Hello Guys, here's Smitar's take on last night's episode. Enjoy! đ
Paro is in full pushing' mode as she forces Rudra to stop running long enough to find out which crocodile ate his Maasa. She asks him, requests him, begs him, scolds him, threatens him...and then goes to do the job herself.
Rudra sits in his office sipping water and sweating while we see his ten heads rotating and revolving. Before our heads start spinning, Aman bhaisa arrives for a second and tells us (very clearly) that he has found the runaway Maasa "as per Sir's orders." Dhanya ho, Paro baisa. Your jaadoo chal gaya.
Paro dabs sunscreen on her bootifool face and goes to the market to look for Mala. She is sure that Maasa has come to the market to buy kaddoo to make sabzi for dinner. The market is a safe zone from Tejawat, where all gawah against Teju are protected by baingans and palak and aloo and pyaaz. She runs around asking random men and women if they have seen Mala, the Maasa with itchy feet, rolling about like a stone gathering no moss or sons, wearing nachaniya and thorn-in-the-flesh Laila's stinky orange-green lehenga, sporting a band-aid on her forehead... She shows Mala's height with her hand. The height varies with each person. Sometimes Mala is short, sometimes tall in Paro's estimation. Now I know Paro holds Mala in high esteem.
Flooded by such confusing details of Mala's vital statistics, the khareedar and the sabzi waale shake their heads in helplessness. Is Paro asking after lauki? Or kharbooja? Or mooli?
Then her karela of a Major Saab comes to collect her and all the people heave a sigh of relief. They stare at each other in silence for five minutes and we get to see their eyes, his flaring nostrils and hairs of his moonch through the rearview mirror, through the jeep window, through the round mirror on the chain around Basanti the bhains' neck as she was passing by...
The dust flies as Rudra drives through the reth of Rann and its dry shrubs, sending dust flying in to our eyes, jhonking dhool into our and Paro's eyes as he makes his way along familiar roads to Laila's bistar...sorry, ghar. The ghar with the bistar...ahem...and the bathroom and some new clothes. Both son and Maasa have something for Laila's house...ahem...
He parks in his usual place. Tailors sew and iron with no surprise on their faces. They are used to Rudra's BSD jeep and his entries and exits. Paro looks around at the location of Major Saab and Laila's love nest with disgust on her face. Chi! So downmarket a place! Laila has been selling herself cheap, Paro thinks. Her mind lingers on pleasurable thoughts of plush cushions, red silk sheets, fragrant candles, rose petals scattered on the floor, chocolates, two swans to play with, naulakha haar and a diamond nose ring...
"Akele nahi hoga mujhse. Paro, come with me," Rudra calls.
Paro grimaces. What was this boy doing for aatth saal, har raat with Lala baisa? Playing ludo? All her respect for the misunderstood nachaniya and the hot bodywala Major Saab seeps away as she joins him to fight Laila to rescue poor downtrodden Maasa from Laila's clutches.
Paro shows Laila her contempt for her lack of professionalism and bad marketing skills. Rudra, too busy with Paro and Mala, gives Laila, his ex-bai and bawarchi the royal push. Leaving Laila with egg on her face, the trio clambers in to their rusty jeep and drives away.
Maasa begins her Ramayan. We get Kaand number one. The rest is yet to come as Rudra says, "Spare me your lub story. I haven't had lunch yet."
Precap:
Paro realizes that she has to take things in to her own hands if she has to get a life and Chunnu-Munnu this decade.
Paro dumps the lunch thali in Major Saab's hands to keep them occupied. Then she shuts him up with her hand. Then she whispers her long-hidden fantasies in his ear. His eyes rival saucers.
She wonders if the message has reached his brain, crossing the hurdles of his thick hair and his thicker skull. Just to make sure, she shines the green light right into his eyes by giving him a loud smack on his cheek.
Major Saab's eyes pop out.
