Hello Guys, here's Smitar's take on last night's episode. Enjoy! 😃
Paro is in full pushing' mode as she forces Rudra to stop running long enough to find out which crocodile ate his Maasa. She asks him, requests him, begs him, scolds him, threatens him...and then goes to do the job herself.
Rudra sits in his office sipping water and sweating while we see his ten heads rotating and revolving. Before our heads start spinning, Aman bhaisa arrives for a second and tells us (very clearly) that he has found the runaway Maasa "as per Sir's orders." Dhanya ho, Paro baisa. Your jaadoo chal gaya.
Paro dabs sunscreen on her bootifool face and goes to the market to look for Mala. She is sure that Maasa has come to the market to buy kaddoo to make sabzi for dinner. The market is a safe zone from Tejawat, where all gawah against Teju are protected by baingans and palak and aloo and pyaaz. She runs around asking random men and women if they have seen Mala, the Maasa with itchy feet, rolling about like a stone gathering no moss or sons, wearing nachaniya and thorn-in-the-flesh Laila's stinky orange-green lehenga, sporting a band-aid on her forehead... She shows Mala's height with her hand. The height varies with each person. Sometimes Mala is short, sometimes tall in Paro's estimation. Now I know Paro holds Mala in high esteem.
Flooded by such confusing details of Mala's vital statistics, the khareedar and the sabzi waale shake their heads in helplessness. Is Paro asking after lauki? Or kharbooja? Or mooli?
Then her karela of a Major Saab comes to collect her and all the people heave a sigh of relief. They stare at each other in silence for five minutes and we get to see their eyes, his flaring nostrils and hairs of his moonch through the rearview mirror, through the jeep window, through the round mirror on the chain around Basanti the bhains' neck as she was passing by...
The dust flies as Rudra drives through the reth of Rann and its dry shrubs, sending dust flying in to our eyes, jhonking dhool into our and Paro's eyes as he makes his way along familiar roads to Laila's bistar...sorry, ghar. The ghar with the bistar...ahem...and the bathroom and some new clothes. Both son and Maasa have something for Laila's house...ahem...
He parks in his usual place. Tailors sew and iron with no surprise on their faces. They are used to Rudra's BSD jeep and his entries and exits. Paro looks around at the location of Major Saab and Laila's love nest with disgust on her face. Chi! So downmarket a place! Laila has been selling herself cheap, Paro thinks. Her mind lingers on pleasurable thoughts of plush cushions, red silk sheets, fragrant candles, rose petals scattered on the floor, chocolates, two swans to play with, naulakha haar and a diamond nose ring...
"Akele nahi hoga mujhse. Paro, come with me," Rudra calls.
Paro grimaces. What was this boy doing for aatth saal, har raat with Lala baisa? Playing ludo? All her respect for the misunderstood nachaniya and the hot bodywala Major Saab seeps away as she joins him to fight Laila to rescue poor downtrodden Maasa from Laila's clutches.
Paro shows Laila her contempt for her lack of professionalism and bad marketing skills. Rudra, too busy with Paro and Mala, gives Laila, his ex-bai and bawarchi the royal push. Leaving Laila with egg on her face, the trio clambers in to their rusty jeep and drives away.
Maasa begins her Ramayan. We get Kaand number one. The rest is yet to come as Rudra says, "Spare me your lub story. I haven't had lunch yet."
Precap:
Paro realizes that she has to take things in to her own hands if she has to get a life and Chunnu-Munnu this decade.
Paro dumps the lunch thali in Major Saab's hands to keep them occupied. Then she shuts him up with her hand. Then she whispers her long-hidden fantasies in his ear. His eyes rival saucers.
She wonders if the message has reached his brain, crossing the hurdles of his thick hair and his thicker skull. Just to make sure, she shines the green light right into his eyes by giving him a loud smack on his cheek.
Major Saab's eyes pop out.

Unresed!
Smitaaa!! 🤗 What a fab post - funny and warm and razor sharp!!! Loved it - could and have reread it endlessly.
It was a decent episode. Satisfying for a good few reasons: One, because Paro told Rudra the reason why Mala ran away this time. Two, because Paro persuaded Rudra to go search for his Maasa flying in the face of Mohini's (unvoiced) wishes that Mala never returns and stymying that villain's plans to rule the roost. Three, because they actually (thanks to Aman) succeeded in finding Mala - Paro's way would not have worked. Four, because Paro yet again locked Laila out of the discussion and managed to get a private word with Mala.
Five because, most importantly Paro read Mala the riot act and asked her all the right questions - why did she abandon her son that first time? She knew that Mala still yearned for her son. Did Mala know her son still longs for his mother? Did she know he called out for her last night? And how did Mala become so hard-hearted that she was able to turn a deaf ear to his cries? That she would need to decide if she wanted to return to the haveli and to her son's life.
That, to me, was the highlight of the episode. The talking-to delivered in calm tones that made Mala rethink her decision, and without undue pressure was able to persuade Mala to return.
Six and the other interesting bit was that Mala decide to brave her son's fury and tell him all about her running away - the first attempt to bridge the 15-year gap, heal the wounds.
And seven, the precap!! It says something if the precap steals the show!! Romance afoot!!! And good enough to lure Smitar into making this awesome post.
Some of your many points that absolutely hit the spot:
@ Rudra's 10 heads: 👏 I was watching this with mom last night, and she burst out laughing at the many heads! I was speechless, trying to figure out if they were going for a head-spin, trying to signify Ravan or create a hole-in-the-head effect. Completely distracted me from the story at that point!!! 😕😆
@ Mala's variable height: 😆 Clearly Paro has no sense of height/length and perceived Mala's lack of inches in very complimentary terms. Not that the Major Saab would need such generosity of spirit, but, all to the good!
@ Tailors and assorted Tradesmen were unsurprised by Major Saab's re-entry: The only one seemingly put out was Major Saab himself. Needed Paro's support to make it to the door - who was he more reluctant to meet , I wonder, Laila or Maasa?
@ Laila's loss: Yet again, Laila baisa got nowhere, with her line of persuasion. Just another brush-off. He's got her made on this one. And so has Paro for that matter - all important conversations are now taking place behind closed doors.
@ Rusty jeep: I can think of a few symballisms here that I will leave unsaid. 😆
@ Mala's confession: How she thought that now she had her baby boy trapped next to her in the front seat with nowhere to run, she could start narrating her side of the story and he'd listen. Except that he isn't ready for that yet. Good try. But wrong timing! Still there's a longish way to go before the jeep stops and he can't very well clap his hands over his ears - she could have a go again.
@ Precap: Ahhh the highlight! See, the CVs also saved the best for the last. I have to say the gagging of Rudra intrigues me greatly. Why this double manoeuvre? Or was that supposed to be a mutual kiss - she kisses his cheek while he is forced to kiss her fingers instead? Hmmm 😕😃

The way Paro keeps pushing and shoving Rudra towards masa makes me wonder
Is he ready for it?
Does he want to be with his mother?
What is Paro trying to prove?
That since maaa was nice to Paro, she is a good mother and Rudra should give her a chance?
What is Paro trying to achieve here?
Mala is one zombie lady, wrapped up in her own cocoon.does she have any idea as to what was happening around her?
She is really really strange.
I am yet to sympathize with her.as of now, she is just a novody, trying to find footage in the Ranawat Haveli.

Thank you SF. 😃 Delighted it made you laugh!! 😃 Major Saab is quite the tease and these accidentally-on-purpose, increasingly frequent glimpses and brushes of skin and bristles respectively, have got her where he wants her - and thinking she's doing the nudging!! 😃 Sighhh!! Rudrasa is a dark horse - no doubt with much horse power!! 😉😆
