Ok, so I quote A Few Good Men all over the place. But it has a lot of feelz, so bear with me.
Today's question is-- Is Rudra Pratap Ranawat an honourable man?

I say that it's rather questionable.

Would an honourable man-- an honourable officer-- hold a defenseless young woman captive despite having NO concrete evidence against her?

Would an honourable man consider his prejudice against beautiful women adequate evidence to stand as judge, jury, and executioner over someone?

Would an honourable man continue threatening said witness with all manner of intimidation-- psychological, physical, and sexual and outright blackmail, in order to make her 'confess'-- to the point where she's ready to confess to whatever he was asking of her, irrespective of whether she did it or not?

Would an honourable man do all manner of dishonourable deeds to retain his uniform-- because it is a badge of honour?

I don't want to know about what happens in the asli duniya, on real borders. I want to know about what YOU think.

Is Rudra 'honourable'? And if he is not, how important is 'honour'? Is it overrated? Is it paramount? Or is it something that all of us pay lip service to, while secretly disregarding?

Hi this is fiction and I feel here Rudra has kept paro only for one reason and that is his attraction / obsession and love for her.
He fell in love with her in the first encounter and he is unable to let her go. So is working without any senses.

Marriage will happen and I feel that Rudra will not be thrown out of BSD but will be suspended.

As without BSD there is no story😊

agree with you
the show makers have no idea what they are showing
this is a officer of Indian army , and they are showing it as his method of doing his duty
protection of civilians is of prime importance

i find nothing romantic about this track

Arrey-re! Again injecting logic?
See. Morality is a skewed concept. Everyone has their own definitions. But the problem is when someone expects sacrifice to be morality. That is ALL that matters when it comes to the "desh ki shaan" logic.

Shaheed is overrated because the lives that are lost over war are lost forever.
This is exactly what those war poets used to say.

As for Paro: I personally don't see tyranny as "honour". I see it as power. All that Ruddy is doing is plain power politics.

Sadly, power is directly linked with masculinity. And Ruddy has to be the macho character.

What Maithili said in today's episode: that Men beat, real men protect. That was a facepalm moment. Should I be thankful that I don't get slapped? Or that I "feel" protected? I dunno... it is deppressing.

Now before people go dekhna-hai-toh-dekho on me, I'll just leave you with this: really, Ruddy isn't honourable. On screen- he's the equivalent of poetic justice in the daily soap world.

You see I can't judge that because what honour means to me may not mean to another person. I'm jus a regular working citizen, however for someone working for their country, honour and their badge might mean everything to them, but on the other if I was to have that same badge with my mentality it wouldn't mean much. I would never understand why people to so much for their badge or honour as I don't see from their view point.

This isn't making sense is it 😆

Friends, IF-ians, RR-ians, lend me your ears
Semanti comes to bury Rudra, not to praise him
The BDS(M) that men do lives after them,
The rasiya-ve is oft interred with their bones
So let it be with Rudra.
The noble Paro had told you
Rudra was cruel and wrong
If it were so, it was a grievous fault.
And grievously had Rudra answered it.
Here, underwearing Paro and the rest.
For Paro, is an honorable woman.
And so are they all.
All (Laila tsk tsk) honorable women.

IMO, Rudra : Honorable :: Mohini : Polite 😆

serious kostins sem
Honor is subjective, i guess.

A village would order gang rape of a woman to save its honor

A panchayat would hang lovers of different castes for the sake of its honor

A jury will stone to death an adulterous woman in the name of honor.

A police force would violate human rights to get confession out of terrorists in honor of their country

Rudra thinks he is doing a service for his nation and his means justify the end.

Btw, where is the BSD handbook on How To Treat Your Witness? How about some thinking on How to Conduct a Raid on A Barath?
Or How To Offer Housing to Your Witness?

consumashuns ki love ishtory mein in kostins ki koi jagah nahi
