Very true.. A great re-union indeed.. a nice post Napster..

Like some, I too was not too keen to see SI's previous serial which she did before this .. thus I gave it a skip. The topic and the whole set up was not my cup of tea..

After watching the promos of this show I was quite intrigued.. this show had that raw appeal which drew me to it ... Having said that, I am not a connoisseur on serials as I have seen only 1 serial and that too I abandoned it when it took a turn to the worst.

What I most love about this serial is there is justification for the hate between the two lead characters.. whereas in the other, the violence, the volley of abuses hurled that the female character was uncalled for.. sometimes it was not even clear why the hero treated her with such contempt.. perhaps it was to hide his true feelings for her but after a time it became monotonous..

this serial has great potential of becoming a super hit if the PH and writers stick to their original script and don't bow down to pressure.. I am simply loving the chemistry between the two leads both on and off screen.. I like the fact that the female lead is standing her ground against injustice and has the temerity to talk back to his face all the while maintaining her composture..

Every actor is doing their part well.. from Chaachi to her husband to Dilsher.. they are enacting their roles perfectly... every character is adding colour to the Rang Rasiyas 😆

Ciao

Hi Napster, A nice trip down memory line. I joined the other forum much later on. A big part of the reason for my affiliation with the show was because of the fiction work that used the characters as an inspiration and the very very humorous posts of a number of members, most of whom I became friends with. The forum sort of drew me in along with sanaya's portrayal of her previous character.

Whereas with RR I have been hooked on from the first episode. It was sanaya i started following RR, but ashish has been such a revealation. I wont call it as the bets thing sliced bread, it still has a long way to go, but so far most of the indications have been positive. Most importantly I'm so glad to see some of the great minds behind making the previous forum entertaining for me are now here. Long may it continue.

It's definitely nice to see familiar names and read certain posts. I was mainly on the IPK forum to read all the wonderful fan fictions - lost interest in that serial soon after hate marriage but watched for Sanaya.
as for RR, I'm going to copy what I wrote in another post-

Love Love Rang Rasiya. It is a great combination of a taut sensible storyline, wonderful actors (and by that I mean everyone, not just Sanaya and Ashish), great director and crew, costumes, sets etc. Hope it continues this way and does not fall prey to trp increasing shenanigans. It has fast become my favorite serial ever in the post DD days.
That's saying a lot because matching up to Buniyaad, Malgudi Days, Darpan, Idhar Udhar et al is very tough - especially since they were not dailies. :-) But so far RR is holding it's own.

Love this! I'm not one who always commented on IF even during the IPKKND days but would be on it literally 24/7 and now it's the same for RR after a very long time!

IPK brought me to IF. But it really was IF which kept me hooked to IPK till the end.
It was my first 'forum' experience, and the hilarity, the snark, the fights, the sentiments associated with a daily soap...all of it was so new. There were many memorable moments on the forum, and even more memorable members who could be funny, articulate and very interesting. If I hadn't seen it for myself, I would have been hard pressed to believe that such diversity could be brought together by one desi TV show.
I haven't been a very vocal member. Probably never will be. TV shows will come and go. But the words, the people, the overall experience, all of it has been made special by members whom I've read and admired for a long time. And it feels good to hear from them again, so kudos to RR for that, which seems to have somehow brought together this motley, crazy bunch of people together again. Hope the good times are here to stay.
Thank you for making this post Napster. Brought back some good memories. :-)

Great post. After IPK's closure, I'm finally getting happiness due to RR. It may not be the same magic but magical nonetheless. I'm so happy to see ardent IPKdians on this forum. It's like the reunion of our dear forum. I remember being part of it in its initial months and then leaving IF to only return as a Sanaya post persuaded me. Since then, I've never left IF but the forum has never been the same. I hope RR forum gives us peace and happiness just like the initial months of IPK.

Hey Smita! you may not know me but I was a fan of your One Shots. Hope to see you in action with your super sweet and enjoyable OSs.

I was a pretty silent reader in IPKKND but always enjoyed the forum. Glad to see so many congregating here:)
