It looks great Vijay. But, when I try scrolling the channels left or right, it does not do it easily. You have to reach the arrow just a little bit below, and not on top. So, maybe you could fix that?

Liked the overall layout
A little confusing but it seems user friendly, so I don't think there'll be a hard time adjusting to it.
Also what is with the new notifications tab/section. What would be the kind of notification? Likes n comments?
Also the inbox/messages section: will it be black n white or will there be some proper indication like we have now with the read and unread PMs?

Desktop version looks amazing!

Just a few questions..

The slam book data and even the threads like this one, where there is a code like [example] [/example], the code is being shown. Is it just because it is a beta version? As I hope that's not how the final version will look.

Also there is no quote option and the reply takes you to the quick reply section, how are we supposed to reply/quote anyone?

Where is the my posts section?

Finally, will adding photo to posts be made easier? And will the older pictures remain? (Please say yes!)

Suggestions:

Add more emoticons, tired of the 44.

Increase the PM sending limit to more than 50.

Hello Vijay,

I checked out the beta version of India-forums. While it looks refreshing, here are some things I would like to highlight from the perspective of a viewer as well as a web developer myself (Feel free to ignore any of the given suggestions)-

1. Home Page-

- Vertical scrolling is huge. Old site home page took 6 scrolls for complete viewing, new one takes 8 scrolls.

- Mix of horizontal scrolling & vertical scrolling is confusing. While horizontal scrolling is not an issue in mobile device, it is for the desktop users.

- Vertical inter-spacing is more. It was perfect in the older versions.

- Stories section can easily accommodate 10 stories instead of 5 in 2*6 table format (2 rows, 6 articles in each). Or this section can add rankings of celebs on right side while left side can contain the hot buzz articles.

- Default Font size of older website was perfect. It's more here & doesn't look appealing.

- Reduce logo sizes of the channel.

- Buzz article arrangement in older site version was much better than this one, considering the parallel view it used to provide to the viewers. Left-right viewing is always better than top-down viewing of articles.

2. Forum Pages-

- Banner of the show & other navigation links take up huge space. While banner size should be reduced. Pictorial representation of navigation links is not needed. Textual links of older sites are good.

- Reduce the vertical inter-spacing. It has increased scrolling for desktop as well as mobile users.

- Reduce the average height of <Div> sections everywhere.

- No section for recently user posted articles. Please bring that back, accessing of last used articles by a user is easier that way.

- Default size of texts used in the post & forum posts link was good in older version. Focus should be on more content in lesser space & not the otherwise.

- "Quote" button not in new version. "Reply" button not working.

- Vertical inter-spacing between texts in the post is more. Reduce that please.

- No way to see no. of posts I have made in past in new version. Add that please.

Overall verdict- The new beta version is refreshing with nice color combos but looks heavy & bulky with increased vertical spacing & font size.

Overall arrangement of the site on mobile version looks better but please reduce the scrolling & font sizes in mobile interface as well.
