OK guys here is another weekend post from me...

We at IF...spend countless number of hours...talking about what we liked, what we didn't like...the tracks and so on...Many times relating it to TRP...now and in the future...

Although, all that discussion is from the perspective of someone already watching RR...

What RR needs is new viewers to get hooked go the show...which is a different problem to solve than to keep the current viewers happy...(Not counting the attrition, because I have a feeling that is not an issue)...In order for the change in tracks to make any impact...people have to watch it first ...

Here are some of the reasons I have heard people are not watching RR...

We tried watching it on really high recommendation from a friend...but just couldn't understand the story...
From a non Hindi speaking person...I don't get the name...what does Rangrasia mean?
What's the plot? ( That should hook me)
The show seems too heavy, and sad...I want something entertaining...

I think the story is at a point...where it can be explained well easily to someone who didn't watch yet...

So now is the time to make an effort to get the new viewers by...

Having weekend Marathon run of the last few episodes...explaining the story in the background
Have promos with a clear message about what the show is about...(keeping in mind why a new viewer would want to watch it...your "value proposition" in the marketing lingo)
Having a nice montage...focusing on characters and emotions...not horrible situations...and please listen to what I have been telling you form last 10 weeks or so...DROP THE IMAGE OF A GUN TROTTING RUDRA and PARO SITTING WITH HER HANDS TIED at the BACK IN the MONTAGE!
Having fun moments laced in...

And finally having the characters connect with the women folks who make the TRP...!

People always get bored of watching the same old in the existing stuff and they want to try something new...if only that something new is interesting enough and catches their eye...or what they can easily understand and follow...

Of course the recent increase in TRP...shows an organic growth...but I think the show is much better than where it is TRP wise...because of the reasons stated above...that should be addressed ...

The show is too depressing they need to balance things and add lights to the show as well, that's why I refused to follow two Indian shows at once I can't handle so much tense.

When a food is too spicy do we keep eating it? The same case with a show as well. I'm not talking about romance here of course I don't want muchy romance I for 1 am not a fan. But bringing some lights to the show atleast would help!

I think you have made some great points particularly regarding the opening montage. Hopefully Mr. tequila shots will change it soon because she's not a captive anymore and frankly it's tasteless.

I think the show is too dark and needs levity. SI has great comic. Let her use it. Having said that I think changes will come now that its been sorted out who gets what show.

Well... that's one way to look at it...but that's what the advertisers have to indicate how many eyeballs are watching their ads when they are paying the channels to run their ad during a show...

It is important...If they should make a choice on where spend the money or what rate they should pay the channel...it counts...IT IMPACTS REAL MONEY BABY...!!!

well if you are looking at real money then what matters is which production house is producing it and nautanki is a good one 😆

ever wondered why all crappy shows of ekta are always hit 😉

The show isn't perfect. No show is. But the TRP system is really unfair. Many viewers are from outside India, why don't they get counted? Going by the online viewers, most people don't live in the country so how unfair to judge by the TRP system! But I agree with you on the story. I think it really needs light moments too. I know we were promised a dark intense show but a successful show is one that has a bit of everything. Maybe bring in a character that is only for comic-relief. I thought it would be Sunheri but guess not. Also promotion needs to happen. RR is rarely promoted and the promos that are given, are just extended precaps. So even that doesn't help.

Hopefully RR picks up soon but they need to work on these things.

I feel the trp system counting should change.. Just calculating prime time trp is not an accurate measure because at prime time families are viewing so there is more chance of shifting channels due to adverts...

These days people know ads are for 60 seconds.. So they shift to news songs or some other channel..

I know my parents watch 2 programs at 1 time slot they used to watch BV and some bong show at 8 pm...

I was so angry when I went visiting as I could not grab the remote for ipk😆

It is better to take an average trp of all the reruns.. The trps may show... But why not take the best 2 or 3 .

I know my late mom inlaw used to watch colors and starplus and zee because some at night some in the afternoon.. ...

I feel they should change the ads make it more paro centric... I think the cvs are on the way... I guess the new ads will show paro taking a little more initiative ..

They should show major being busy in defense real red issues some terrorist , some drug smuggling..paro handling KCM...and both if them having the love hate issues..

For that they need to get them married..

More than KCM... I believe Laila can create more havoc...

I suspect a different indicator is used to gauge the overseas markets...Thats why Colors head said...he is satisfied that RR is doing well overseas despite somewhat disappointing TRP numbers...

TRP numbers are still very important...because the domestic market is probably the highest revenue generator for any show...

I think it would be unfair for a reviewer to write a review on a show on how good or how bad a show is based on their TRPs as the recent Tellybuzz articles seems to have done...(Seriously, that person...should not be writing reviews if all they did was to rank things based on TRPs...and found faults in things where there were none...) .but it is not unfair to. judge ad revenues for the domestic market based on that...
