Oh Fari, go watch the episode. He gives this creepy smile when he poins the gun at Paro's head. He was really really good. A 180 degree turn in his mannerisms.

Although many were disappointed that he turned negative in the end, I felt he was desperate to get away from the unrelenting officer who was writing death everywhere with his gun. Holding a woman, who belongs to his country would stop the man from taking his life, he must have thought and took that only option in hand of holding paro a captive. But alas! That was Rudra. 'Thaari marji' do whatever you want to do. I will do anything to protect my country's name, was his only motto. And Varunsa was gone leaving the audience confused.

Vishal Gandhi, we will miss you.

It is possible that he was desperate. Interesting angle.

I can't wait to watch the episode now.

Great post. I also wished Varun remained good, much like Paro, I was falling for his character to only realize that he was a bad guy. Vishal was excellent as Varun. He made us like his pairing with Paro and even wish for him to live for the sake of her.

Totally agree Fari!
But i am still half in half out abt his guilt.. it looked like a desperate man who saw his whole family gunned down making a last ditch attempt..

cz to his credit he didn't even look at the money, he only wanted to take his wife with him.. and just maybe called in a bluff to see if taking a woman in Rudra's country would allow him to cross to safety with her...

damn anyway Vishal was amazing!! truly applaud all he played!
He made a place for Varun in my heart n today i was grieving for losing out that dream.., but even now clutching at straws.. cz i feel he just cannot be all bad! the tenderness with which he cared to Paro much earlier n was oblivious to gun fire or anything..
its kudos to Vishal that this confusion is also here!!

He was damn awesome!!

I never liked him before this! But as Varun sa! he was amazing!! wish him all the best!

Lovely post Fari!!

Nice post. Vishal was very convincing as Varun and scenes such as the terrace one were beautifully enacted. Glad the CVs took good actor as this was an important cameo.

Vishal Gandhi was very good 👏
He had a cameo role but his role is extremely important for the future. He is the catalyst in this show😲

He did a great job in the cameo 👏 He did not just fool Paro but also fooled us with his good boy and perfect life partner act
Now I m thankful that in a previous poll about the perfect life partner I didnot choose Varun as I thought there was something fishy about him 😆...instead I choose our very own hero Rudra😳

Totally agree.
I don't know this actor (since I only watch Sanaya shows) and his portrayal of Varun was very good. I am happy they picked a good acotr to play the role.
I was skeptical of the character from the time he drew the sword upon arriving, to his smooth poetry, was touched by the terrace meeting with Parvati but when he said "...imli with salt on the side" I was sure he was Vermin Varun. When he went from "let me cross with my wife to I am using this girl..." I was happy with the bullet to his head.

Actor gets a thumbs up. Character thumbs down.
