agree with you. In my opinion the show definiety needs to show more lighter side too. for me kaki cum masi is a torture and its not because she is in the negative role but her dialogues are getting more irritating. I admit that it was ok at first but now she is given more importance than main leads that gets so annoying that i am forced to change channels. Everything should be in moderation.

I like protective Rudra alot but with the new mu he is disappearing too which is making me so mad that I am thinking of skipping epi. Rudra is an angry man which we all know but there was a tenderness when it comes to paro even when he is shouting at her which is so beautiful to watch. The connection they share is also so lovely to watch. But with the all the negative promos non regular viewers are not able to know all this and prefer to watch something else.

We need more promos which are captivating and not 2 sec precap which makes you scratch your head in irritation.

The language they use is sometimes hard to understand even for hindi speaking people.

Good post. First up I do think the problem with Dish TV is affecting thier numbers(remember Dish is owned by Zee network) - I recently updated to a HD settop box and found that Colors HD again is going to be a -la carte from 01st April and normal Colors is not available in the GEC bouquet that they are offering as a base pack. Not everyone will take the effort to call up Dish TV to include Colors in the package(even if it is free) and so Colors needs to do something about this.
I liked the story as it was initially - unfortunately I think the Cvs lost track at the stage of taking PAro hostage(possibly the rift between the producers affected the story telling) . They have corrected it now.

Hopefully there will be an upward swing- good news is that the show has built up a loyal base even in the most competitive slot- It can only go up now

Yes. I admit that they are using much simpler language than what they used in the initial episodes and we the regular ones can understand it but for a non regular viewer it can definitely feel hard to understand and most of them don't have the patience to give it a chance.

Don't throw chappals pls .. I simply adore Sanny n Ashish is amazing as an actor n rest of the star cast is simply amazing .. N I only watch this serial in Hindi ..

I think they should stop this TRP crap altogether ..
Rudra should stop crying at the drop of hat . Seriously for me tht is absolutely no no .. I mean not the way they r showing him .. The guy is too depressing when they show him crying .. N it does not suit his character .. Ashish needs to restrain himself in these scenes ..
They should give more role to Summer.. I totally loved his character during Ashish's absence ..
They need to spice it up more some how ..
Paro .. Sanny needs to change her expressions .. I know her character is like tht but she is over exposed in last three years . over exposed as in she is She is giving back to back shows n her facial expressions are repetitive .. She defo has tht potential in her to do better ..

Kakisa is perfect I think she will appeal to the older audience ..

N give some fresh songs in the future When there r PaRud scenes ..

N I want more scenes of theirs .. May be some fight scenes not the actual hand to hand combat but verbal .. Uff list is lengthy ..

But the show is unique so I think it will gain popularity slowly n steadily ..

Much needed post Sush. Thanks for your effort and hope the makers are reading this. I really wish RR rakes the much needed trps for the shows survival, i soo looove RR and the leads.
With the show now in ST gloves i thought there would be enough changes in the marketing of the show, but lately i see that the show is the least promoted, i didn't see a glimpse of RR on saturday and sunday, not even the promo. Since last three or four episodes i don't even see the precap for the reruns, is it some kind of cost cutting effort by the makers.

Bang on Sush... loved your post!
I love the show and tried selling it to my fam and relatives. Pat came their reply ... too depressing to watch. Tried explaining but no takers. Let's hope with the change in track there is a change.

However, as a regular I have a lot of grouse in the sudden and hurried way the change was made compromising on the characterization of the lead. I suppose they had no option.

Anyways, change in track, light moments and plenty of promos should do the trick along with the montage. Paro is no more bound and the present one is not in sync with the latest story line.

I think this show needs a dose of positivity. Lets take the existing track as an example, after Paro's press conference ideally i would show some blooming love between the couple. Rudra had to protect her as her life is under threat. So throw in lots of eye-sax scenes. But instead they jumped right into another MU and the mother son plot. Why?
If you want to make a dark intense story in a daily format, then you will need to throw in some lighter moments. If not just focus on the story and end it within a stipulate time without dragging it for years.

I'd still say of all the crap thats being served on TV currently, RR trumps every other show by a big margin, except for JA & YHM. I tried watching a couple of shows my mom used to watch when she was here. Even after 8 months I knew exactly what had happened. After watching the mysterious case of sleeping pill induced marriage in one show and then the curious case of a lehenga chor in another so called 'pseudo progressive show, I gave up.

Brilliant topic, Sush and very thought-provoking!!

My two bits for what they are worth on why the TRPs are low:
First, seems to me that the 'love-hate' theme of the show is in itself a niche one. And as long as the show is predominantly going to revolve around love-hate, it is going to command restricted viewership and not appeal to all family.
Second, that rival shows at 9.30 have solid TRPs and are family shows where the romance angle has been successfully diluted and superseded by family concerns. (e.g. QH's focus on the family rather than on Asad Zoya romance has paid off, while JLZ which is purely a romance is going off air in June)
Third, that Colors already has a successful primetime show (BV) set in Rajasthan.
Fourth, that the show before it is also a young romance, although a typical saas-bahu one.
Fifth, whether the intense romance and violence in this show puts off some viewer segments.
I wonder also how different the audience profile of this show is. That is, is it largely watched by younger women? If more men watch this show than they do others? If there are more upmarket SEC A, B audiences watching this show than say BV, MB, QH.
In all, it's def looking like a niche show to me and not really a mainstream one so far. And that is not a bad thing. Because if a show is tightly targeted, then the advertisers will come.
As far as QH goes, their big reveal will be done with this week. After that what? Hopefully, RR can mop up.😊
