@Geetha_R:
Kabir is feeling guilty for inflicting pain on Ananya, though he is the just the messenger, and he wants to be the one who applies balm to the pain, because it will not only sooth her pain, it would also sooth his guilt.her pain is getting reduced by sharing with her family and friends whereas his pain is heightened in solitude.she would never think of impressing Ronnie, with Kabir, she would want to put her best foot forward, her conflicting feelings towards him is one reason, he being the symbol of her lost hope is another and the newness of their friendship is the third.how can he offer solace when he is in need of it more...It was the moment when the pleasure becomes pain, the beautiful memories coming back to haunt, not because they became any less beautiful, but because of your fear that you might never get another such moment
Oh! You said it brilliantly! Absolutely Loved the above lines!😳

It was the moment when the pleasure becomes pain, the beautiful memories coming back to haunt, not because they became any less beautiful, but because of your fear that you might never get another such moment, when you realise you are inadequate to do the one thing you desperately want to do, and that you are falling deep deep down. I have no words to say about Kabir, he melted my heart..
Though I agree with you, but I feel he is feeling guilty for something in past also. That guilt comes to haunt him again and again. One such episode you mentioned above.
Geetha : Yes, his pain is not just for the present, it is also for something he had done in past, not with Ananya though. He feels guilty for something which he did with someone else which he thinks resulted in same, i.e., taking off their happiness and hope. My line 'whenever we encounter some fresh set of pain, it most often reopens some old wounds, that's exactly what is happening with Kabir.' implies that, guess I didn't put it across clearly.The way you put the above (bold lines) are awesome.Here I have a disagreement if I've not misunderstood your intent on the following"because of your fear that you might never get another such moment, when you realise you are inadequate to do the one thing you desperately want to do, and that you are falling deep deep down."IMO its not the fear of not getting such moments again -but The guilt of inflicting pain and helplessness to be with her, was killing him.Geetha : I think the reason for Kabir's angst is multifold. Yes, he is feeling guilty for inflicting pain, which I had mentioned in the beginning. Here, what I mentioned is w.r.t the FBs they had shown, Kabir was reminiscing about the moments he shared with Ananya, both professional and personal. Those moments are happy ones, should bring pleasure, but here it is bringing pain for him, thats because he is scared that he might never get to share another such moment with her. It is an irrational fear, but most often we humans are irrational especially when it comes to someone who matter so very much to us.
