I don't know why, but I feel that he's acting as if he's half feminine. In one episode when he sneaks out at night, he looked perfectly manly and there was not one bit of feminine touch. He shows(or acts) half feminine in front of LM people.
Whatever it is, his character is really intriguing. Surely there's more to his character and it will be interesting to watch his role in LM's mahabharat.

His definitely acting. This is the only way his flying under the radar. No one looks at him or gives him a glance. This is his way of surviving the Red Wolves. The day he drops appearance his gonna be perceived as a instant threat.Illegitimate or not. Narottam is entitled to the inheritance which is way Baldev has been disinherited from his fathers will.Remember AdhiRaj's famous line : what appears isn't true. When it comes to the red mansion.

Narottam is perhaps the most dangerous of adversaries by virtue of the fact that he knows them. Knows all of them and resents all of them.
Much like Voldemort choosing his enemy in Harry, Lal Mahal has chosen , crafted Narottam to stand against it.
Only where Harry Potter had much love later in life, Narottam has had none. Let's hope his sister can get through to him.

I know Narottam's character will take a darker route from now on but still seeing the atrocities he has gone through, I really wish his character is kept within the redeemable limits..Loved Loved Loved your post... ❤️
I never thought I would say this but today after the episode and after reading your post I suddenly equated Narottam to Jon Snow. as in both raised as bas***ds shunned by society. but Narottam has chosen a different path. he has greys in him and knows well how to play the game. I like him as a character. he is too good.I really wish his bond with Anami is genuine though. like I always consider him as someone who wanted to love Vatsalya but couldn't because his priorities came in the way and I want him to be conflicted in his prioriies when it comes to Anami.btw your write up completely defines him. loved it. I hope you do write about the other characters too.😊
