Kabir: I'll never make this mistake again. But she hasn't spoken to me in the past 3 weeks. Not at work. Not at home. I have tried accompanying her for her doctor's appointments but she refused. I am still following up with her doctor and I am very concerned about her. She is very stressed and it's taking a toll on her health.
Ananya's house
AM: Ananya I don't feel like going like this. But your Maasi's had a heart attack and I need to be with her...
Ananya: Ma I am not a baby.
AM: You aren't. But with your health.. and ... Anyways you have my no. Call me if you need anything. And if there's any sort of emergency call Kabir. I have told him that i am not going to be in the city...
Ananya: You told Kabir?! Why would you do that? This is none of his business. After everything he has done he has no place in my life or my baby's
AM: I am as angry with him as you are. But we cant ignore the fact that his wife aborting his baby in the past has...
Ananya: I can't believe this. You are now speaking in favor of him.
AM: I am not speaking in favor of anyone. But you have to understand one thing. You can sever all ties with Kabir. But you cannot change his relation with his child. And I think you are being unfair to him by not letting him be a father to the child.

At work that day.
11 pm
Kabir: I promised myself that I wouldn't interfere. But it's 11 pm.
Ananya: I can see the time.
Kabir: Ananya, you need to be more careful about your health. And working such long hours isn't good for you.
Ananya: What if i tell you that work is the only thing that keeps me sane and alive.
Kabir: It kills me to hear that and I am willing to do anything to improve that.
Ananya: Stay away from me.
Kabir: If that makes things better. But my driver is downstairs. At least let him drop you home.
Later that night.
Kabir recalled Ananya's words.

Just then his phone rang.
Ananya: Kabir I have been having very severe cramps.. i didn't know who else to call...
Kabir: I'll be there in 10 minutes.
He rushed to her house, picked her and took her to the hospital.
Dr: Kabir I never interfere in my patients' personal lives. But you two need to sort things out. It's taking a huge toll on Ananya's health. She had severe bleeding and at this rate she'll put both her child's and her own life at risk.
Kabir went and sat by Ananya's bed. She looked frail and tired. She slowly opened her eyes.
Kabir: I know you don't want me in your life. But I can't go away till you are fine.
Ananya nodded her face in acnkowledgement.
Kabir was a devoted caretaker to Ananya over the next one week. Ananya had to push him to go to office. But he spent every spare moment with her at her apartment. Looking after her, feeding her, making her laugh. Yes after almost a month she was laughing again.
Ananya: Kabir Ma comes back tomorrow
Kabir's face fell.
Kabir: That's nice. Well you wont have to see my face any more.
Ananya: Kabir I am sorry. I went overboard. I was upset with you and I still am. I dont know what the future of our relation is or if we even have a future together. But you are the father of this baby and a very devoted one at that. I always want us to remain connected as parents.
Kabir's face lit up.
Kabir: I can't tell you how grateful I am and also how sorry for what I did. I did let my past disrupt our present.
Ananya: That's enough depressing talk for a day. Now where's my dinner. I feel double the hunger given that I am eating for two.
Ananya and Kabir spent the next three months starting afresh. Giving their relationship a fresh chance. Ananya's unconditional love was slowly but surely healing Kabir. Ananya wondered what shape their love would take. But for now she was happy. And of course they were a set of happy and excited prospective parents.

Outside the venue
Ananya: Why did the dress code insist on gowns?
Kabir: I thought you loved gowns
Ananya: I did. When I had a human being's figure. Look at me now. I look like a baby elephant
Kabir laughed and Ananya glared at him
Kabir: Are you serious? You look spectacular. And the glow on your face.It can light up a whole room.
Now can we go in.
Kabir and Ananya made a grand entry. They always looked good together.
Malvika: I can't understand these two.
Manav: First it was Kabir's insistence that he wont get married
Malvika: And ever since Kabir created that Mahabharat in office, Ananya refuses to take him as a life partner.
Manav: And yet they look like a completely in-love couple. Look at the media going crazy taking their photos.
KKN won the award for the best news channel and Kabir won the award for Mediaperson of the year.
Kabir: I am thankful to everyone who made this day possible. I want to dedicate this award to the woman who gives meaning to my life. You know who you are.
And he winked mischievously sending all the female hearts racing.
Ananya: You couldn't resist flirting on stage as well.
Kabir: Someone's jealous.
Ananya: Ha! I don;t need to be. Like you said I know who I am.
Kabir: Btw this is the first and the last time I dedicate an award to you. All my future awards will be dedicated to my baby girl.
Before Ananya could respond an icy voice interrupted them
Some things never change. Kabir Sharma is still crazy about children.
They turned around to see a woman. Kabir's face went pale and tightended his grip around Ananya.
