Sach Kya Hai? - 14/3
I finally understood some things. xD
Ananya and Sunny managed to fool the guards with some college project story, and give them a false chip and run away. Everyone is impressed, Manav, Malavika, Bhaskar. Everybody. Manav, Khaled's son I think, calls up someone to blackmail Bhaskar the Editor, to NOT telecast the news, so, his Dad would remove him, and make Malvika, his girlfriend the Editor, who I think, is KL's daughter, the guy above Khaled.
Kabir prints it. He works in Delhi Kranti. But, the owner understands that he is showing it to Khaled that he can do it. Kabir wants power.
Ananya is upset that they couldn't telecast the news. Her Dad has left home eight years ago, and I think her brother is Armaan, who is in college. In the morning, she is happy that the truth is out about the politician. She comes to know that DK office has been vandalized. They run to cover the news, she is speechless when she meets Kabir.
Khaled asks Bhaskar to resign, convinces KL that Kabir would be excellent and Kabir reaches there.
Kabir has joined KKN, leaving DK and takes the Pandit's blessings.
Precap - Ananya stammers infront of Kabir, who says that he would have thought twice if he knew there were such reporters here.
My Take
Some things got clearer. Manav is clearly a loafer. He wants to spoil the channel for his girlfriend, who seems to be professional, and cold as of now. Khaled acted pretty well, today, read paragraph 22 and leave. Kabir stole the show yet again. I mean RK.
KK was good too, the stunt they pulled upto fool the guards was really funny.
We can see hell lot of politics happening here and time and again the question comes up, Sach kya hai? Honestly, what is the truth here? It is perspective based. Media does not tell us the truth as it is. Noit barefaced, naked truth. They tell us what is advantageous to them. Everyone works for their advantage in this world.
It is not wrong, though, not at all.
There is some mystery around Ananya's family, especially the dad. RK was superb when he said he is power hungry. But, I don't agree that people watch the news, and don't read black and white news on the papers. Newspapers aren't threatened by TV or Internet, otherwise TOI would have shut shop years ago. But ya, I got the point. He could have showcased the news better if he had a TV show instead of a newspaper.
Ananya, is young and yet to understand the rules of the game that, journalists are in there, not for truth and facts but for TRPs. Jo tikta hai, wahi bikta hai.
Kabir is absolutely fabulous in his ideals, in his dialogues.
He walks out of DK to KKN.
So, one thing. Bhaskar got out, but Malvika didn't become Editor, Kabir did.
I am looking forward to the next episode.
Personally I feel, Ananya's role has to be better written in order to match up with Kabir's. On one hand. we see his high handedness, and on the other, we have her childish ways. It is a welcome distraction from all the solemnity, still it will lose it if they don't better upon it.
One thing, I found intriguing is that, Ananya was happy that the news came out, but wasn't sad that HER efforts got wasted. I think, they are trying to show her as good, and honest, and not hungry for personal glory. But let us face facts. Everyone is like that. I don't want an idealistic show that Ananya is too good, selfless while Kabir is selfish. xD
