I have read Othello and watched the English movie that was made. The character of Rudra is definitely inspired from Othello but not in every sense. The main essence of Rudra's character that resembles with Othello is that
Othello was a proud, confident and very courageous man and earned a high rank in his country..He was a General in the army and other than his work he knew nothing...That was the only part in which he excelled...Our Rudra has a similar work background and apart from his work, he definitely has no other interest except few Ahem Ahems with Laila😆
Secondly, Othello never realized his love for Desdemona, until the lady proposed him after listening about the turmoil and pain he has gone through his entire life, right from his childhood and then the war times..She was memserized by the valour of the brave men and fell in love with him. Thus Othello reciprocated her love, but he was insecured since Desdemona was very beautiful who could have got any handsome, loving and caring men. Othello didn't knew the ways of courting and impressing a lady.
Rudra too is the same. He is harsh and tries to prove that he is heartless. The more he inflicts pain on Paro by his words, i really feel that its not Paro whom he tries to hurt, but he actually tries to reassure himself that he is very strong and indifferent towards a woman, whether be her a very beautiful woman. So when he will realize that she is innocent, he will accept the feelings he has for her, may be fall in love, but he will still be insecured as his love will be shadowed by roughness from outside. Thus any other man near Paro will definitely give him a complex. M so happy for this reason that Varun sa died, since he knew how to woo a woman, and Rudra would have cried like a puppy in seeing them in close proximity😆
Lastly to answer your question in a clear way, I think CV's will not kill Paro but may be show that Rudra throws her out of his life thinking that she cheated on him. This can happen only if they want to take Rangrasiya in the Shakespearean play's direction. But then the CV's clearly mentioned that they don't want to make Othello but only want to recreate a character like Othello in Rudra...So we can definitely relax😃
Sorry to bore you with such a long analysis but I cold not stop myself as it was on Othello, one of my fav Plays by Shakespeare.😳
