I have just seen a big problem with the Saregama Show... If u have a look at the SMS votes percentage on 24th Nov, 2005, there was a problem with the highest ranking...

ZeeTV has taken the sify site for their promotion and also their SMS server for taking the votes... On the show there was a big blopper which happened coz the votes between Debo & Vinit got interchanged.. On the show they said Vinit got highest votes and Debo got 2nd highest, but the fact was that it was reverse... Just check out the link and you'll know.....

Sorry N Sinha and Sunviz 3000.

I would like to disagree with you there. I feel that Shaan said that to Raktima and Ujjaini because he wanted to console them, make them feel better. I think he was trying to offer an explanation for such low votes, perhaps trying to imply that it wasn't due to their performances or anything else.
That's what I feel.

It was disgusting to see Shaan openly discussing the regional bias in voting pattern by saying to Raktima that since she & Ujjaini both are Bengali, so votes got split.
Also it was interesting to see Nihira asking for votes in Marathi, so now every one realises that singing ability is not enough to be voted in.
Also earlier in this forum I've read mails supporting Hemachandra because he is from Andhra Pradesh.Wonderful........
Just reconfirms that States are bigger than the country...

though the above is partially correct i think people do vote for participants from other regions...as saregamapalover wrote in the earlier post..just limited viewers watch hindi channels inandhrapradesh and infact the whole of south...so the one's from south must b getting votes from north and mayb the people in the south like performance of other contestantsfrom north..though talent plays a major and 99% role in the voting..if this was an international competition then they would hav surely asked the people of their country to
votefor them...this being a national competition..they r asking 4regional votes..but not all of them...

All i can say at thispont is ...... watch the show for singing and ignore the voting. (raajiv and twinkle do not desrve it) Twinkle has that husky voice and if she tries hard then she can do an awesome job but well these idiots are concentrating performing rather than good singing.

so just watch the show for singing. There will be at least 2 good singers until the last 3 ronds of agni pariksha so watch for their sake.

In mid 80s Pancham da was on a downhill, except for Sagar and few other hits he was living a low profile life till Izzazat happened in 1987.At the same time Bappida with plenty of synthesizer efffect and Digital drum beats with songs of Justice Chaudhary, Himmatwala......(long list) was rocking the nation.
Jatin Lalit who entered the hindi film in 1992( Yara Dildara) and subsequently churned out number of hits (many of which are unheard by the group which texts and matters today) is also on downhill and his place is being usurped by people who have either worked in his orchestra or came to Bollywood in hope of becoming Film Producer (HR).
I hope JL will survive the tough time & would be there for long time to churn out another Khamoshi-& DDLJ.

Hello fellow posters/readers.
I have been reading the updates since last week, coz we are watching the show from The Netherlands.
I was wondering how it ends and how it continues.
We in The Netherlands are a week below the watchers of the show in India.

I wondered about many things since the final rounds have started:
1. the contestants: do they suppose to be the new Barbie and Ken??? It is all about the singing..isn't it??
2. the voting: i am for sure the voting by the mentors DO HAVE influence on the public voting. If a contest have a high score this translates sometimes to a high vote for that contestant by public (see the show with Salman Khan - he liked Paresh, Aishwaria and Ujaini).
Its better that the mentors DO NOT VOTE anymore.
3. the musicians: today i watched the episode and i payed attention to the musicians. NO one was there....how is this possible...is it now all recorded before?
4. the singing: sometimes i hear Twinkle sing...and wonder how's it possible that she is in the final. Her song "Pyar to hona hi tha" was so false...my cat cried during her song 😛
5. the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa show: I tried to record the show, but it is not possible. Coz about every 10 mins there is a commercial break. I am getting sick of it!!!!
The shows duration is without the commercial exactly 33 mins long. This is in my opinion a bit short for a show this caliber.

But overall:
it is a good show...however 1 of my favorites is already eliminated(Abhijeet - terrific singer in romantic songs) i think this is a strong field with contestants and that the best men/women may win.

Well, the whole voting game is a farce. It seems that they are eliminating the good ones on purpose to trigger more responses from the Junta to rescue their favorites. Gajraj and Zee TV are playing the villains of the 1970 movies. But they can't possibly make Paresh, Rajeev or Twinkle win, it will put a BIG QUESTION mark on the credibility of the show.

The unpredictable eliminations will continue till the last 4 do not include the not so good singers. As regards the regional bias in votings, I seriously doubt the veracity of the facts presented by Shaan.

Yep!I agree with you Sunbiz_3000, more than likely,Twinkle will be eliminated next week.Rajeev was equally bad so we shall see!
I personally love Himani's voice. However, may the best singer win.

Zee in trying to influence the voters in a big way.. I thought it was aboslutely unnecessary to show Rajeev cooking (fearing that he may get eliminated) last week.. Zee is just trying to emphasise his social background so that he can get sympathy votes! This is absolutely ridiculous...

As for the public voting, I think ist just a money making game.. If I am not wrong, each SMS costs around 6 rupees.. so if we assume that there will be around 3 crore votes for the entire show (as around 30 laks are getting cast every week).. its a whopping 18 crores.. and I am sure a big % of the same goes to Zee!! But again, there is no way Zee could have resisted this.. Anyways, now StarPlus and Sony are more popular channels, and SRGMP is Zee's best bet to give some decent fight to these channels!

Hi..I do not think the makers of music in the film industry are waiting for the final 2 to allocate songs to them. All of them are renowed film music directors and personalities . and I do not think they are bound by the results of sa re gam ma pa to pick a singer in their movies. I think sa re Ga Ma pa has given these singers a wonderful platform to launch themselves.. not everyone gets this chance and I think if anyone thinks they want Swananda or Raktima in a song , theresults of public voting should not stop them
We have been all listening to these singers for 4-5 months now and we all have a favorite .. based an amalgamation of many things.. voice/sur/performance/region/personality/whatever....
Also many of these singers have been given a break .. and we all know only 2 have to win, So I think public voting may not be completely accurate but just an example. If a judge was invited to judge the final rounds, hema would be out this week from the way he sang ..because the judge would be judging that day;s peformance but the public would definitely not cast him out.

I think we should all enjoy these last rounds and hope that the good singers get a break!!!!!!!
