yeh i agree we couldn't understand it, but really it's just one episode they don't t do this in every single episode. I think they have the right to speak in whichever language they want to for at least one episode. You are asking for votes(which don't come free) from bengalis, and i think it makes sense to ask for votes in their own language and showcase your culture to the entire nation.

It's not about the right to speak here, Guru - you are thinking in terms of the freedom in Canada when it comes to speech... I am talking about the hospitality and not being rude to your guests - it's rude to speak in your local language in front of guests - in this case, the entire SRGMP crew except the Bengali contestants and singers plus guests, as well as the nationwide plus worldwide audience as this is a global show! They do speak in their language in other episodes too, at times when they get phone calls from home and the like, which isnt a problem for me.
Anyway, leave it. I wanted to emphasize on the fact that this show is a national one and not a regional one and so you have to go with the norms of the nation than the region...
