If she doesnt go back now, her character will entirely be finished... because in that case, no matter what Kabir does, it will be a tragic ending and if CVs are promising us to be a happy ending and its being said not only once but many times by the writer himself then she has to react positive... And I think, instead of raising doubts we should also remain positive!!!
