Friday episode had multiple disappointments for me, I didn't want Manav to be the saviour of the cause, and I wanted Ananya to reconcile with Kabir before the SK case closure, neither of that happened. Guess, I was mentally prepared for the disappointment as we know the sequence of events (through the spoilers, etc) and I did enjoy the episode despite the disappointments.

It wasn't certainly one of the best episodes, but it served the purpose of tying the loose ends with minimal bloopers. The funniest moment of the episode was Pandey getting to know about RG - Shreya plan of murdering Kabir and putting the blame on Manav, the makers made the villainous duo a pair of idiots by this revelation ;). Pandey who just happened to visit RG pharma overhearing the convo is heights of stupidity. Second most unbelievable revelation is Lakshman giving address of Raghu to Kabir, but not knowing that Raghu is already dead. What kind of stinger Kabir is relying on, completely useless..

Barring these funny loopholes, the episode was tightly packaged. If Manav had to be the saviour, this is the best way to make him one. People like Manav understand the volume of the damage only when they too became a casualty, they aren't capable of empathising or even sympathising without experiencing the trouble. I would have preferred Manav himself overhearing Shreya's phone convo with RG about murdering Kabir instead of hearing it from Pandey. We didn't exactly see the return of Kabir 'manipulative' Sharma, but we had seen someone who can turn the situation to his advantage without really taking advantage of people. Side-effects of whitening the once great shaded Kabir. Guess, the Manipulative Sharma is lost forever.

The episode answered few of my doubts too, why Kabir informed Khalid to air promotion of breaking news during the car journey, but not before leaving the office,. Glad that he wasn't hopefully of exposing RG without even meeting Raghu, guess he instructed Khalid after Manav informed of the job done. The only question-mark was whether Manav would remain loyal to Team Kabir and share the footage or not, and as Kabir said they didn't have an option, but to trust Manav at that stage. I think they could have still made the Thursday episode little more sensible by a bit of proper editing. We have seen Manav meeting Shreya just after Kabir -Ananya leaving for meeting with Raghu, if they have introduced a scene of Manva receiving an anonymous call (which we could have assumed to be from Kabir based on Friday episode) before meeting Shreya, the timing would have looked more realistic.

Coming back to Friday episode, most probably we have seen the last of Kabir Sharma behind his news desk, he was as always professional. Good of him to mention Ronnie's mom in his bulletin. Guess I am little more old fashioned than Ananya, to believe that justice is served just by exposing RG & Shreya in the bulletin and getting them arrested, there are miles to go before they get convicted. Only when they are sentenced, we can safely say justice is served for SK, the 50 kids and Ronnie. In-fact, RG had onky confessed of killing SK, there is no proof of him involved in Ronnie's murder.

Nice to see Tarini and Anurag joining the KKN gang during the bulletin, would have liked Annaya having a chat with them, hope we get one on Monday.

Kabir, the suffering and patient lover came to the front when he came out studio. His eyes were begging for understanding from Ananya, no one else or the congratulations could divert his focus. Anita - Kabir - Armaan convo was good, Ananya was speechless, I prefer her stunned expression to she immediately running to his arms, let her take time to process whatever happened after their engagement and meet him in private to reconcile.

The moral which was showed is bigger than Manav or his saviour act. Circumstances don't make a person. Circumstances reveal the inherent strength of character of an individual and shows the world what separates them from the rest. Considering how strong a message was shared, I think we can look at it as a positive instead of a disappointment.

Ananya broke off with Kabir because of the SK case, so her reconciling with him before the closure of the case just doesn't make sense. Besides, it is her break-off which motivated Kabir to stay on track and give a closure to his past - once and for all..

I am from the journalism background and know how stingers work. So would beg to differ from you on all these points. The job of the stinger is to carry bits and pieces of the info, most of it hearsay. It is for the journalists/reporters to put them together, verify their authenticity and to decide on taking them to a logical and rational conclusion. If Lakshman were to get Raghu's address and also verify on the fact if he was dead or alive, he would be called a reporter, not a stinger.

Barring these funny loopholes, the episode was tightly packaged. If Manav had to be the saviour, this is the best way to make him one. People like Manav understand the volume of the damage only when they too became a casualty, they aren't capable of empathising or even sympathising without experiencing the trouble. Had Manav overheard the conversation between Shrey and RG, the expectation would be for him to confront her, then and there...not confess to Kabir and then plan for an elaborate sting operation. I guess irrespective of which turn the story takes, it is natural for us to fell disappointed about the fact that the other one was not taken.. 😊

I don't know about Thu and Fri, but with just 17-20 minutes of the final episode yet-to-be aired, guess, I plan to sit back and enjoy those few minutes, instead of thinking about one version of the story - that was not shown - being better than the other version - that has been shown. 😊

I understand what you are saying. It is supposed to be "Innocent until proven guilty." But, in the era of 24X7 journalism, it is "Guilty until proven innocent". That is the fact of life. Besides, they did show culprits being arrested which means, they will be eventually punished. This is because there is a limit to how much can be shown in a serial, that too a finite serial. I am sure if the makers were to show even a 3-minutes segment of RG and Shreya's conversation with their advocate or show the advocates filing a bail application, all the viewers (including me) will be up in the arms about how CVs are wasting time on unnecessary segment instead of showing some precious Kabir Ananya scenes.

Nice to see Tarini and Anurag joining the KKN gang during the bulletin, would have liked Annaya having a chat with them, hope we get one on Monday.

Kabir will talk to them. I am sure of that. Whether Ananya or Anita will do the same, doesn't matter much because, that is of no value add to the story at this point.

Ananya is going to talk to Kabir outside KKN. I think the scene in the lobby, and that is as private as it is going to get. I am sure they will show Ananya either confessing her love and/or apologizing and how her trust has been restored etc.. etc.. etc. Irrespective of what they will show Ananya say or do, some of us are going to disappointed with her, some of us are going to bash her character, and some of us will feel she was just perfect. 😊

Either ways, we the viewers/readers are going to have a rocking time!!! 😊

Finally you got time to post the analysis of the penultimate episode! I was waiting for it since Friday :) ...

I agree that the episode had multiple disappointments but then like you said we were mentally prepared for it and hence we could enjoy every bit of it :) Though it should have been one of the best episode considering that SK's case was meant to be the crux of the show but it did try to tie the loose ends in sort of a convincing manner and also gave out a valuable message - We all are mistaken sometimes, sometimes we do wrong things, things that have bad consequences. But it does not mean we are evil, or that we cannot be trusted afterward... (just trying to look at the brighter side) :)

I agree with you that people like Manav only understand the graveness of the situation when they become a casualty and I am glad that he was shown to be an 'escapist' even after the realization until Kabir drills some sense into him and changes his repentance into expiation. Can't blame Mr. Sharma for doing that because he is not the same person whom we saw in the initial episodes. We have lost our old Manipulative Sharma to Miss Kashyap ;) 'Love' has really changed him into a person who sees world with a different light now!

Do I need to say that liked that grey shaded KS more?? *sigh*.. he's defunct now..

Looking forward to KaYa's reconciliation (though would have preferred it to happen before SK's case closure)...hoping to see Ananya doing the talking this time rather than Kabir...Kabir has already spoken enough about his feelings in both the proposal scenes and even afterwards..so this time I want to see Ananya wholly baring her heart out to him..going by how well the makers have handled such emotional scenes through meaningful dialogues before I am kinda sure we'll not be disappointed in this regard at least !

The show as a whole is a disappointment, I can't believe writers ruined it like this. didn't bother watching the episode but will watch the last one to say a final good bye.
I was wondering how long until manav does a turn around. He is horrible but not a monster like shreya and RG. The situation was becoming worse and it's only some time before he is implicated in this mess in some way, he would definitely switch teams if it is only to save his own skin. although he is still selfish in my eyes and not even close to being redeemed.

In all movies and tv shows, Justice is served as long as the criminals are arrested but that is the easy part. the hard part is the impending trial, and no doubt RG will hire the best defense lawyer in the country to fight his case. In reality, I don't see anyone as powerful as RG going away easily especially in the indian judicial system. He will be convicted but maybe get bail every few months like sanjay dutt or live a comfortable lifestyle behind bars.
Shreya will most likely be charged with conspiracy to murder but unless there is some serious evidence, I see her getting away with it. even if she is convicted, she will not get more than 10 years. her lawyer can easily use the insanity defence and stick her in a mental asylum for a couple of years then freedom as long as she is on her meds. obviously, I'm giving common facts here and I don't expect tv shows to be this realistic.

I too shall miss writing on the episodes Sona. :(

Yes, Manav's change of heart was convincing, Kabir isn't manipulative anymore, but still manages to utilise Manav, good of him,

kabir had always been superb behind d newsdesk ...he looks like a professional news reader dat tym ...

d expectant look n longing in his eyes were easily expressing d state of his mind n heart ...ananya having fb of armaan n kabir's convo wen he called anita ma was good touch ...

When it comes to Ananya, Kabir carries his heart in his eyes, for the whole world to see. Yup, Ananya's FB was a nice touch.

i alwaz wanted ananya to concile wid kabir alleast on last mon ...but alas ...

Hhaha, Isabel, you should watch it to give you a closure ;). Anyway, it was not a bad episode. The one scene I liked, but forgot to mention, Kabir talking about how he feels the same way he felt when he wrote his first article, Kabir lost the pleasure of his job somewhere on the way, most probably due to his failure in exposing SK's killers, Reporting was his passion, but it had become just a tool to achieve his thirst for power, and he now comes to a full cycle by regaining his passion and contentment in reporting. That way if you see, Reporters is truly a Kabir Sharma story.

I agree, Anita looks too young to be called 'maa' by Kabir ;).
