Ruchika walked in past the doors to find Isha sitting on her desk with her head down on the table. "Hey, Isha."
Isha got up abruptly and pulled herself together, "Hey, come, sit."
"Are you okay?" Ruchika said as she pulled the chair in and sat down.
Though it was not the truth and they both knew it, Isha nodded. "It's just a lot of work. I always said Rohan did nothing but now I have to take all his work in and my work. It's just a little stressful. But how are you?"
Ruchika shrugged, "Fine I guess. Isha, wh people want to hide their relationships. I mean, we have had this conversation before butā¦ I justā¦ well I have a secret, and I never keep secrets from you so its weird."
Isha raised her eyebrows, "What secret?"
Ruchika started to play with the ring on her finger, nervously. "Iā¦ I have a boyfriend but he wants to keep it a secret. I have been wanting to tell you for over three weeks now butā¦ I don't know."
Isha smiled as she extended her hand forward, "You can tell me anything. And I guessā¦ I have a secret too."
Just then Huzeifa came in and sat down beside them, "Guys, I have the severance packet for Rohan ready."
Isha sighed loudly enough to raise some eyebrows and then shrugged, "Whatever, I don't want to talk about Rohan right now. Ruchika, you can tell us anything. I have to tell you something as well, but after you."
Ruchika nodded, "Wellā¦ there is this guy who I likeā¦ and he likes me andā¦ we have been together for three weeks."
Isha started to laugh softly, "Okay, so ummm I have been dating this guy for about two weeksā¦"
Ruchika looked up shocked, "Wait, seriously?! Who?"
Isha shook her head, "You started it first, so you tell me."
Ruchika smiled, "Ashish."
Isha didn't say anything for a second, it couldn't be the same Ashish, that would be impossible.
Huzeifa was quite surprised, "How did you manage to keep a secret for three weeks?"
Ruchiika laughed, "I know, right! It was so hard, every day I would come to work and it would take all my attention to keep it from you guys. Isha, why haven't you said anything?"
Isha broke from her trance, "Which Ashish?"
Ruchika looked at Isha confused, "How many Ashish's do you know? Obviouslyā¦ the astrologer."
Isha got up and walked out of the office without another word. She walked straight into Ashish's office and stood there for a second before he got up and tried to come give her a hug.
Ruchika and Huzeifa had followed Isha into Ashish's door, scared of what was going through her mind. When Ashish spotted Ruchika he stepped back from the hug and was slightly confused.
Isha smiled as she came closer to Ashish, "What happened Ashish? Aren't you going to give me a hug?"
Without another thought, Isha planted a hard slap on Ashish's face. "How did you even think you would be able to pull this off? Ruchika and I?! How dare you?"
Isha stepped back, letting everything settle in Ruchika's mind. For some odd reason, Isha was mad and furious at Ashish but not because he cheated her but because he cheated Ruchika. Ruchika seemed like she was an easy, fun loving person but she too had some strict barriers that it took men sometime to pass.
Ruchika came forth and stood opposite of Ashish as she forced him to look straight into her eyes, "Why?"
Ashish looked at Huzeifa who looked he was ready to murder someone. "Look Ruchikaā¦"
Before he could finish the sentence Ruchika planted another hard slap on Ashish's face, "How could you do this to me Ashish? I reallyā¦ really liked you too. Or at least the person you pretended to be. Iā¦ It was my first timeā¦ and I gave it up for you. Youā¦ are a disgusting man."
Ruchika turned around and ran outside, leaving Huzeifa to run after her while Isha went up to
Ashish.. "Get out. I never want to see your face around Rishta, ever again. Understood?"
Ashish knew it was not the time to argue but to follow the orders so he quietly went out the door. Isha was furious with herself for falling for someone like that. She knew Huzeifa was taking care of Ruchika, she needed time on her own.
She went out the door and she wasn't too sure why she ended up at her old house. It was the first place where Rohan and Isha had come together to start Rishta. She remembered the first case they had gotten, Rohan and Isha had celebrated with ice cream on that balcony. Or the first time, she had almost quit the company because nothing was going rightā¦ Rohan had sat her down comforting her and motivating her to continue. She would have never been able to do anything without Rohan, and he damn well knew it. How the hell could he leave then?
She grabbed the wine bottle she had bought on the way to the house and poured herself a last glass of drink. She never drank but she deserved to drink this time around, how could Rohan do this to her. Just leave her stranded in the middle to run the company all my herself. How could Ashish cheat on her and her friend at the same time, did he really think she was so stupid?
She grabbed another drink for herself, how was she supposed to run an entire company by herself.
She sat there cursing Rohan was being such an idiot at times.
Rohan was on his way to Delhi when he got a call from Huzeifa who explained the situation to him. He wanted to find Ashish and punch him but he knew that Isha needed him more at this time and he knew exactly where she would be.
[Repeat of the conversation that actually took place on the show with Rohan coming to the house to him asking for his job back and to the kiss they share.]
Rohan broke apart from the kiss as quickly as it had started. Isha was sad and vulnerable right now, he had no right kissing her when she was at her weakest. He mentally slapped himself for leaning in and kissing her, knowing fully well that she was drunk.
He stepped back, completely throwing Isha off guard. She was drunk but not that much that she didn't see the regret on Rohan's face. She had actually wanted Rohan to kiss her but it seems that he just got involved in the moment. She closed her eyes trying to control herself, where did this come from? It would be better if she pretended to be drunk so that they could move past this awkward situation. "Rohanā¦ I don't feel too good."
Rohan grabbed Isha as she was about to fall, "Okay, let's get you home."
Isha nodded as she let Rohan carry her to his car. She had no idea what she was going to do, what they were going to do about that kiss. Rohan dropped her off to the door and in silence both of them went their separate ways.
Next Day
Isha walked in through the doors and was still confused about what to do about last night. She could easily pretend that she didn't remember anything and everything would be fine or she could say she remembered and deal with everything then. The problem with the second option was that she did not want to lose her best friend.
Rohan was already in Isha's cabin when she got there, "Hey Isha."
Isha was thrown back to see Rohan standing in her cabin, she still hadn't made up her mind. "Oh, Rohanā¦ hi."
Rohan knew this was going to be awkward but he didn't realize it would be this awkward, "Sorry for just showing upā¦ I was just wondering if the offer from last night still stands?"
"The offer?" Isha remembered exactly what he was talking about but she was going to pretend she remembered nothing from last night, it was easier this way. "Sorry Rohanā¦ I really hope I didn't say or do something stupid last night. I thinkā¦ I was quite drunk."
Rohan wasn't sure if he was disappointed or relieved, "Ohā¦ Iā¦ we were just talking about the possibility of me coming back to Rishta."
A huge smile covered Isha's face, "Of course! Of course! This is so exciting."
Rohan smiled, if nothing else, he still has his best friend. "Ishaā¦ there was something else I wanted to talk to you about."
Isha felt her heart rate increase, "Yah?"
Rohan came forward and looked Isha straight into her eyes, "You are horrible at lying. Don't bother with it."
Isha sat down defeated, "Oh manā¦ I didn't know what to say or do after last night. It just came out of the blue."
Rohan smiled as he stepped back, "Well how about we start from me telling you that I enjoyed it."
Isha sat there shocked for a few seconds, "Ohā¦ you did?"
Rohan nodded and grabbed Isha by her hands and raised her up, "I just hope I wasn't taking advantage of someone who was slightly intoxicated."
Isha wasn't sure what to say but she found herself smiling, "Noā¦ no taking advantage."
Rohan brought Isha closer, "Well, then I hope you give me the pleasure of a date tonight?"
Isha could barely think straight with Rohan's eyes piercing through her, she simply nodded.
Rohan planted a small kiss on Isha's hand, "Be ready at 7, I will pick you up." With that said, he left the room leaving Isha completely dazed.
