Finally...finally...I was missing him tons!! The rude, obnoxious, arrogant, rough, hot tempered, quick silver, Major Hottie Sa.
And cvs better remember that that is the guy we all fell in love with. One thing that I have noticed and absolutely detest in my very limited knowledge of hindi shows...once the guy falls in love, he turns into a hen pecked, docile, too good to be true, teddy bear kind of hubby. And there goes all the intensity, all the passion, all the strife and angst and conflict, down the drain...arthaat gayi bhains paani mein. And the show ends up exactly like other dime a dozen shows, with boring, weak as water, ideal husbands and ultra strong jhaansi ki raani wives.
What was promised?? An intense, dark, passionate love story...and lately what are we getting 50 shades of domestic bliss!! What attracted us ...the brooding, dark, dangerous, man of weapons..the lean, mean soldier..and what the heck happened to him?? Nothing...he got married!!😲 And once a guy gets married...he goes through various stages of reverse metamorphosis!! But cvs...just a note...the leopard never changes it spots, the tiger cannot hide its stripes...and the lion will always roar!!
Cute and sweet is good...but that is not what this show was all about. This show was about cross border arms smuggling, terrorism, a fearless soldier, a simple girl, about wars and battles, about hate, about sheer intense darkness...Yes, undoubtedly the cvs changed track, the TRP pressure, the channel pressure at work again. We are hearing from various actors how what was promised was not delivered, cause the show is moving in a totally different direction. What a loss!! How helpless, how desperate do I feel right now?? Wish I could let the cvs know that PaRud are wonderful, awesome, unique, fantastic...Sanish are all of this and a lot more, but this is not the way to go about it. Even the best of actors need a strong story, a water tight script, crisp and fast paced editing...in the absence of a strong and gripping storyline...everything is wasted. What they had originally was too good, they just need to keep faith in their creativity and not bow down to pressure...easier said than done I guess!
Sorry for the rant...coming back to the point...it was wonderful to see Major Rudra Pratap Ranawat in action, even for a few minutes. The way he intimidated that man in BSD headquarters, gave me goose bumps again, taking me back to the good ole times where our Hottie Sa was the heartless, relentless machine.
And the way he roared in the house, the moment he saw his doll injured...was fun!! He barked, vented and ranted, threatening and menacing, sparing none. 😃 Sabki parade karva di!! He did bring the whole house down, literally 😆 I was missing this dominant man tons...sigh...felt good!!
Mohini too knows not to mess with him. The way he scolded one n all, especially his Paro, uff!! His royal blunder...agar tujhe kuch ho jaata toh main..mera...lol!! Gotcha Rudy Boy!! 😉 If anything would have happened to your wifey...you would have set the world on fire...Rudra Dev ka Taandav!! And that hand, the rough, strong hand around her delicate waist...so territorial and so possessive !!😳 The sheer strength...although his other hand is out of the mix...but ek hi kaafi hai..haay !!😛
He was caring, loving, possessive, yet he was still our Rudy Boy. And that is precisely what was missing for sooo long.
Go on Rudy...let the whole world know..she is yours, belongs to you...and you will not let anything happen to her, ever!! Roar Baby, ROAR !!
