Mara "Hara" Rudra

(My "green" Rudra)

Parvati and Rudra were painting their baby's nursery in the green colour they decided on. Samrat, even Sumer had volunteered to help paint the room but Rudra refused, he wanted it to do himself. When Parvati pleaded to help him with the painting he wanted to say no, but one glance at those sweet hazel eyes and adorable pout, he had to agree to her zid. (Stubbornness)

He removed the few pieces of furniture from the nursery and placed them in the wide hallway. He applied newspapers onto the nursery's floor and brought in the paint supplies. Parvati brought extra cloths in case of any spills.

Rudra began painting the high and low areas of the walls while Parvati painted the middle of the walls, which were just in her reach. While Paro was painting the middle of the wall, accidentally some of the green paint got on Rudra's head, as he was painting the low part of the same wall she was painting.

"Parooo..." Rudra growled as he felt the paint drop on his hair.

Paro stifled a laugh seeing Rudra's face, "Maaf karna Major Saab..." (Forgive me Rudra)

Hearing her sweet sorry, he nodded. She handed him a cloth and he wiped the paint off. Both of them resumed painting in silence.

After a few minutes, a smile crept onto Parvati's face, she dipped the brush into the paint bucket and was just about to smear Rudra with it, when he looked up at her unexpectedly. Seeing the brush in Parvati's hand and the expression on her face, he knew exactly what was cooking in that mind of hers.

"Parooo socha bhi mat!" (Don't think about it!) Rudra held up his finger and warned his wife.

Parvati smiled sheepishly and asked, "Hmm kaun rokungi mujhe?" (...who will stop me?)

Before Rudra could say a word, Parvati pasted the brush with green paint all over Rudra's white kurta top.

Rudra swiftly grabbed his brush and dipped it in the bucket, he took it out and smeared it on Paro's arms.

"Hawww..." came Paro's prompt reaction.

Rudra stood up and mimicked her reaction, "Hawww"

Before Paro could run away, he encircled his arms around her, making the colour from the front of his kurta top rub against her back.

He shifted her long tresses to her shoulder so he could fully see her back. He began tracing his fingers along her back, with the splatters of green paint from his clothes.

She felt his fingers tracing her back, it tickled. "Kya karahi hai" (What are you doing?)

He leaned in and whispered against her ears, "Naam, mera naam lik raha hoon. (Name, writing my name...) His voice made goose bumps appear onto her skin, she bit her lips.

He whispered each letter into her ear as he formed the letter onto her back, "R... U... D...R...A... Hogaya" (Done)

He walked her over to their room and made tilt her back in front of the mirror so she could see his name on her. She smiled and proudly said, "Mara Rudra." (My Rudra) He kissed her forehead and she hid in his arms.

Beautifully written dear. Parvati's cheekiness is truly missed, especially when it rubs off onto our major saab.
Thank you for informing me of this update, I'm pleased that you did, such a delight have read your work. Too bad it was short, please trying extending your stories to the best of your ability, you write to well for them to be short lived. Nonetheless, looking extremely forward to the Neela Angan.

Lots of love,
Ru.
