Like I am totally okay with the fact that if you guys decide to beat me up for vanishing for a year or so. I really don't think any kind of explanation is enough to tell you all how caught up was I trying to figure out a lot of things. But trust me, I didn't mean to abandon anyone here... I know you guys are crazily mad at me, but I seriously didn't know what was I doing. Now, hopefully, with some clarity around, I intend to come back to my normal ways and update my story. I really hope you find the charm which had been lost, thanks to me...

It was the day Ananya had been waiting for. It was Wednesday!! Kabir had taken care of all the possible loopholes that barred Ananya from going out. A proper medical check-up and reassurance; and they were out of the hospital. Ananya wore a white top with blue polka dots and light blue jeans; the results of Kabir raiding Ananya's house yet again. She had kept her hair open, while she sported blue shades. Nobody could tell, from her looks, that she had recovered from a serious heart injury and had faced so many tragedies. She looked as carefree as the wind and as lively as the spring. Kabir wore a cream coloured shirt and black jeans and had a pair of dark maroon sunglasses over his eyes. And boy, did he look hot!

Ananya and Kabir walked up to the parking lot where Kabir's sleek black luxury car was glistening in the sun. Ananya gaped at the car and smirked at Kabir. He smiled and slid his glasses down to his eyes and sat down in the driver's seat in style. Ananya giggled and took the seat beside him. Kabir drove through the streets of Mumbai to reach Anahita. They shared a comfortable silence in the car, both stealing glances of each other and passing silent smiles. Kabir, can you stop by a shop from where I can get some chocolates? Ananya asked, breaking the silence. "You want to take them for the kids? Well, I already got them for you. You had mentioned it last evening so I bought them just before I came here he said. Ananya just nodded her head, "Yes, I forgot who I was dealing with.

They reached their destination half an hour later. Kabir opened the door for Ananya as she stepped out of the car. She took the chocolates from the back seat and went in with him. Some little children were sitting outside, enjoying their play time when they spotted Kabir enter. They ran up to him and hugged him. He knelt down and hugged them back. Before he could introduce Ananya to them, a little girl named Priya said in an excited voice, "Aap vahi Ananya didi ho na???

Ananya pulled her cheeks and said, "Aap jante ho main kaun hoon? "Arrey didi aisa shayad hi koi hai jo aapko nahi janta yahan pe. Kabir bhaiyya hume roz bolte hain humein news dekhni chahiye aur hume humaari GK ko en... en... haan, enhance karna chahiye. Isliye roz raat ko sone se pehle, hum aapki news dekhte hain. The kids grabbed Ananya's hand and took her in while Kabir was left alone. He looked at the happy group and sighed. He put his hands in his pockets and stood there when he felt a tug at his pants. His looked down and found Anurag, his closest friend at the shelter. He knew Kabir like the back of his hands. He passed a knowing smile to Kabir and said, "Kyun bhaiyya, finally aaj didi ko le hi aaye... Aur haan, isse pehle ki aap kuchh bhi poochho, main yeh bata dun ki aapke liye bilkul perfect hai. Standing in the middle of kids, Ananya realized Kabir wasn't there. She looked behind and saw a little kid was being chased by a grinning Kabir in the lawn. She went to the middle of the lawn and exclaimed, "Hello?? Will anyone tell me the reason behind all" She couldn't finish as Anurag ran up to her hid himself behind her, "Didi, bachao!! he screamed. "Hey hey hey chhotu!! What happened? she asked. "Kabir bhaiyya he pointed at finger at a man running towards her. Ananya motioned him to slow down. Kabir stopped right before he crashed into her. "What is this Didi bachao? Huh?? Didi won't help you now, Anurag!! She is on my side!! he stuck out a tongue at him, and Anurag did the same. He replied with an even cuter puppy face. Anurag was looking at them with a smirk when suddenly his eyes popped out and his jaw fell. Ananya took Kabir's arms in between her hands and pulled him towards the building. "I had said nothing wrong, then he giggled and walked off.

After an exhaustive day full of games, prizes, singing, dancing and lots of fun, Ananya bid them goodbye before slipping into Kabir's car. She was very happy. After all, nothing could be better than spending a day with kids and Kabir. Oh God! Here we go again, she whined in her mind. She didn't know why, she had these insane thoughts which every now and then flashed in her mind and made her feel all shy.

By the time they returned to the hospital, it was almost time for her bulletin. Kabir and Ananya walked into Ananya's room and saw that Sunny was already there, setting up the camera. And to her surprise, she saw Ronnie and Trisha waiting for her with a box of chocolates. "Before you ask what is all this and we ask where were you since morning, let me tell you we are here simply because we were getting bored sitting idle all day at office. So we thought to come here but madam was busy on a... Ouchh!! before she could finish that line, Ronnie elbowed her in the rib. "That hurt! she whisper-shouted. "Good, now keep your mouth shut. We just need to notice them, not announce it before and make them conscious he replied back. Ananya gave them a confused look and signaled them to take a seat. Kabir had already settled himself on the couch when he noticed Ronnie doing all this weird stuff. Ananya went in to change for her bulletin and that left, Ronnie, Kabir and Trisha.

"What the hell was that? Kabir asked, once she was out of hearing range. "What was what? he asked back, all innocent. "Ronnie, don't do that on me! What was all that whispering and smirking huh? he growled. Ronnie laughed at this. He was so enjoying this form of Kabir! He had fallen hard for his friend. "Kabir, you are imagining things. I didn't whisper anything, did I Trisha? he said and earned another glare from him. "You thought I wouldn't see that you elbowed Trisha to stop before she said that we had gone on a date! he said, straight to the point. Trisha giggled and Ronnie said, "Huh! So you HAD gone on a date, I presume?? Fast forward love! Uff! he said in a dramatic tone.

"Who had gone on a date Kabir? Ananya asked, coming out of the washroom. Just then, Trisha exclaimed, "Oh I have to make this call... see you in a minute! and she dashed out of the room, controlling her laughter, and signaled Ronnie to follow suit. "Hey can I go and bring something to eat? I am hungry and the door slammed the second time as Ronnie came out of the room.

But Kabir didn't notice all this. He just stared at Ananya, who was looking absolutely beautiful in a black business suit with shiny black stilettos. I didn't know she looked that beautiful when I saw her on TV! his mind said.

"Hello? Anyone home? Ananya brought him out of his stupor. "Huh? Kabir had a blank expression on his face, realizing that he was checking her out. "Did I mention that you are looking completely fantastic in this he said with a smirk and winked. "Are you flirting with me? she asked with a mischievous grin. "Is there a problem if I do, Anu? he said in a slow and husky voice and Ananya went all weak in the knees. But quickly composing herself, she laughed and pushed him aside by his shoulders, and said, "Right now, there is. I have a bulletin to read. Flirt at dinner tonight, Kabir. In your cabin. She winked and left. And for once, Kabir Sharma was stumped by her his FRIEND Ananya's boldness!! "I'll be waiting! he said, almost sub-consciously, for his heart had spoken up for the first time.

After exposing a minister's scam and his dirty tricks to win a seat in the elections, Ananya wrapped up her bulletin, and sent her friends back to KKN. She promised them to meet the next day. She quickly changed into her usual clothes and dashed off to the Head Doctor's cabin.

She opened the door and went in without knocking. It took a few moments to take in the surroundings which made her doubt whether she had entered the right room or not. Mainly because, she had never been to a doctor's cabin where the room was decorated with candles, dim lights, classy food and some light and sweet music! And the city lights from the open window along with the cool breeze definitely added to its beauty. She turned around when her eyes fell on Kabir. Still in the same clothes, he stood beside the door, his arms crossed across his chest and a playful glee on his face.

"What in the world just happened to this room?! Ananya exclaimed putting her hand on her waist. "You really want me to answer that? Kabir asked. Ananya opened her mouth to say something, but shut it immediately. "If we are through with these questions, can we please have food?? It is getting cold... and I am tired. He said. Ananya nodded and they headed towards the table in front of the couch where simple yet beautifully served food in their respective tiffin dabbas awaited them. It comprised of Chapatis, Aloo Gobi ki sabzi, Achaar and Raita. It was simple, yet it looked delicious.

Kabir and Ananya settled themselves on the couch, with Ananya sitting crossed legged on the couch, and started their dinner. Ananya took one morsel in her mouth and closed her eyes. "This food is heavenly! I have never tasted anything like this before! Where did you get this food from?? she asked enjoying the awesome food. "It is a special treat from Kabir's Kitchen he said. Ananya stopped eating. She looked at Kabir with wide eyes, not believing what she had heard. "What?!?! You cooked this?!?? Oh My God!!!! This is the best dinner I have ever had!! I didn't know you were such a talented chef! Yummm!!! I can live on this my entire life! It's finger lickin' good!! she said, happily smacking her lips. "I am glad you liked it! Since I stay alone, I have to cook for myself. So... he trailed of, losing himself in his own thoughts.

Every woman he had come across had always appreciated his food but never had more than a few morsels. But this woman turned excited teenager sitting in front of him was gorging on his food with so much delight that for the first time, he found his own food he had cooked all the years, to be the most delicious food he had ever tasted.
