHER PROGRAMME SO NO FUN ATCHING. AND FUTURE WILL TELL THAT ONLY WINNING THIS SINGLE PROGRAMME DEBOJIT CAN ONLY GET SOME MONEY AND A FLAT MAYBE....BUT HE CANT GO FAR AS FOR AS HIS SINGING IS CONCERNED. VINIT IS AND WILL BE A WINNER ALL THE WAY .......

Debu has beaten Vineet fair and square before, not sure if you know this, have you seen earlier episodes of saregama before Challenge 2005 started (Fame 2005)? This is how he became wild card entry, judges were renowned unbiased musicians - Pundit Jasraj, Chitra, Biddu.

i honestly dont kno who sings better debo or vinit but they both have 1 thing in common..they use personal reasons to manipulate voters./or atleast their mentors do...

based purely on their performance in the qawwali round (as in singapore we have not watched the final four result round in which himani was eliminated) i thought debojit's came last in terms of singing because he slipped on notes three times. Both Himani and Vinit were great and Hema was also very good. It should have been Debojit who was eliminated and certainly not Himani. She has always (for the past six weeks at least) sung very consistently and very well. But Debojit did not sing so badly that HR and AS should have given him 5 and 6 points. That's really not very fair. All the contestants range between 8 and 10 depending on the performance of the day. But, the sad thing is that because of the mentor's showing such unfair preferences and treating debojit quite badly, now the indian public is sorry for debojit (even i felt bad and so would have voted for him if i was in india) and so are voting for him. And, Himani who is really a good singer has lost out. I feel bad that so much dirt is coming in the way of selecting the best singer. probably, the last five or six should have been chosen by renowned unbiased judges instead of the public. after all history has shown that a guy like qazi could go on to win a title, without any real musical talent.

Debojit is a nice guy and I do not have anything against him. I just do not think he is the best singer there. And SA Re Ga Ma is not a programme where we search for the best natured and sweetest guy. We need to vote for the best singer without going into or basing our thoughts and votes on personal issues and extrapolations thereof. Ideally, either Hema or Vinit or Himani should have won. Now, unfortunately, it seems like Debojit will win for all the wrong reasons.

I think you have made the point very clear!! I think people who have been saying that the Indian public is deaf and isnt voting for the best singer...havent seen much about Saregamapa... They just have seen their favorites sing and not listened carefully to others...

Before Saregamapa Challenge 2005 began, Debojit, Abhijeet, Sharib were the people who were to win....But then the new show format Challenge 2005 started ... and they were given entry. Vinit had been defeated by Debojit and the judges were emminent singers including Pop, Classical and Filmi... Also Debo has won prizes at other competitons...

So I think people who say Vinit is a better singer need to see what other well-known musicians have felt. Also...to get ur ears some good music, then u have to listen to the live show recording at mahalakshmi on monday....

Thanks for your comments. I still believe the weightage for past performance should be considered. Singer can have a bad day (natural reasons). With Past performance weightage, probably some of the good contentastant like Sunanda or Nihira would have been in Final 4.

In that case you go on give multiple vote competing NE region. nihira and swananda can come in final 4 only by the judge and not by public. bcos voting means money problem comes. if voting charges is toll free I would have given several times. I a pensioner cannot offered to spend so much on telephone nor sms though I want nihira and paresh to win. what can we do.

Guess we are being back to square 1
now its time to wait and watch..on the latest updates
and what will be happ in tomorrows show

BTW 'ae mere pyare watan' is not from "UPKAR" but from "KABULIWALLAH".

It gives some solace to read that Vineet may be out. Looks like HR's strategy fired back. Serves him right. But at the cost of Vineet. I dont think he is that bad a singer but he needs more grooming, maturity, 'riyaz'. How can HR play with someone's life like this?

I also think that Debojit had a quite difficult qawwali to sing that day with so many variations in it and though he slipped a couple of times he was not that bad that he should be given 5 & 6 pts when Jatin - a neutral judge by then - had given him 9! Ismailji, to my knowledge, has not done this type of injustice to any singer - whether he/she was from his 'gharana' or not.

Hemachandra has been fairly consistent. The final 4 should have been Nihira, Hemachandra, Himani and Debojit.

Just a word of appreciation for Nihira. How beautifully she rendred her parting song - 'rahe na rahe hum' from 'Mamta' - that too without the aid of any musical instruments or beats to support her in the background. THAT I call a versatile singer!

Saw the drama episodes yesterday and the day before. Must say that things ended relatively much better than they started off with. Himani was very gracious in accepting the outcome. I was specially impressed when she thanked all the little people who only appear in end credits.

Since I am a Debu fan, I must say that the qawwali he sang was really very difficult. He did falter twice out of which once was when his voice cracked. I would still be proud if I were Debu.

Coming back to the last 2 episodes, I think Debu handled it very well by keeping quiet. I also think that Mr. Reshamiya takes hindi movies too seriously. He certainly acts as if he is in one. He has quickly become a caricature of himself through the show. I am also somewhat on the fence as to wheather AS is the complete A'hole he appears to be or is there a single redeeming factor in him. He makes personal attacks on other mentors at every possible juncture hoping that they would not notice, ID does though and fights back.

I continue to be impressed by Himani and wish her all the best. I will eagerly wait for her songs to come out.
