I don't know how to feel about Paro.

What are supposed to feel for her? Sympathy? Hatred? Confused? Probably the third one.

It's a shame the writers did not explore or establish her side enough for us to feel anything definitive for her. On the contrary, I've been feeling very disconnected from her ever since the maha episode where she turned into a completely different person. She hasn't made much sense to me since that time. This always happens with female leads in every show. They start off with a well defined character that we all enjoy and get invested in only to have her get lost along the way...it's a damn shame.

If only they had enough guts to not go the cliched way...like the dreadful hate marriage saga (god I hate that phrase, so tacky and overused in Indian dramas). But going by the rumors, spoilers, and previews...it appears that is exactly the direction we are headed in. Even though it makes absolutely no sense. Why would Paro let this marriage happen after seeing how much Rudra loathes her? She was portrayed as a compassionate person from the start. Why is she suddenly oblivious to the amount of pain she herself is causing him? She sees it clearly and yet she is sticking around. This is not Paro. So I don't know how much impact a hate marriage would have right now. If Rudra is harsh with her, it will fall flat...because when I don't even feel sorry for her, why would him hurting her affect me? If they share intimate moments, it will feel empty because there is too much animosity and uncertainty surrounding their very confusing relationship.

I would really love for the makers to prove me wrong, throw in a twist and not have them get married. Instead of a nonsensical marriage, have Paro find a way to clear Rudra's name first. Then prove to him that she is innocent without a shadow of a doubt. Then step away, stop forcing her feelings onto him, let him come to that realization on his own. Only then will she start making sense to me again.

Edit: I made this post before even seeing today's episode...but after seeing the reaction, I think I will skip it. It sounds dreadful, exactly the opposite of what I wanted to see. I just have to accept that they won't let Paro have a voice. Meh.

Agree - hope they show Paro as waking up to the disaster she has created, pull away from the wedding, clarify with the BSD and go home to mamisa. Based on the precap it shows Rudra pulling a now reluctant Paro around the fire - so the marriage seems to be going through :(

Its okay. Several epis have been dedicated to Paro. It was time to give prominence to Rudra today. Phir kya hua ? Story cannot be based solely on one or two characters.

Good twist to the story, Ashish was AWESOME.

Paro's expressions were good as well.

I am looking forward to the marriage 😛

Hey Priyanka. Good to see you:) I love Paro and I think her love is more of that divine love where she sees nothing except Rudra. She's so adamant to make him believe how innocent and pure her love is that she doesn't realize the amount of harm she's causing him. I love her but it's hard to relate to her. More so because I'm a mere human, extremely flawed and grey unlike Paro who's totally white. Her actions do make sense to me (Thanks to MKM's posts😆) but I really hope after today's incident she realizes the mess she has caused. I am hoping this will be her realization of the real world and real Rudra. It's obvious marriage will go through but I'm sincerely hoping she gives Rudra some space. I would love it if she stays away from him and wouldn't interfere much in his life. That's how he will realize her importance, his own feelings. Pushing herself down his throat won't help at all. If anything, he will feel suffocated around her. This much needed break will give her sometime and space to realize her own feelings clearly as well.

As they say, if you love someone, set them free. If they come back, they are yours. If not, then they were never yours in first place.

Marriage is happening - fact. What we can hope is for Paro to see the reality - rather rudely but absolute necessary at this point. Her earnestness has made her insulated, she is no longer cognizant of how she is driving Rudra away from her. I agree with you, I can no longer relate to this Paro.. last time I could understand her was when she went with Thakur after landing a blow on Rudra. Even in such a state of absolute hatred... she was tearful, regretful of her actions - from that to what happened in ME and after that😕

U just spoke my mind,, Right now, Paro has reached that point where one cant evn feel any kind emotion for her,, Her character is loosely written,,, and now the CVs are just resorting to mold her as the story progresses... These days either she gives speeches, or behaves like someone who is love struck,, or heaves, or gives a frowning look,,😕 and i cant stop myself from wondering tht Sanaya, you deserve so much better,,,

In yesterday's epi and evn tht proposal epi, i couldnt take my eyes off Ashish evn though he had minimal dialogues ,,reason ,, Rudra's pain and inner turmoil is so well portrayed that one can immediately feel it and sympathize with him,, it is sadly lacking in the case of Paro,, yesterday she was JUST crying , frowning, heaving and pleading thts it,, not once did she make any attempt to back off and give Rudra his space,, does she evn understands him,, is love really like this,,, to impose yourself forcefully and then live in a delusion,, Y the hell was she wearing tht Red saree,,, and what did she GET in return,,, a cliched hate marriage,, with she obliging,,😕

👏 Awesome post , agree with u on all points, feel so sad for sanaya in yesterday's epi , writers didn't gave her a single strong dialogue , it's look like one man show

I am a huge fan of sanay's Irani since ipkknd , and cuz of her I am watching Hindi shows , I will always watch RR cuz of her , according to me she is doing a fab job as PARO Iam just made at cvs , they have to give her some screen space , some strong dialogues , at least some good direction , just like ML

In my opinion, from the starting there were loopholes in Paro's character.. itz very difficult for me to connect with her all through this RR journey... thumbs down for CVs :(

Well i do not feel anything for Paro's character after the mahaepi...
I have said it a thousand times that i cant relate to her... No humans can relate to a totally white character like Parvati ... She sometimes thinks that she is godess parvati herself 😆
I am actually happy if paro suffers after this cause she asked for it and i hope after this hate marriage she gets a reality check and stop living in dilusional world

You completely missed the point of my post. This is not about how many episodes are dedicated to who, which character is given more prominence, etc. I don't care if they showed Paro for 5 minutes today as long as she stayed true to her character, showed a glimpse of the compassionate girl we have seen from the start, made sense to me again...but she didn't. You don't have to tell me about the acting, it is the one area of this show I have no complaints about. But please separate actors from characters. I am talking about keeping characters true to themselves and not ruining them for the sake of the story...even one as cliched as the hate marriage.
