Tia had been sitting idle in her room, trying hard to figure out what to wear. It was so not Tia to be confused when it came to clothes. But this time, it was different. She had given up on life completely, ever since Ranveer had left her. She had tried to see other people, but her heart didn't seem ready to let go off her first love. She felt incomplete without him. She couldn't imagine her life without him. Today, yet again, she was going on a blind date with someone whom she had interacted with over the internet. He seemed very nice and genuine, that when he asked to meet her, she instantly agreed. Tia slowly picked up a baby pink halter neck dress and stared at it.
Tia's POV
Why am I doing this? Who am I trying to kid? How can I even imagine life with someone else when I love only Ranveer? Why did this have to happen to me? I would have been better off had I not met him. But he loved me too. What went wrong then? Was it me? Or was it him? Or, was it that we were just not meant to be? Sure, cuteboy13 seems like a nice guy. But I haven't met him, god damn; I even don't know his name! There's no way I could ever fall in love again. If it only weren't for that day, the worst one in my entire life.
~Flashback~
"Ranveer!" I called out to him, as I went running over to him. He stood there, completely motionless. His face seemed devoid of any expression. His eyes seemed sore. Was he crying?
"Tia" he said dully, and then hugged me tightly as I stopped in front of him, trying to make out his expression.
I hugged him back willingly, trying to ignore the fact that he seemed too dull. Was he alright? I slowly broke out of the hug and looked up at him earnestly. "What's wrong Ranveer?"
He seemed hesitant. He looked around awkwardly, and then finally settled his gaze on me. "Tia, I, uhm,"
"You what?" I asked him, anxious now.
"I'm going." He said it all in one breath, avoiding meeting my gaze this time.
"Where?" I asked softly, trying hard to stop my voice from breaking.
"Back to Sanganer" he replied.
"But why?" I asked him, and then suddenly hugged him tightly.
"Because, we're not meant to be. And ma needs me too." he replied, patting my back gently. "Your dad will never agree for us to be together."
I looked up at him in complete shock, the tears now streaming down my eyes. "Ranveer, you know that's not true! Papa really loves you, and if necessary, I'll talk to him once again!" he couldn't be serious. Papa really liked him.
"Tia, he might not say it, but I know it. There's a vast difference between our family backgrounds. It's best for us to part ways. We're not meant to be. Goodbye Tia, and if luck favors, we might meet some day." He said, and then walked away from there, without giving me a chance to speak. I just fell down to my knees and began crying hysterically.
~Flashback ends~
I had tears in my eyes as I recounted all of it. It had been four years since then, and he never came back. I had lost him. I slowly wiped my tears away. "It's okay Tia. You will definitely move on in life. Maybe we were really not meant to be."
I was already dressed up, and left to meet my blind date. He said he would be dressed in a black suit, with a red rose in his hand. I was slowly beginning to get excited to meet him, wondering how he looked. I entered the restaurant, and saw all the couples enjoying their time. I slowly looked around, till my eyes suddenly popped out and my feet froze to the ground. I felt dizzy. It could not be him. It just couldn't. Ranveer?
Ranveer's POV
I had been waiting patiently for her to come. Princess23. I didn't know how she looked; neither did I know her name. I had just met her online, and instantly felt connected to her. It felt as though I knew her since ages. I couldn't help but ask her out on a date. A blind date. And surprising enough, she agreed! I told her I'd be wearing a black suit and holding a rose for her. Maybe I could finally get over her, Tia. I know I did wrong, but I was helpless. Our standards didn't match. She was way too rich for me. I'm sure she might have moved on though. Why would she wait around for four years for me? But today, when I finally have become something, I don't have her with me. Gosh, I love her.
I slowly turned around, looking around for princess23. I kept searching the crowd, till my gaze slowly stopped on the figure in front of me. It was her? Oh my goodness, it was her! Tia.
Third Person POV
Both Tia and Ranveer looked at each other in complete astonishment. Neither of them seemed to be able to believe their eyes. It was actually the person they loved more than anything in this world. They slowly took small steps towards each other, and eventually stopped, their gaze fixed on each other.
"Cuteboy13?" "Princess23?" they both spoke out at the same time. They looked at each other in complete shock.
"It was you all this while?" Tia asked her voice shaky.
Ranveer nodded slowly. "I told you, if luck favors, we would definitely meet. Tia, I'm really happy to see you." He slowly grabbed Tia into his arms.
Tia was stunned, but happy at the same time. She could feel herself crying. She gently punched him on his chest. "You dehaati, why did you leave me like that?"
Ranveer tightened his hold as he patted her back gently. "I won't leave you ever. I love you Tia."
"I love you too, you fool." Tia said, suddenly burying her head into his chest, crying uncontrollably.
Ranveer slowly broke out of the hug, and looked at Tia. He slowly bent down, and kissed her softly on her lips. Tia responded back, and that was their first ever kiss. The kiss that marked that nothing could separate them, ever. Even destiny knew it, that they were always meant to be.
