I hope you people agree to the fact that the actors are educated and know the difference between forward thinking and regression thinking? Then why are they acting in such scenes which are negated by the forward mind People?

Now I dont know what is the difference between me and them. But for me anyday I would like to watch the DD shows of 1990s like Junoon, Phir Wohi Talash, Udaan, Neev, Kshitij ye Nahin, Reporter, Dekh Bhai Dekh and also re watch some of the shows my mom and aunt used to talk about like Manzil, Talash, Intezzar, Chunouti as I was far too young to understand them at that point. Those stories were well ahead of their times when they aired in DD. As a person who grew up in liberalized India, as a person who has seen well meaning beautiful stories in her teenage years, it is sad to see Kyunki Saas bhi Kabhi Bahu thi type of stories that in the name of Indian culture degraded it so much.

And unfortunately the TRP comes for those shows only which shows saas-bahu fights, hypocrite bahus sacrificing everything, people tolerating abusing husband and abusing husband's are treated like Gods, hypocrisy glorified in the name of sanskaar.

It may not be the ordinary ppl who watches TV without logging in the forum or discussing it the culprits. If you go to them , they might say they want change. Hypocrisy is among the educated who come to this forum and tell a woman should marry her rapist and reform him because he is looking good than the leading man. It is this forum where credit is taken from a progressive thinking man of DABH to the regressive thinking woman just because she is IPS.

Yes actors/actresses script writer and PH creates such stories because they get numbers, they get money and money talks, power talks. Not everyone can go beyond this. Even to fight this culture you need both money and power.

I recently watched a show Yakeen Ka Safar a Pakistani show, that couple is in my DP and I had to think when will I get my Yakeen Ka Safar in Indian TV which maybe we had in 90s but definetely not now.

A movie with a different story can bring in money thanks to multiplex and satellite rights. Word of mouth brings ppl to theatres and these days, there are many examples for the same. Movie revenue is not sample, it is whole. Digital revenue is not sample it is whole. TV revenue is sample. Based on what 20k-30k ppl see the rest is asked to see the same thing, that's the difference. It depends on not what I want or you want to see, but it is about those 20-30k ppl where TRP meters are kept. What they want to see decides what runs in TV. And unfortunately they do not want to see RKC, EHT, POW or anything that has a story.

Instead as the number shows that crowd prefers Sasural Simar Ka where a woman turns to makki or Ye Rishta where marriage after marriage is shown. Or Udaan where an aspiring runner is now a bahu and getting tortured.

The frustration comes when seemignly good stories are tweaked for these 20k-30k ppl tastes and unfortunately the only option in front of people like me is stop watching as the truth is that what we want doesnt matter. Only the taste of what those 20k-30k ppl matter. And I understand them. Afterall money speaks

Today we saw another bitter truth of Satrupa's life. Whether Baldev wants to accept it or not, Sudha has got some place in his life and this fact Satrupa knows.She has been married to a man who had physical relation with her and had children with her, but then never belonged to her in real sense. I would have been fine if Baldev had told he would search Narotham from a distance, I can accept the fatherly love. But when Sudha kept her head on his shoulders he held her, which was inappropriate for a married man, which was really agonizing for a wife to see. So that half hug raised many questions. Is Baldev angry with Sudha because Vikku denied him rights because she became pregnant. But somewhere he had feelings for her, which he doesnt have for Satrupa the dominant woman. Sudha is more feminine compared to Satrupa and it takes a secure man to handle a woman like Satrupa which Baldev definetely isnt. He does feel insecure and incapable in front of his more dominant and intelligent wife. Anami told Bolenath will bring back her Ladoo, yes this is warning sign for Satrupa. Her keeping away Ladoo and taking Narotham has resulted in Sudha getting a foothold with her husband. And as usual Baldev blames Satrupa not understanding the inappropriateness of his actions. The larger question, in her need to keep Anami what all will Satrupa lose or when will she face the truth that nothing was actually hers. Nothing. She has been used completely by others for their needs. She badly needs to realize this. She has not realized this when she do the work of LM bahu. She needs to realize this. Because the truth of LM is going to come out. What is seen with eyes is Maya, the Maya that has been created for others, that Maya is going to comeback to Satrupa. If I read the script right, it is a very beautiful deceptive web CVs have woven.

Now Anami. She tells it is Ladoos drawing. She tells Ladoo draws only when he is happy and she directs her doubt towards Satrupa and Adhi asks the right question, what Satrupa gains with kidnapping. Adhi has his sight on Sudha. Now what will Satrupa gain with Ladoo kidnapping, answer to that question is going to come out as the Maya of Ladoo kidnapping. Reason Satrupa kept away Ladoo is completely different, but the reason that is going to come out will be completely different. It is fun. Now Anami tells Sudha if she knows she has any hand in Ladoo kidnapping she will send her away. Now Anami is doubting Sudha. Anami trusted Sudha, now that trust is breaking. Now Anami trusts Satrupa that also will break. Because she sees in black and white. Not in grey whereas Sudha is dusk and Satrupa is dawn both shades of grey. She needs to understand this dawn and dusk theory, for that this trust breaking and all round confusion is important. Because when each time your trust breaks you lose confidence in yourself, your deductions. Anyways story is poised very interestingly.

Sudha is going to turn to Baldev. A man who is insecure of his dominant wife will find solace in his ex lover. I think we r going to see some changes in relationships soon.

As u said, main question is will the makers show Sat as realising the Maya and discarding everything to be just with her daughter - the power and prestige associated with LM or still be desiring it? She desired and lost an offspring. So what would be her take? Here Dhaamo is in a way her conscience; Dhammo the confidante also tries to correct her mistakes. But She doesn't listen.

On a funny note to end, Adhiraj ji is going in the jeep with Anami. I have to see whether there will be other CBI officers or it is a one man show.

I think the makers have something against CBI as otherwise they wouldn't show them to so so inefficient.

is doing her duty as LM bahu while she is actually being used by one and all?Looks like Startups is going to be in a real soup. But there is one thing going positive for her , that is Laddoo. He trusts Startupa and will definitely tell what he heard on the day of kidnapping. I think Startupa will be put out of action for some time now.

There is a scene in Season 1 of the Crown where Philip the husband of Queen Elizabeth has to kneel before her during her coronation and swear allegiance to her. He refuses to kneel before his wife, but she says she is both, his wife and his queen and a strong man will be able to handle both. Eventually he does kneel before her. It's a compromise because he wanted to televise the coronation and the entire court and government was against it. But she took his side to make it happen. Even though they are Queen and consort some things that pertain to country came down to compromise as husband and wife because that is what they were first and foremost.

Baldev and Satrupa was an arranged marriage. She was the one he agreed to as a compromise to mend ties with his family. The duty of a heir most of all is to give birth to legal heirs to propagate the dynasty. Baldev failed with Narottam so it was all the more important he be useful and give LM legal heirs. So Satrupa was brought in as a baby making machine, an acceptable LM Bahu with Khandaan, Khoon proper and acceptable. But Satrupa was more than a baby making machine. She became the son Baldev never was. His father trusted her more than him, gave her responsibilities especially since he said he did not want a female heir. Baldev did not do the work but he instead could whine and complain against Satrupa for all his perceived insults. But in truth he needed to be needed.

Satrupa filled her void with Vatsalya. She was the dutiful bahu, But both Baldev and Satrupa ignored the one relationship that made all these other relationships possible. But all these will flounder if the root is not strong. Even a giant oak needs strong roots. Pujan for all his evil is a good husband. Vikram and Gayathri are a strong unit. Nothing can penetrate them. A strong family be it with children, inlaws, extended family is build on a firm foundation of relationship between a husband and wife be it arranged or love. Both Satrupa and Baldev bear equal responsibility for the failure of their relationship. If they had a stronger relationship with trust and communication and truth spoken between them with compromise even the past would not be able to come between them. Baldev and Satrupa together are needed to save LM, not Baldev or Satrupa. It is not a contest. They should let their egos go and work for the good of the family. When the Durga Maa fell both Baldev and Satrupa helped. Two hands are always better than one.
