If you watch like the promos when you only see a portion of it...she sounds bad. YeP that is how I felt after her complete song rendition....I don't know why all 4 judges went goo goo ga ga over her....It was Ushaji's song and she likes peppy fast paced songs...So be it but Shalini has been the weakest when it comes to singing & technicality...

I think she's a little to absorbed with her stage presence and performance but doesn't really get into the song that much. And Piya Re, was still kind of her genre...I mean, all of the other kids sung pure sufi songs and she still managed to pick a song that had spunk in it and it didn't come out well. Debolina...honestly, if she didn't go this week...she would have gone next week. I hope it's Shalini that goes next time and not one of the boys, because all of them are really good.

Yes, I agree that Shalini turned out to be a one-hit wonder as some of us had anticipated... She killed the piya re song, and I was broken hearted hearing it like that - it's one of my all-time favorite song! When all the other kids including Debolina rocked in the sufi round, Shalini missed the real taal of the song... And yet I wonder how Debolina was selected to be eliminated??!! It was based on the marks given by one of the judges (Abhijeet for gals and Alka for boys) plus the marks by Khailash that the elimination was decided. So it means it was based on the Friday and Saturday performances this week, and if that's the case, Debolina did a good job this week... So how come she ended up with the lowest score?? 😕

And Alka gifting that makeup kit to Shalini - shame on her! For one, Shalini is just a 10-11 year old and not old enough to apply all the makeup like grownups, which would not be good for her tender skin either! Then, Shalini didnt give an outstanding performance last week or this week when compared to the rest - so on what basis was that partiality shown?? How much it would discourage the other kids - Alka let down the others and they will feel that their talent and hard work wont get noticed and Shalini gets all the pampering even without much focus on music... These are little kids, and this kind of partiality by a judge should not be allowed... IMHO!!

Im glad Deboline was selected to be out...that girl has no personality...did you see her in the limelight show? she was full of attitude too....basically Farah took all the girls to the mosque to pray and at the end gave each one of them a black thread to tie on their wrist to help them succeed in the show, every gal tied the thread either on their wrist or somewhere else..but debo didnt do that cos she had no faith in Farah and at such an age, showed such disrespect for the religion.

I dont know why people prefer debolina over shalini - shalini anyday...debo was just so nervous all the time and sang with no feel.

As far as the makeup kit is concerned...do they all not apply makeup for the show? all have them have full makeup on before they perform on the stage..... then whats wrong in gifting one? its just encouraging her to perform better....i wont blame a makeup kit for anything..its not her age to play with dolls is it?

Well if a gift was given then it should have been given to the best singing gal....Shalini didn't even sing well then why give her a gift over all the others who really deserved it. Giving gift is encouraging but if given to the deserving candidate...

Well a makeup kit was the most appropriate for her since she is the most into makeup etc...Gosh i dunno why everyone is making such a big fuss over gift - as far as gifting it to the best contestant - well that was on Saturday (in your case Friday) wasn't? why not encourage the not so good ones? why should good ones get a gift twice in a week?
