Ok I will just post what I wrote on Napster's post.
Here you go...my two cents!LET'S REWIND
Captor - Captive bits
I will only bring those situations where Rudra has acted completely out of character even before the marriage!
What aspect of Rudra's jallad-like character made him tend to her swollen foot and place her on his bed that night? He could have simply placed the hot water bag under the foot right where she was - on the floor leaning against his settee.
Just before that what made Rudra lend her his shoulder to lean on with her twisted foot whilst walking out of the haveli. He could have asked Sunheri to do that. LOL Sunheri could have handled two Paros. She did not need a good foot to speak up. Considering BSD tactics more the injury and the pain more a statement can come out of a suspect.
What aspect of Rudra's character made him take a slap for Paro? In fact it would have worked better if she were to be tortured at the hands of someone else and Paro might have given a statement out of sheer frustration and despair.
What aspect of Rudra's character made him tend to Paro's burnt hands, acidic-haldi body or even a mere cut when she was a captive and he fed her.
On the day of the felicitation ceremony, though Paro had ran off with Teju, Rudra only had thoughts of Paro. After his speech and before her confession, all he could think of in that crowd was his Paro.
Then the embarrassment happened. What did Rudra do to Paro really? Did he insult her in front of everyone? Had it been another grey character he would have insulted her and reduced her to tears. Not forgetting his father lay in a coma at home he could have even brought that up. No he heard Paro out. She spoke of their childhood connection and her "Aur dil bhi"
She comes back home pleading to marry her. And he asks the same question to Danveer that we are all asking right now about Rudra's change of heart. Danveer explains "It takes just a moment"
Now from the night of the wedding to before their trip to Jaipur, what has Rudra done to hurt Paro.
The vows sounded scarier than they really were. He did not have to even voice them, but he did and pulled her in his arms during the 8th vachan.
Did he throw her out of the room, manhandled her or verbal abuse. Nothing. He was drunk and a lot more could have been excused had he done any of these things. All he did was forcibly get her to drink milk as against his not consuming MORE alcohol. So technically Paro got him to do something in her own way! Had he to take that bottle to his mouth and empty it AFTER she drank the milk, it would have been an insult to Paro. (which ofcourse usually we have seen grey heroes do - like an ASR, an RK maybe (dunno as did not see the show), or an MJ (the worst of the lot) do in hate marriages- like throw food, throw a cup of tea, walk out of the room, arm-twist, threaten rape, push down a hill, threaten to burn the wife...blah blah)
So there you go...the night was a mess more so for Rudra than Paro. The first night itself Paro managed to stop him from drinking.
Morning after we see a Rudra who warns everyone to dare not harm Paro. And then goes on to tend to her little scratch of a wound. Other shows family members keep taunting the heroine for no rhyme or reason. That's not happening here.
Then came their visit to the BSD office, all he could do was sit there and be stunned to listen to his wife tell VK Singh that this marriage was for keeps for her. She wanted to marry though not the way it happened.
Again we have the SWs around and all his acts are a farce. Yet when he gets to know of her burnt wrist he tends to it and Kakisa gets a worst still warning. Is this the Jallad Rudra who negated all his vows!
Ok then we have the day Paro convinces Damyanti. Like Squivi says it was a turning point of their relationship, His turning back and looking at her, where he might have wanted to thank her. For without her unwavering support he would have lost his identity as a Man. For him his job was like losing his mother again.
The most amazing this about Rudra is that this hero negated all his vows but is doing just the opposite. Whereas we have all anti-heroes going through their real vows on the wedding day, yet working against all of them through their hate/contract marriages.
And to top it off is a woman who does not stop telling him that she loves him, from the very moment of "Aur dil bhi" to the ginti ke bahar pyaar! She tells him and she tells it to the world.
The scene where she tells him, I would ask you about your scar and places her finger on it. His face says it all. He gulps hard...the effect of every word that she says, is hitting him, the outpouring of her love is overwhelming him.
Rudra is already drenched in this love shower Naps. Someone who was parched for love is getting drawn into the Paro web, getting soaked...and he has nowhere to run for shelter...that is if he wants to!
The Jaipur trip acted as a trigger for some of those suppressed feelings to surface. He is loosening up, and taking baby steps to being colored by Paro.
And isn't he the same naughty little boy who made his uncle run in circles around the house?
About the remark on he wished he had never met her that day. Which guy likes his life being turned upside down?. She has complicated things for him. It's a typical mardon waali remark!
One more thing, how much does Rudra know of Paro's relationship with Mala. She only told him that Tej clarified that Mala knew nothing about his gun smuggling and that Mala was like her foster mother. She did not give a detailed account or sung praises over praises.
Considering the way Paro has warmed up to Maithli and calls her jija, and then his father Babusa even before the wedding. Rudra has not dwelt much on Paro-Mala relationship. We have seen as viewers some glimpses of their equation but he hasn't.
When he spoke to Aman, he said he had nothing to do with Mala. He has wiped her out of his mind. Secondly when the Mala bit comes there is going to be a lot of truth out in the open. Thakurian is not a grey character. She is made out to be bad by Mohini. Dilsher too might be at fault somewhere. So it's not like he is going to take it out on Paro.
What I foresee after Rudra falls deeply and madly in love with Paro and admits, Mohini is going to play the charitraheen game. The game of never to trust a beautiful woman, where another man is used (it could be Sumer or even Aman) against Paro. Because Rudra's love for Paro is going to be "saans kaise loon" kind of stifling love. That's when it's going to be painful...but I think Paro is stronger than we think she is. She will come out of her dark phase, and he will go looking for her (realizing his mistake like he did when he put the room in complete darkness)...like the pearl of her odhni!
Phew did I say two cents at the start!
LOL sorry about this...but just could not stop.
Here is a song that I would like to dedicate to Paro & Rudra as I listened to it during my evening walk
Celine Dion - If that's what it takes!

Like ddFan2012 (sorry i don't know your name) pointed out quite beautifully that Rudra is not a typical dark angry young man...he's been soft towards Paro before too so why is it coming as such a surprise now
