Ananya: Ma!! How many times will you repeat the instructions?!

AM: Kabir youll take care of her right?

Kabir: Don't worry Ma. Everything will be fine.

Kabir and Ananya reached Jaipur in the evening. Richa and Ronnie were the only children of well to do parents. The families had decided to conduct the wedding at a beautiful palace. The palace was decorated in orange and pink colors adding to the royal effect.

Ananya: THIS IS SPECTACULAR. Just look at the colors Kabir. And look at the detailing in the dcor. Everything carries the insignia of RR for Richa and Ronnie. This is going to be the best wedding ever!

Kabir was amused by Ananya's excitement. But felt a pang of guilt when she went on to say.

You know as kids Richa and I had always dreamed about having fairytale weddings. I am so glad her dream is coming true.

Richa was super excited to see Ananya. The two of them where chatting in her room for hours. There was a knock on the door.

Richa: Kabir, please come in.

Kabir: Ananya you need to go and sleep. It's been a very long day. Richa I assume beauty sleep will help you too?

Ananya protested. Kabir finally relented and gave her a deadline of half hour.

Ananya: He's worse than my mother!

Richa: I think its super sweet. He loves you so much and the way he takes care of every little thing.

Ananya: That's true. He is a complete sweetheart

Richa: Ananya have you guys discussed marriage? Now with him getting a closure on Shreya, he is probably ready to move on?

Ananya: No yaae. We are in such a happy space these days...

Richa: But you want all this don't you?

Ananya: Of course I do, but not at the cost of him feeling suffocated. Now drop this serious conversation! And show me your entire wedding trousseau.

Exactly half hour later Kabir came to check on Ananya. This time she went without a fuss.

Next day was the Mehendi Ceremony in the morning.

Ananya sat admiring her Mehendi. Kabir came and joined her.

Aananya: Beautiful isn't it?

Kabir: It's lovely. But not as lovely as you.

You have had lunch?

Ananya: How can I? I can't touch anything lest my mehendi get spoiled.

Kabir: Not a problem

Before she could say anything. Kabir had gotten a plate of food and had started feeding her with his hands.

Ananya: Kabir everyone's looking at us.

Kabir: As if I care!

Ananya blushed but was inwardly thrilled by all the care and attention Kabir showered on her.

In the evening the cocktail and sangeet was scheduled.

Ananya had decided not to dance because she didn't want it to take a toll on her health. But her foot kept tapping seeing everyone dance

Kabir came and sat next to her

Kabir: You are missing out on the dancing, right?

Ananya: I am. But I am sure your daughter and I will make up for it getting you to dance to our tunes.

Kabir: Ananya you are crazy. But that's why I love you.

As the evening progressed the entire KKN gang started a drinking competition. Since Ananya couldn't participate they were trying to get Kabir to drink. But Ananya was aware of Kabir's past with alcohol and made sure that they left him alone.

Ananya: Not done. Kabir promised me that he'd give me company with the juices and mocktails. He can't have all the fun without me.

The gang continued with its drinking competition without Kabir.

Kabir: Thanks Ananya!

Ananya: Don't be silly Kabir.

Next day dawned bright and sunny. Later in the day, the starts twinkled brightly in the sky.

Everyone was getting ready. Ananya had finished helping Richa and had just returned to her room to get ready. Kabir knocked on her door to find her sitting on the bed sulking.

Kabir: What happened darling? Why are you sulking like a baby?

Ananya: I should never have decided to wear a saree. I need to straighten the pleats and I can't bend properly.

Kabir: Such a small issue? I'll help you!

Ananya: Have you ever done this before?!

Kabir: No. But I am good at following instructions.

Kabir helped Ananya out and when she finally saw herself in the mirror she was very happy with the results.

Kabir: If I were richa I'd be very angry with you today.

Ananya: Why?!!

Kabir: You look stunning and you'll end up stealing the bride's thunder.

Ananya blushed and hit Kabir playfully.

Ananya: Kabir, it's a perfect night for a wedding isn't it? Everything is going as per plan for Richa's fairytale wedding.

The KKN Gang had a lot of fun during the pre-wedding rituals. The entry of the baraat/ jaimal, stealing Ronnie's shoes. The air was full of fun and frolic.

The actual ceremony began at 1 am. The air had become chilly. Before she could say anything, Kabir draped a shawl around Ananya's shoulders.

Kabir: I knew you'd need it.

The priest began reading and explaining the wedding vows. Kabir hadn't paid much attention to the vows when he had gotten married to Shreya. He was too enchanted by her looks. But today he felt the need to listen attentively. Suddenly it struck him how he and Ananya had fulfilled these vows even without being married. Ananya had truly been his better half accepting him with all his flaws, supporting him, always being there for him.

Ananya: Kabir, what happened? You look more emotional than the two families?

Kabir: I had an epiphany.

Ananya: Care to share it with me?

Kabir:I will share it at the right time. But trust me it was a beautiful realization. Almost as beautiful as you.

And he gave a surprised and pleased Ananya a gentle and warm kiss.
