Hi, vsmukkar well .. U know I also liked rajeev as a good singer before but now... its my opinion that I feel he is thinking more of his looks than concentrating on his singing...And soo I want to tell all pple that .... there are " other" singers.. right now who r better than him... like he is not doing well on his singing since last few episodes... so pple should goo for good singers on thier performance based of wat u saw... jus like the mentors say..." its only the performances done today don't think of last performance....

This is all my opinion soo please don't ever take it seriously/ personaly.. or wso/e anyways... lets see wat happens...

I beg to differ... I dont think that Rajeev is focusing on looks or performance any more than any other contestant in the show. Almost everyone has gotten a makeover, whether they want it or not... So we dnt know whether he is doing it coz he wants it... or just coz he is being forced into it..

He is an untrained singer.. He is not one of my favorites.. But I would like to defend him here..

I think people just hate him too much.. I dont even get it why.. Just coz he was given a green card over others by Kumar Sanu...

I have bben watching Sa Re Ga Ma from the begining.Sanjeev had sung Tu hi mera prem devta,a duet by Mohd Rafi and Manna Dey.He had also sung superbly Mujhe aaj phir le chalo us jagah per from Sharabi(old)

This is for all the "Sanjeev ,that boy from U.S. " fans. I remember him from the time he was a little tyke.He would come to every musical program of India Association.While the rest of the kids ran around, this little boy would sit there , riveted by the music, even classical.His parents actively encouraged him. Even at 5,6 years of age, he performed beautifully! I saw him perform this 4th of July in Atlanta. He was amazing. But what is even more impressive is that he pursues music while working and going to school. He recently did his M.B.A. from Duke University.He and Armeen were expecting their first baby.

i appreciate ppl defending rajeev. He has been hated too much now. I also agree that he is not concentrating much on his looks and performance. I like his voice quality and his natural singing.

but can anyone tell me, does he deserve all the hype the mentors are giving him? it's not once or twice but many times have we seen rajeev faltering in sur. He can sing only on high notes and gets flat ( read besura-betala) on low ones, thats a BIG limitation. he is chosen over others by giving stupid reasons(ref kumar shanu's episode). we see him bringing gifts for AS and emotionally blackmailing public saying I am not a trained singer. We saw AS telling judges (shiv-hari) that he is doing a playback- that apart from his decent performance bagged him green card from the judges(ek ajnabi haseena se) . I would personally like rajeev to get out of this competition, get some training and then come back with a bang! he can do that. but reaching to this stage of the competition is all that he deserved. a little more would be great injustice for other participants. everyone has some or the other fav, and rajeev has least no of fans. if he goes out and comes back with a strong base, i am sure the story will be completely different. as of now, the reasons listed above are enough for him getting all the brickbats.

You are right, justforapi1. Both Rajeev and Paresh need some classical training to advance any further in this competition. But hey ! with people voting, and everybody playing the regional card,who said this is going to be a fair competition ?????
