Geeta :
nice ananlysis. a lot has already been said by everyone, and that leaves very less scope for me to add something. however as i surfed through the forum pages and read everyone's comments, i had a realization, and i thought of sharing it here.
the CVs have borrowed heavily from NBT SSN2 track. Ananya's behavior towards Kabir indicates that she's currently suffering from a form of Survivor's Guilt -
1. due to Ronnie's untimely death (she held herself responsible when she woke up)
2. due to her father's case ( it's not that she doesnt realize the complexities but then she realizes too that somewhere she failed as a daughter and a journo to do something for her innocent father and that's why the culprits are still roaming free)
point 1 & 2 combined results in her current behavior towards Kabir, all the hesitation and awkwardness and being non-vocal and non-accepting of her love towards him stems from there. in her mind she considers herself unworthy and undeserving of happiness and such pure love from Kabir, when she is a failure herself. that certainly doesnt mean that she doesnt love Kabir. she loves him as much as he loves her. else when Sunny talked of "bad news" her first instinctive reaction would never had been worrying about Kabir's well- being. also that explains her seeking comfort in Kabir whenever she's on the verge of a breakdown (like the cabin scene before arrest) even after saying that they are together "only professionally".
and hence, as per video segments, if it appears that Ananya accepts Kabir back after he proves SK innocent, it's not because her love is conditonal, but coz a huge guilt will be off her chest and she can finally embrace happiness whole-heartedly.
and point 2 explains all her irrational and volatile behavior towards RG and Shreya. as per her, she had already wasted so much time that now she cant wait a minute more to bring the culprits to book. her father was always her weak point and now her added guilt + frustration at her own self makes her emotionally unstable and easily manipulable by RG and Shreya, and it makes her lash out at them without thinking of the consequences, thereby often sending her off on a self-destructive rampage.
but why is Kabir "tolerating her nonsense" (as per forumites)? the answer was given long back by the man himself to Malvika, he sees a replica of himself in her. back in those days, he saw a replica of his long-lost happy self in her, today he sees a replica of the emotionally volatile and self-destructive Kabir in her - the Kabir who was intentionally repeatedly insulted in public, in front of his colleagues that he kept on making mistakes one after another, to the extent that one day in a fit of rage he slapped his editor in DK, (if Ananya taking up gun against RG was insane, then who slaps his editor in rage? both are extreme reactions after all !) , the Kabir who was mentally abused and manipulated by Shreya to the extent that he was forced to commit something as heinous as ONS, and that too with his best friend. yes i call it heinous coz from a stand-alone perspective, a married man committing ONS is absolutely unpardonable. but when we analyze Kabir's case, we realize there's a different story to it. it's almost like pushing a person to the tip of a cliff, and keep pushing so that he falls down. and when he topples off from there, you blame him for not being able to stay in control, instead of acknowledging your own role in the mishap.
and that's why Kabir could never bring himself to scold Ananya or be mad with her, inspite of all her irrationality. coz he empathizes with her. despite Ananya's harsh words, he doesnt have an iota of doubt on her love but knows what she's going through. coz he has been in the same state of mind years back. years back when he had broken down and resorted to alcoholism, he had no one to hold his hand and console him. so today when he sees a vulnerable Ananya, he decides to be her unconditional support ..he doesnt want her to go through the same loneliness.
that's it folks. hope i have been able to explain myself.đ
