Someone named Asha Rao had posted her comments recently and mentioned the performances by 'Sanjeev from US' (or 'that boy from the states', as Anil Biswas had called him) in the original SRGM with Sonu Nigam as the host. Yes, Paresh does remind us him in some ways. For those of you who want to know what that 'boy from the states' is doing, he still lives in the US and is as musically active as ever. You can go to http://sureelesapne.com/ and get a sense of what he has been up to. Those of us who live in the US, UK (and other places far away from Mumbai) are happy to see the globalization of the Indian music business. This will give music companies an opportunity to showcase prodigies like Sanjeev, Paresh, etc. without requiring them to uproot themsleves from the environment that nurtured their talent. If music directors like Ismail Darbar, Himesh_R, Shanker Mahadevan, and others are reading this - folks, its time to give folks like Sanjeev a call .... dont wait for them to win long drawn contests like Challenge 2005, etc. They will (in most cases) not have the time and resources to take so much time off .
