The best singer is the one who is anyway; the popular singer is with the number of copies sold of his singing. God has already made the best singer -- calm down he/ she is not within this bunch. The popular is we have to decide by buying his/ her album etc. HR took the prerogative to be with him instead of us and started singing - and amazingly clicked once. Now, he sees everything with his jaundiced eye and hence thinks himself to be the best singer. Listen to his latest album (but please don't buy it. It is a sheer waste of money) and you will know who is who. I haven'[t bought it. The promo itself is pukey with the muck himself in audio as well as video.....his whole lineage is devoid of a singer let alone better and above.....the popularity has also already seen a nose dive ....

How is this a skill competition?? It stopped being one when this round (Agnipariksha) starter. It is a puplularity contest, and whoever appeals to public most will win.

It is that plain and simple. I really dont understand why people are getting confused at this stage..

In my opinion, this was coming. Organizers played the region card during the initial voting and encouraged people to vote by provoking regional feelings.

They need to modified the system. In my opinion
1. They should have a system of carrying over earlier votes. A singler/performer can fare badly on a given day for any reason.
2. There should be a qualified judge with his points which should weigh in the overall total for deciding loser.

The system should be

1. 30 % from your past performances total
2. 30 % from public vote for last performance
3. 40 % from reputed panel of judges (Not mentors)

Sujaksh, I agree to your opinion but I think the weightage to past performances shouldn't be there. It should be 50% public voting and 50% by a panel of judges comprising of established personalities from the music world. Even the final selections in Filmfare Awards are done in this way. However, if the rule was made otherwise then, everybody should play accordingly without complaining. Nobody complained when Sharib and Swananda got out....when Rajiv was getting green riding on Himachal and North UP votes....when Hema was getting 40% from south (even if Zee is not the most watched channel in south)...even when Nihira got out. If this is the rule then let it be this way. I never had any respect for HR from the beginning but I thought AS was the most impartial one. But after watching the recent episodes I think he disgraced himself beyond imagination. I always thought ID was an arrogant person but my impression was changed seeing the way he spoke that day. I definitely miss J-L.....it's better for them to be out of this controversy.
I live in the US and I don't belong to NE. Recently, when I watched the mentors (AS & HR) stating the difference between Assam's voice and India's voice, I was startled. Well, Debo was getting votes from entire NE and Bengal and that is a considerable size. Even in politics, a party having most of the votes from northern belt had come to power. However, this experience is going to teach something to all the reality shows where the decision is left upto the public.

Thanks for your comments. I still believe the weightage for past performance should be considered. Singer can have a bad day (natural reasons). With Past performance weightage, probably some of the good contentastant like Sunanda or Nihira would have been in Final 4.

I think all 3 boys have strengths but I think that Vineet is the weakest
singer by far.

I just heard Vineet's folk song performance he slipped on sur a few times.
His lack of breath control is getting worse and his voice sounded tired
and shaky.

Debo sounded ok on Dholi Taro. Nothing tehnically wrong but I guess I
like the original better.

Hema was so good. Not the powerful voice of Shankar Mahadevan but he
made the song his own. I wish he had done even more classical touches.
I cannot wait to see him become the next Kunal Ganjawala (not in voice
type but as a popular singer). He has to be the breakout star of this show
regardless of the results!

last week performance wise Debu was the best.Next best was Hamachandra.Hemani faltered.And as for Veneet he came no were near the odiginal which was a Rafi all time hit from Ganga Jamuna.He left out a complete line which is the heart of the song 'Thaka dhinak dhin thak dhink dhin tha'also the he completely omited the alaap that ends the song.Which is high pitched and beyond Veneet's capacity.The sad thing was HR came to the stage as usual showering undeserved compliments 'Outstanding,Mind blowing'blah blah.Which he has earmarked only for Veneet
