I would have liked Keka to be called too instead of Joyeetha. Keka is another good singer. If Raktima is out, thats ok. I hope Rajeev is out next.

Yeh this competition is going somewhere else so its improtant for us to vote for the good singers alot. I mean probabl 20 sms a day from each of us can save the good singers. Cuz if we dont we could end up seeing Paresh and Himani winning the competition!

jmn7, it seems as though the logical answer to Raktima's getting out before the SMS voting deadline is that Saregamapa is creating a scam just for SMS revenue. It strikes me as though they don't really care about the best singer, all they want is the income to be generated. guess what, they earnt 66 lakhs from the bhramashtra round, remeber what Shaan said? YOU CAN VOTE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT...poor passionate ppl are getting looted!!!!!

You said it, The whole show is now becoming a big scam to earn revenue. Voting should be based on merit and not on the looks and region.Hope our voters realise that and just vote once.

there are lots of comments. it's obvious that people r getting so involved. but there are lots of people who r really capable to participate in this programme. if it's a real talent show then the address of SRGMP shou be focussed in TV. 😭 don't u think so, guys?

YOU ARE VERY RIGHT IN SAYING THAT.THE MOST DESERVING CANDIDATE SHOULD WIN 😊 .OTHERWISE IT WILL BE A GREAT FARCE.

Somehow I am not convinced that voting is the best way to choose a singer - as you all have pointed out people vote according to whether they like the way someone looks, or where they come from, or deserve a chance because of their background etc and not entirely on their singing calibre. Multiple voting is ridiculous. For SAREGAMAPA they should have had instead a wide spectrum of judges who understand music and let them decide. (no Daler Mehndi, Jagjit Singh, Alka or lyricists). This is after all, a selection of singers for playback singing. - well, my two bit.

I thought Saregamapa was a pure musical talent based show ... unlike Indian Idol which was more of a overall popularity show ...

But I guess the public voting is making the show similar to any other show. But atleast the show organisers or Shaan can tell the users to vote based on singers singing talent. This way people will consider (atleast some of them) the singing talent while voting. If they are looking for playback singers and not musical album stars, they should guide the audience .. like the judges are told on what basis the contestants should be judged.

Regional bias will come into play surely but on the whole people should vote based on musical talent and capability.

Also I think now every singer is trying to play to the masses ... dressed in fancy clothes (aishwarya looked funy in the brahmashtra round and nihira looked so bad in all the makeup in the second day of the first round of the finals !!) and trying to "perform".. The word "perform" is somehow treated in saregampa to dancing while singing the song ... !!

And to add to all this the politics among the mentors will always be there and the green lights are not used responsibly .. they just thought ... let bury all our problems and be friends and just keep voting green ..
