Drona Adventure Begins At India-Forums - Page 2

Seems like awesome movie can't wait to watch it thanks.

I was taken aback yesterday when I saw this drona ad... How can we promote orkut and facebook links in the forum when we have a rule that we cant post such links.. I know I myself reported few posts which contained orkut links... Can we take it for granted that we can post orkut links from now on?? Please give us the link what is allowed and what is not.. Seems like rules for IF are changing frequently.. The same topic was posted earlier in the week too or maybe last week as GA but was removed within 5 minutes...then only i thought something is fishy...IF is getting too commercialised i guess...ab sirf body hi body bachi hai no soul...

When I saw this thread I thought it was some bollywood game or something and hadn't then looked into it !! Just now opened the thread and got a jolt ! Except for the mention of India - Forums in the title and in the posters ID , the post has nothing to do with India- Forums! It is a plain and simple ADVERTISEMENT!!!! The post gives us the link to the drona site. It also has links to some communities like Orkut, facebook etc and also meme4u.

I have no problems with Drona or with the content. But I would like to know, since when is it OK to advertise in IF for other site(s)??? As far as I know, advertising for other sites was not allowed in India Forums !!! Members who did so either got warned or banned and the threads definitely were locked or trashed !!! But judging from this topic still open and that too sitting on homepage as a GA, I guess this topic got the approval/endorsement and has bypassed the "not acceptable" radar !!!! Now, how acceptable is that ???

On one hand we hear from the IF rule books and the Dev team that "do not advertise other sites " and now here is one as a GA !!!! So is it OK to post advertisements in India Forums now??? If yes, since when,and how come no one ever made an announcement of the same??? and if it is not acceptable then how come an advertisement thread is a GA ..... ???

I hope someone answers that ???????

Since you two have spoken about it, let me also question IF about this new and changed policy.

Is advertising allowed on IF or not? Please clarify......

I am a bit confused too. I would like to know what other rules changed if some did get changed. Would also like to know why we can now advertise other websites here as well. really hope my question is not breaking any existing/updated/edited or modified rules here.

As far I know it's against the rules of IF to post anything which advertise for other site, then why making post with advertising for other sites????????? 😕, can somebody clear it for me, are the rules of IF changes kya??????? 😕
