I feel as though the writers have consciously made these characters very confusing. There are facets of both Rudra and Paro that I relate to, but not either of them wholly. However, the way they are written reflects how we think in reality. In real life, do we see everything as black and white? Aren't there times/situations where we are just perplexed, not knowing how to feel about them? It's the same thing here. Neither character is supposed to be relatable or easy to understand. They both do things that we, in the real world, would never fathom doing. Yet they do them anyway - why? I don't have the answer, but asking the kinds of questions you are is the exactly what a story like this should elicit from us. It's not to understand or relate, but to see the journey these tortured, dysfunctional souls are embarking upon.
Paro, in my mind, has never really been relatable - from the beginning of the show. I found her to be bland in the beginning, quite frankly. What I have seen and now like is her gradual progression - she has begun going after what she wants, not what others have given her. That is great character development for someone who used a childhood-taught prejudice as her main reason for hating Rudra and BSD, to a girl who saved herself and then went after the man she loves. We might all disagree on her reasoning and methods, but she did them at her own conviction, right? That is more important to me, than anything else. The freedom of choice. Also, I really believe (yes, I still have faith in the CVs) that Paro will grow even more, to the point where she even might explode.
That's why, for the most part, I am at peace with the pace of the show and the characters. It's not ideal, but who wants ideal? I want interesting and that's what I'm getting daily from RR. Besides, it's their story, not mine, so I'm keen on seeing how it unfolds.
