Kabir and Ananya had been in a relationship for 6 months. In this period Ananya had seen the softer, sensitive and hopelessly romantic side of Kabir. He had also begun opening up to her. About most things at least.

But there was one aspect of his life he refused to talk about - his divorce with Shreya. He had told her that it had been a bitter parting. He had also admitted that he had never had an affair with Tarini. But he didn't say a word more.

Ananya kept bringing this up with him. She trusted him 100%. But she knew that they couldn't move ahead till they had closure about his past.

Ananya had begun accompanying Kabir to his meet-ups with Anurag. Anurag had taken an instant liking to Ananya and sometimes even ganged up with Ananya against Kabir.

Today Kabir and Anurag were having a chocolate eating competition. Tarini had tried stopping this ridiculous competition but with no success.

Ananya and Tarini sat together watching the two "boys" go crazy!

Ananya: Those two really love each other, don't they? Being with Anurag brings pure unbridled joy in Kabir's life. Something that even I am not able to bring...

Ananya looked downcast.

Tarini: Ananya is everything all right?

Ananya: Tarini I love Kabir and he loves me. But he isn't letting me into his life. I am not sure how long I can...

If you don't mind my asking, what happened with Shreya? How do you and Anurag fit into it?

Ananya stopped speaking. Kabir was standing in front of her and he looked angrier than she had ever seen him before.

Kabir: Go on! ASK WHAT YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO ASK. IS ANURAG MY SON? DID I HAVE AN AFFAIR WITH Tarini? Haven't I already answered these questions? I am so tired of these questions. And tired of you!

Tarini: Kabir, stop it.

Ananya: No, Tarini. Let him go on. At least he is talking!

Kabir: What more do you want to here? My wife dumped me because she thought I was worthless and a cheat. And you are no different from her Ananya. Suspicious and small-minded. I can't believe I let myself fall in love with you. You are no different. You don't trust me!

Ananya: No Kabir. The fact of the matter is that you don't trust me enough to let me into your life. I am tired of being the outsider in your life. It's over Kabir. Our relationship is over!

Tarini tried stopping her.

Tarini: Kabir stop her!

Kabir: NO! It was never meant to be.

Tarini: ENOUGH KABIR! You were so scared that she'd leave you some day that you pushed her away instead. Ananya never doubted you. If she had, she would never have embraced Anurag and me as a part of your life. She only wanted you to let her in.

Life gave you a second chance. And you just blew it away.
