The reason I said ID's name was I noticed those people who were under his mentorship are no where (in India) to be seen. I wonder if he guided them to be in the position they are in now, she didn't get a chance to do any of the world tour. Whose fault it is I don't know, and neither I understand. It is so sad to see the girl with such huge talent ended up doing a clerical job. I hope that some of those MD's will sit up and do something for her.

Unfortunately these days "singers" are available dime a dozen for the MD's. Bollywood does not work on the monopolistic system of the 50's, 60's or 70's when the Mangeshkar sisters ruled with tight fists, knocking out any new aspirant playback singers.

Poonam was in the news when SaReGaMaPa 2007 was being aired. After that she has performed in a few Bollywood shows overseas, but nothing beyond that. With her financial condition I don't think she had the luxuary of moving to Bombay and staying on the MD's radars like Raja Hassan, Toshi, et al have been able to do. Bollywood is a frustrating business. Those that succeed are blessed with supenatural luck!! However the reality for millions of others is to come to Bombay with big dreams, struggle, and finally diasppear with their broken dreams and dashed hopes.

OMG I am shocked and speechless reading this news...BB ji appreciate your posting....

Poonam has mentioned in her interview-show on Best of SRGMP after C-07 was finished that she took Laloo P. Yadav's offer at Railway job....She has a grave responsibility to her mom-family...These were the same reasons she could not join others on US-Canada tour.....

My heart goes out to this girl...An honest good woman doing all the right things....Dunno what made her take pills...Even they don't say what type of pills she took...and why? So much is left for our imagination in this news-article....😳 May god bring her speedy recovery and she gets well soon....She was a role model to many young girls....

As BB Ji has mentioned abv She could not move to Mumbai like some of the others to fulfill their dreams.....

Now about ID or any other MD's promises during the show most have failed in fulfilling them...Those are scripted lines for TRP or tooting their own horns...ID has not kept his promise to Sharib or Nihira...How the heck anyone expects him to keep his promise to Poonam or Amanat 😳

Anyways some contestants can't afford the luxury of moving away from their responsibility to Mumbai to carry on their dreams...

Look at Amey Daate who lives in Mumbai but has to work in SW music school assisting Rahul Vaidya....Does not have time to appear in all road shows....
