Lets Talk about whats REALLY important!

Its not the angst, not the dard, not the star crossed lovers--I dont care if they will marry or not--I want to know where in that Mela I can get that gold/maroon ghagra!! The really important thing???? Its the the clothes, Baisa! The wedding outfits, the ghagras, cholis, chest revealing kurtas, Ranawat men's sexy silver earring/bluetooth things---oh my!

I want to know who the stylist and costume designer for this show is. I think this person should win every award there is in telly-land for sheer genius. He/She is utterly talented, because when you think about the budget, she has to improvise hugely with very low level materials to come up with these outfits--while staying consistent with each character's "look."

Sanaya should NOT be complaining, man! She just needs to go on You-Tube to see what untalented hacks like her previous show's costume designers can do to even a ridiculously gorgeous woman like her! Just recall the skintight suits KKG wore!! Nothing against the look, but come on, other than color, they were ditto copies of each other, with even the zari work being the same from suit to suit. There is character consistency and then there is laziness in design! Ek mota roll zari-lace thi, kuch colorful balls thi, woh sub suit pein set kiya, dental-floss wide dupatta daal diya, aur "style" khatam!

Anyone remember KKG's utterly HORRIBLE post-wedding anarkalis with the cheap velvet bands that made someone like Sanaya look ordinary? How about the yawn inducing green/pink wedding jodha for our KKGSR in the most anticipated wedding of TV's biggest serial (at the time)? How about ASR's EXACT same Hermes shoes for literally 1.5 years? And they had a budget for costumes that was for sure bigger than RR's--IPK was a Star Plus show, a bigger production house. They just had a completely ordinary, tailor-master running the clothing dept.

In contrast every single ordinary ghagra that every character has worn on RR has been unique. EVERY time, its something new. The thought into each patchwork-choli, the color combinations, embroidery, mixed material work like mirrors and beads and gold wirework--each piece has been drool-worthy. You have not seen these combinations before--and they work because of the artistic eye using them. And they are not expensive, but stylish. If this is now Rajasthani village girls are dressing nowadays, I am moving to Birpur, even if the Thakur sends me Sarhad Par. At least I'll die well dressed.

What an eye for color too, guys! Mixing bhi kitna stylish! Even for the other characters---even Kakisa's more maternal ones, or Maithili's clothing-- "daily" outfits have been inspired designs, staying true to the character "look" while making each new costume change hatke, different.

They have someone with incredible talent coming up with every look and then accessorizing just perfectly. Its not about money--its about talent. And of course, each wedding outfit--my drooling is no longer limited to Moochiya, baisas! I look forward to the clothing now, just as much.

PS: Yes. I am ignoring the green dupatta Ashish wore in the tea-cup scene. I choose to believe Ashish forgot the costume designer's birthday, so she punished him by stealing my old bandhini dupatta from 2002 and wrapping it on him with a few safety pins and no buttons. He has apologized to her, and bought her a cake, so he is back to being dressed like a king.

Bol diya.

Now aap ki baari--what has been your favorite look till date?

Ok now someone's talking!

My favorite look for Paro baisa has to be the simple white laced-sleeve choli that had at least three tie back doris and the white ghagra with large motifs embroidered at the bottom of the white ghagra.

Ok next is the sunset orange and peach one.

Then comes the purple and the pink one she wore during Jhanki.

Ok then is ofcourse the beautiful sea green ensemble worn during sangeet.

Aila I love everything.

Love all of Rudra's silk kurtas which either have buttons or button-holes. Never ever both😉.Now that to me is dabaang estyle!

Now I love love Sumer's jacket which he will wear for the shaadi of the year. Its hatke and a LFW runway piece!

You know I cannot pick one, I agree even Thakur's costumes are good, Sumer has been dressed as per his character, as for Sanaya she is such a beautiful girl I think that makes the designers life easier as all colors look good on her. Imagine her in velvet in her previous show she was dressed worse than the other characters but she still pulled it off

My favorite look was ganpati pooja.paro was looking gorgeous and after the pooja, she sat on the ledge and sang Heli Bhaari...
She looked like an Angel...
Love Kakisa's outfit too.the color combinations in this show is amazing...I liked Sumer's multicolored drapes wala Kurta...
Rudra. Is just OK..it liked his black, white and Off colored Kurtas but bandini Kurtas were just🤢

I loved paro's wedding outfit, the present one not the red one..but absolutely did not like the jewelry...🤢🤢🤢
For IPKKND,the less said about the costume the better,Anjali,Mami had the best outfits, compared to Khushi.A&M did not recycle the costumes at all,but Khushi,it was like washing the costume every night so she could wear it the next day🤢🤢

lol will read n then comment! :p

EDIT

LMAO as much as love ur post n would love to let u live in blissful ignorance, i have to break something very shocking to u! 😆

IT IS THE SAME DESIGNER!! 🤣 n her name is Shivani! She designed Khushi's tents as well as RR's gorgeous costumes both! 😆

Anyway totally totally agree with u on the amazing costumes!! they r utterly gorgeous and I am left starring one after the other! be it Paro's or Rudra's or Maitili's or Thakur's or Kakisa's!

(I am assuming that Sumer forgot the b'day of the designer n never made up with her so he is always getting stuff like that has been taken off the back of a safa cover!😆)

I will update with some of my fav outfits of hers! :)

My all time fav - none special occasion outfit is this

And just look at that work on the choli!

And my fav occasion wear would be this

Haldi outfit is also the best i have ever seen on TV for this occasion!

I can go on and on!! And I am seriously drooling over Rudra's and Paro's wedding outfits today!!

I also love the set designer. I think she deserves credit too for such a beautiful authentic old-world charm look of the show.

Those pink columns of the haveli, those little colorful bottles placed in the niches of the wall. The most beautiful Rajasthani paintings.

Even the flooring...have you guys noticed during the haldi...the intricate design woven in the tiles of the floor.

Those very dark brown tall teak wood doors...

And yeah my favorite Rudra's rustic bed set and room furniture😉
