Sorry, dunno much about women's make up kit, they seem like stuff used in painting to me. The mirror in the kit can be used to smack your head into after a poor painting like below. 😕😆

I don't have a problem with her makeup or Debolina's decision. I thought both things were fair. I just have a problem with her singing...I'm just kind of disappointed, because I really hoped she would be good and turned out to be the opposite.

Alkaji gave her the makeup kit, because in the previous episode, they said she was obsessed with makeup or something and the previous week that had thought that she was good. None of the other contestants actually voiced their likes or anything. It's just a gift...it doesn't mean she's better or worse than the others. Shalini said she likes makeup, so she got makeup. End of story.

I thought Debolina and Shalini's singing was more or less at the same level, but Shalini can perform, and that's why she stayed instead of Debolina. And Debolina wasn't very good the previous week either. I mean, if Debolina's singing wasn't significantly better (like there is no way you could compare the two) than I don't think there is any point in arguing it. I'm sure everyone would have wanted to see her gone next week. We're just arguing over the lesser of two evils.

Anyway, Shalini might sound better with these fast-pased numbers if her voice was suited for it, but it's not. Yashita's voice was definitely suited for the songs. That's the difference. So when you have these amazing songs and then Shalini sings with her high-pitched kid voice with the complete wrong tempo and sur, it sounds even worse.

I dont know why people prefer debolina over shalini - shalini anyday...debo was just so nervous all the time and sang with no feel.
As far as the makeup kit is concerned...do they all not apply makeup for the show? all have them have full makeup on before they perform on the stage..... then whats wrong in gifting one? its just encouraging her to perform better....i wont blame a makeup kit for anything..its not her age to play with dolls is it?

It's not about elimination between Debolina and Shalini here. I didnt say Shalini should have been eliminated instead of Debolina. My question is if the decision was made based on Friday's and Saturday's singing while Khailash was present, Debolina did a good job this week, and so kinda surprised how she ended up with the lowest score... Anyway, I wasnt in favour of her before either, so it doesnt matter to me, but I raised that question as an unbiased opinion.

Regarding the limelight, I didnt watch that... In fact I didnt know they had started one for LC3 already... So I cannot comment on that... But if she did that, it might depend on her faith too - some faith prohibits you from wearing or consuming things from other religion or faith... Just my thoughts...

Now with the makeup kit gift - you have missed my point completely! And CG too - in her post quoting yours! Why was there a partiality shown to her out of all the 12 kids, or the 6 gals when she wasnt the best singer?? What Shreyasi got was like the khoobsurat award of the day thing they had in DID - she had the best performance for the week, and so she got that. That would in fact encourage every kid - with the goal to achieve that next week. I dont see that kind of encouragement the other kids would get from Alka gifting Shalini with the makeup kit. I dont care it's makeup or whatever - that projected action by Alka showed she is partial and biased with Shalini - now dont tell me that Zee has already decided Shalini as the winner, and so she is being hyped by the judges too!!!

Anyways Shalani was not the weakest..deboline was..judges are judges...and Shalani doesn't need a kitchen set, why a kitchen set for a girl? do you expect her to remain in the kitchen and cook for everyone day and night? Gosh grow up.

You have misunderstood DC's words... What she is trying to say is right - why gift only Shalini and not the others? This is not the best performance award which would encourage each kid to aim that every week, as it's decided by the special guest judge. Alka gifting only to Shalini is a different thing - she is the mentor for all six girls, and she is picking just one and projecting her in front of the viewers which displays her partiality towards that kid!! If that kid was extraordinary or someone struggling with personality issues despite having good talent, I could have justified her action. But here I dont get it - on what basis did she pick Shalini? If it's because Shalini said she likes make-up, then why not buy some chocolate for the other kids when buying makeup kit for Shalini. I dont think any kid would say no to chocolate!! That would have shown her as an unbiased judge/mentor... IMHO...

I've always called Shalini Mauli Jr. She has stage presence, confidence, performance skills, which is something some of the kids on the show lack. Therefore when she comes on stage, holds the mike with confidence, performs, one is left wondering where she brings all this confidence from. However, there are so many better singers on that stage, that performing well just isn't enough. Therefore, Shalini needs to get her act together, and concentrate on singing. And these judges need to tell her that, instead of praising her all the time.

And I enjoyed Debolina's Kajra Mohabbat Waala, I thought her "kajre ne le li meri jaan" was adorable.

I thought Debolina is a muslim too, from the way she acted in her promo ad... 😕 Some faiths prohibit one from accepting or wearing or consuming religious items from others... I dont know how to explain this... For example, in Islam I am sure one wouldnt eat the offerings from the temples nor wear the taawis from the Hindu priests... Same way protestant christians wont accept offerings from other religions - it's considered disrespectful towards their faith... So Debolina might have had a reason like that - did she say why?

I haven't seen that episode either. In fact, consider yourself lucky that I have seen the actual episodes (finally😆 - though i still haven't seen saturday's). Anyways, point is that this is a little kid, and such things should not matter. Kids do not do things out of bad intentions, perhaps she was unsure, or perhaps she felt weird. Whatever the case, concentrate on her singing.

And what Akanna di has said is right, many religions don't accept things from other religions, rightfully so. But I have a very nice policy in tact in these situations - if its food, especially mithai, I take it, no matter what religion its from. Afterall, food should not be wasted, eh? 😉😆

And Akanna di, Debolina is definitely not a Muslim name. I'd say its clear a Hindu name, but not that it matters - why bring religion into all this?
