I think if you look at the trend of voting for the last few weeks, you can make out a few things:

1. People like Twinkle and Rajeev still very much alive in the competition
Means:
-------
Voters majorly getting influenced by the way the singers look, dress and perform (read dance)

2. Guys are always getting highest % of votes, inspite of Nihira singing exceptionally well last week
Means:
-----
The voting crowd primarily consists of young girls voting only for guys

3. People lowest on votes one week, get the higher % of votes next week (more than the better singers)
Means:
-------
We have some very regional voters here who just vote based on where people hai from (No wonder, the singers apeal for voting in their mother toungue and also in bengali, marathi what not)!

So, what can we conclude:
--------------------------

Two guys whom girls think are dashing and who can gather more regional votes will win, irrespective of how they sing in the next rounds. Nihira, Hemachandra, Himani, Debojit will be out in rounds to come. And in all probability, it will be Paresh and Vinit to win the competition!!!

Net result - Singers are dumbed! Rock-Stars sell!!

Nothing could have been more unfortunate 😭 😭

I still don't get why they're letting the Janta vote. They're not gonna vote for the best singers buh they're gonna vote for the people who are from their country or whoever speaks their language. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is just doing this to get ratings for their show. People these days are only interested in shows which involves then. This is so not fair to the contestants. Their life now revolves around the Jantas vote. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa's director should know Jantas votes are only based on their favorites not for the people who sing good! I'm gonna be really pissed if Paresh ends up winning this contest.

I dont understand why Gajendra Singh (or whoever else is responsible for the fate of saregamapa) is messing things up towards the final stages of C2005, when it is most crucial and all good singers are up against each other.

First of all, if the hunt is for a playback singer with a new voice, what role does "performance" play in it? The singer has to express the meaning of the song through the song, not swing and dance while recording the song in a studio (which the public will not be able to see anyway). All this "performance" is ruining the songs for the contestants. As many of the judges and mentors had pointed out earlier, first you should be able to sing well, then if you can and if you want, you can swing and dance but it should not affect your singing.
And this "performance" thing should not become part of a competition that is looking for playback singers - its not an Indian Idol, competition, for God's sake.

Secondly, judging should be left to people who understand and are trained in music to be able to identify subtle differences between singers. They should have brought all the judges and mentors together and judged the contestants. It should not be left to the audience voting according to popularity. Again, this is NOT an Indian Idol contest, it is a hunt for a playback singer and should be judged based on the ability to sing only for which a lot of technical stuff have to be taken into account and should not be left to the general masses to judge based on whether they are from their own region, or can dance well or looks good or talks well - these are not the required qualities of a good playback singer. Most people dont vote objectively - they're just too biased and forgot the reason behind their voting and the responsibility involved.

There should definitely be a classical round (saregama used to have it earlier) and it should be judged by people who have been trained by classical music and who can decide whether a raag has been sung correctly. About 80-90% of the masses probably have no training in classical music - how can they ever judge how good it is? You cant leave the fate of good singers in the hands of people, majority of whom dont understand ABC of music technically.

Saregamapa is totally messing up the competition by making the judging process so frivolous.

But I guess, one good thing is the the music directors (mentors) know exactly what each participants' potential is and they will probably be fair to them when giving them breaks later. But this ridiculous judging process has spoilt the competition for the viewers like us, who appreciate good music and want the competition to be fair.

A simple answer to your questions. The fact is, that had Gajendra Singh really cared about these fabulous singers, he would not have left it to the public to decide. He was aware of FG, and the horrible singers that came out of it, Qazi and Ruprekha (this is my opinion!). All he really wants is to generate revenue, isn't it pretty obvious? The way in which they keep emphasising, 'You may vote as many times as you want'. Poor Shaan has been forced to make ridiculous statements like, aaj vote kariya, kal bhi vote kariye, sirf ek ke liye vote karna zaroori nahi hai kyonki jitna zyaada karoge utne zyaada rupay milenge hamein. to please ham pe reham karke vote karte rahiye chaahe aapke jeb phat bhi jayen. Poor, passionate people are getting looted in this manner. the purpose of C 2005 of bringing out a good singer has been defeated.
THIS IS MY INTERPRETATION SO PLEASE DO NOT LASH OUT!

I think you are absolutely right. Saregamapa has become far too commercial and probably greedy. The whole purpose of the show is being defeated.
And what IS this about voting as many times as you like!!! Do they even know the MEANING of voting! its too ridiculous to even comment on how ridiculous it is to say u can vote as many times as u like and to as many people as u want! what IS the meaning and purpose of this ridiculous "vote"?
In their greed, they've totally spoilt their imagine and made the whole competition, which has got so many fans and which people (including influential people in bollywood) watch so faithfully, totally laughable!

i totally agree with u all....the show has started off with a note to encourage realtalent...but here according to the junta talent is being covered by looks and style and forgetting abt the talent.looks and other stuff...the people start voting tons of times and this results in poor judging...as it has happened...instead they shouldnt hav introduced any sort of voting instead of voting which finally lands up with good talent walking out of the show and also the background of the contestants shouldnt affect the judgement...swananda was good enough to get a green card but she was the one who got the least number of votes....couldnt bleive my eyes yesterday...i hope junta will start voting for better voices but not for better looks....till then..adios

We al know the pandemonium & chaos that was unleashed by Lalit when Ujjaini & Abbhijeet got eliminated. Khayyam was left crying in tears along with Kumar Shanu who had to explain why they voted Rajeev in one day before & prefered Debo over Abhijeet .
Let Himani or Hemachandra get eliminated by public voting n see what happens, I fear AS might start fitting on the stage.
Remember his drama after Rajeev's mediocre performance?
ID also has no control over tongue and can fight to finish with Judges.
So it was a clever decision to let public voting in,

Don't forget Kavita Krishna & other singers coming in as Judge also have to depend eventually on these mentors for their bread & butter.
I strongly feel public voting has been started to stop embarassament of show & judges.
We know Gajendra and it is my gut feeling he won;t destroy the show simply for earning revenue.
There is deeper reason certainly.......

I disagree with N Sinha completely. The decision to go with public voting for the final rounds was made much before and it has nothing to with the behavior of the mentors in the earlier rounds.

There cannot be any reason other than commercial for Zee to decide on public voting for the final rounds. The economics of SMS is just mind boggling so how can Zee ignore it? For Brahmastra rounds there were 11 lakh SMS, for the first agnipariksha round, I think the number was 25 lakh (correct me if I am wrong) so at this rate when all 11 rounds of agnipariksha are done there could easily be between 2.5 to 3 crore SMS made. I am in USA so I do know how much it cost to do an SMS and how much of that will go to Zee (can anyone tell me these numbers?) but you can imagine the revenue Zee will generate out of this.

I think the decision to go with public voting is not Ganjendra Singh's but that of Zee's upper management. They saw how much Sony was making out of FG and they just could not give up the opportunity given the kind of viewership that they had for SRGMP. So Gaj-ji just doing what he is told to do by Zee management. And this is my opinion only. I could be wrong.

Looks like public has its own way of judging..it is different from mentors judgement which can be biased..it is different from judgement internet users give..
2.public judgement seems to be changing every week..
My fingers are crossed what would be the final outcome..
