Honestly speaking, I haven't watched every episode of the show, it is only the last 3 weeks I am regularly watching, the manipulative Kabir who pushed away his opposition (Manv) with ruthless precision lured me in ;). Prior to that, I have watched most of the tracks, maybe not every scene. The reason for my 'not so consistent' involvement is I felt it was unrealistic of the makers to show these two journos (Kabir & Ananya) solving every case they are coming across, be it murder, kidnapping or some scam or even drug cases. In reality, mostly the scams get exposed by media by some sting operations, but the murder and kidnapping are purely the police domain. Reporters do nothing but reporting of them. And in some of these investigations, I felt there was too much of creative liberty,

But the current tracks I am watching regularly. Coming to the Kabir loving Ananya or not, I think he does.

When they first met, and he kind of shunned her off, I felt why this guy is being so ruthless with her when it was her footage that gave him his first big break in KKN. He was polite to even Manav who actually was showing off at that time, and he was politely firm with everyone of the subordinates, but Ananya always faced worst of his sarcastic tongue,. I think it was an attraction at first sight, he was irritated by that attraction he felt for her which provoked him to snap at her. I think the attraction paved way to appreciation over the period of time for the dare-devil attitude she has in reporting, be in the case of meeting the actress who was remanded for prostitution or doing that sting operation at her own office to expose the sports administer, etc. Amidst this appreciation, he also felt exasperation at times, such as the time when he referred her as stupid reporter to Khurana, and these exasperating moments were kind of endearing for him, her youthful exuberance was addictive I guess. Next comes the comradeship, when they worked together on hospital case, etc. I guess, during all these, there was another quality of her which impressed him, her frankness, she never tried to butter him up, it was obvious she hero worshiped him, but his position or power never stopped her from speaking him up, inspite of being critical, she also continued to look up to him, guess that was a heady combo. Being liked for what you are rather than your position, especially for a lone, tortured soul like Kabir.

All along Kabir treated her just like a mentor, but he had more expectation on her than a mentor, he wanted her to trust him blindly,. None of us trust our mentors and bosses blindly, but why Kabir expected that, thats where the change in dynamics become explicit, he shunned her off, hurt her, and then wanted to apologise to her. Certainly not a boss - subordinate relationship.

Then comes the hostage, which brought them closer, in every way that is relevant. They had to rely on each other, be one another's support system, they passed it with flying colours. There is no turning back now.

If you notice the FB yesterday, it clearly depicted the sequence.. The bracelet scene was from the attraction phase, the thumb up was appreciation, the stupid reporter was exasperation and so on..

But how far is the realisation in Kabir, does he know he wants her in his life forever? We need to wait & watch..
