What I think...Paro from childhood has been an ardent devotee of Shiva. She feels and believes that whatever happens in her life, be it good or bad is work of her bolenath. She had even prayed that she wants a husband whose name is similar to his. Paro went to the temple and asked bolenath to show her the way to get forgiveness from Rudra. The priest told her the perfect story of Shiv-Parvathi where all the parallels matched Rudra and Paro. Rudra was the angry Shiv & she was the Parvati who had mistaken Shiv. And finally the answer to her prayers came when the priest said Parvati had to go through a hard penance but in the end Shiva forgives her. She held on to this and "like Parvati" would do anything to earn Shiv's forgiveness. Her tolerating his anger, his abuse and doing all this standing on one leg is I feel her belief to her resemblance to Parvati's ordeals. She is not Rudra's Paro...she is still like the devotee whose mind links to her protector, her soulmate but her heart is not still beating for him. She wouldn't do anything to aggravate Rudra's anger because she feels she understands him.
Has Shiv ever called Parvati characterless, Never but Rudra is not Shiv. He is a mere human who has gone through betrayals which have steeled his heart forever. So for him Paro can be characterless or besharam or whatever because he doesn't trust beautiful woman. But why doesn't Paro react to any of this ? Because she is not a woman in love with this man. She is his devotee in earnest pursuit of forgiveness. And on top of it her heart is so pure that she sees only her mistake, his forgiveness and her destined to heal him by being his soulmate.
The equations have to change. Paro has to become the woman, the wife and start seeing Rudra as her husband rather than her saviour. She has to raise herself above her beliefs and faith and start seeing him as a man whom she loves passionately. That is the day Paro will become Rudra ki Paro. Until then you can just see her standing afar, she is surreal to us 😉
But bechara Rudra, is a mortal like us who displays anger, frustration and weaknesses. He needs a bit of craziness which only Paro baisa can give to get out of his dark gloomy life. The question many have is isn't he like pressurised into this relationship by Paro, yeah sort of. But a Menaka was needed to break the severe penance of Vishwamitra, a Parvati was needed to get Shiv shed his life of a saint and a Paro is needed to bring the colours back to Rudra's life.
