So does a woman have the right to marry again if the man is infertile?

I am sure the answer is NO in the society portrayed in RangRasiya or maybe it's a norm in the entire society...whether it's rural or urban?
It's appalling to see how quickly a woman is discarded if she is unable to conceive or produce a male child ? Is she just an incubator and nothing else? Does she have no value as a human being at her in- laws?

Here in an earlier episode it was mentioned that Samrat is the one who has the problem and not Mailthili...yet, this man who proclaims to love his wife...let her take the blame time and again...knowing very well that the problem lies with him. What a scumbag!

Well, what I really want to see from this track is...Mailthili having the guts to say aloud and ask the question...' Do I have the same right ? If a man can discard a woman for not being able to conceive...so should the woman?

But ofcourse...it's not going to happen...who am I kidding...the day this happens India would be a changed nation after all... where women would be respected and not treated as a commodity.

I know...right? I felt so disgusted to know that he has been fasting for her...yet let her take all the blame. Seriously...if you love her so much...have the balls to stand up for her in real instead of fasting or whatever.

Priyanka, as much as it pisses me off too.. This happens quiet a lot in India... And not just urban places but in cities too... If not about remarriage, it is about conceiving till the In-laws get a male child.. One of my own friend was pressured by her in-laws for a male child... She had 2 girls and then went into third pregnancy in the hope of a boy. And mind you, she is educated, stays in US and is working.. I really felt bad for her when one day she called me up, confused and said her husbands family suggested that they find out the sex of the fetus very early in pregnancy and abort the child if it was a girl.. The poor girl was so tired to fight them that she almost agreed to it... I made her understand that she needs to fight, to explain and make her husband understand that what they are planning to do is very wrong... Luckily her husband supported her finally and she didn't get that sex test... But she ended up with 3 children, last one luckily a boy.

I really feel sad for those women who are unfortunately blamed for infertility and not being able to give birth to a boy. These people who ask for a male child just because he will carry their name... Disgusting. Today when Samrat asked Mohini, How can she be sure that she will get a Grand son?? I liked it... People are so blinded by their desire that they forget to see the big picture... Ya, I would like Maithili and Samrat to stay together and tell Mohini to back off from their lives.

Between, I don't remember when they said Samrat was responsible for infertility?? He just said in one of the episodes that Mohini shouldn't blame Maithili as the fault can as well be in him. 😕

This track disgusts me to no end but let's hope it brings some attention to the issue of how a childless woman can be treated. I made a post on this yesterday because I was so angry at the treatment of all the women involved in the story except Mohini.

Rapunzale...Shweta...Hope...the actress who plays Maithili talks about the scene where she stops Samrat from telling his mother that he's responsible for their lack of children in this video, she starts talking about it from 3:47 onwards:

hi Minuu...How are you girl😛...I haven't been watching RR lately...just can't relate to anything. Watched it today just to see the new villian but the whole thing was a letdown for me. But I had to make a post today because this whole issue with Maithili/Samrat is extremely repulsive and regressive. I read a recent article about India being a country where female infanticide is at it's extreme. It is just appalling how girl child are been killed and women being punished for not producing a male heir...knowing very well that a male carries the deciding gender sperm. I don't understand...is it just ignorance or the lack of education ?
