A very nice and needed post and you have laid down the points very well. Thank you.

About Paro, I want to add, she is being portrayed as a simple and rather ordinary shy girl, except her beauty, because when this innocence is lost it will have a great impact. Secondly, there were two instances when I felt she showed glimpses of other shades in her personality- when she asked Laila about the third kind of men, which even left Laila surprised and when she refused to leave without meeting Bindi after her marriage, forcing Thakur to intervene and expedite the proceedings, so she has a voice but never maybe realized it or had the need to use it. So far Paro had a relatively sheltered life and she is not very educated, with limited means and she has not seen the world outside her village added to that she has a very shy and pliant personality, not bubbly like Bindi. The events we will see over next few episodes will be transformative for her. Sanaya is playing the role with the right amount of subtlety and sensitivity. She has brought so much innocence and naivety to Paro that she has already touched my heart with the temple scene, and Friday she nailed it.

Nice post!

The violence never bothered me, I have seen a lot worse. Especially being a South Indian, our films have so much violence that my eyes are used to gore lol. Also 1.5 is a good starting TRP and I agree with what you wrote about Paro's character as well.

The one thing I can't agree with completely is how openminded the forum is. I was once attacked when I was constructively criticizing something, and I know that I wasn't being rude at all. I don't see the need to jump at members as long as they are well behaved in criticizing something, but at the same time I've also seen a lot of bashing posts that are pointless and just rude.
Can someone link me to the promo where Rudra offers her water? I haven't seen it.

Much needed post. Nice of you to put all points together.
Violence part was needed to establish Rudra's character but i felt some of the slow motion action scenes a little overdone.
I liked this and I agree completely with this.
"TRPs: It baffles me to see some of the most unoriginal and boring shows topping the charts when a well-produced and innovative show (for Indian TV) like 24 starring Anil Kapoor gets very low ratings. It tells you that the TRPs are not an accurate representation of the quality of a show. More importantly, I would rather be the slow and steady that wins the race rather than starting off on a high and crashing. The real story of RR is yet to unfold. The leads have shared only one proper scene so far. They had amazing chemistry and had a lasting effect on us so I can't wait to see the dynamics of their relationship in the future. This show has SO much potential. I'm sure the audience will grow accordingly."

Agree with most points except Violence
I do not endorse it on prime time no matter what the reason is
one cannot forget a large number of family audience watch it
Including kids
For example, even if I want to, my son keeps popping into the room where I watch, out of curiosity.
So, I record and rewatch or I watch on lappy.
I admit I don't watch any serial in front of him, even Sanaya's previous shows, because I am against my son watching serials
But even if I want to watch on TV I can't due to excessive violence

And there are some people who boldly watch all this in front of their kids, forgetting the negative impact
We also cannot forget a large number of Indians do not have laptops or recording facility.
This is a huge disadvantage for a show.

Having said that coming and annoucing that they are quitting is silly
Most Indian shows have violence, which is n a subtle level
The mother-in-law plotting against the daughter-in-law
The family plotting against a woman
Murder, snide taunts---all these are also violence
So RR cannot be made the exception because it shows the most common form of violence
the silly saas bahu sagas are even worse because they are set in real world where a mother in law learns the many ways they can taunt their daughters in law o a murderer learns how to plot

On the whole Violence and sex(there has only been one Larud scene. But that too was too much for watching with family) has to be brought down

Or this show will have its limited audience, which is OK
unless RR wants the bigger audience of India

I totally agree with TRPs which has always baffled me
I still don't get how it works because dud shows get a huge audience

As for Forum, we need more open mindedness
Posts of criticism are always attacked
One cannot forget that this is also one view point and criticism also reflects another POV
We need more tolerance for such posts
However I totally hate posts which bash deliberately. That is not criticism

I so agree with you especially at the TRP and violence part.
Trp are important because if Rangrasiya continue's to get low trp it will be pulled off air(inshallah, that won't happen).

Regarding criticism of Paro's character or Sanaya's look & acting, i think these are emanating from the very high expectations from Sanaya. She is nothing less than a superstar and it is normal that people will keep looking for her flaws or amplify her limitations. These will go automatically once the show is in it's expected phase. The makers have reserved Paro for Sanaya but has definitely not planned to sell their show on Sanaya's name. They have planned for a long race and the character will be unfolded with time.

So far as violence is concerned, i don't see why people are fussing about it. The action sequences are mostly armed struggle and regular hero-villain fighting scenes .. Yes, one can say that it is not common in TV, but stories based on border life, where smuggling, arms trade and other cross-border crimes are everyday affair - is not very common in TV either. Its just new and the audience in our part of the world always hesitates to embrace new things .. but eventually does accept .

TRP is a strange thing. Now a days many people watch TV shows in internet, even in India. Now keeping such a large chunk of audience out of calculation, how can they have measure its popularity??

Anyways, I believe, all these issues will be automatically resolved with time and RR will stand out as a milestone in Indian TV.

Well said Priyanka !! 👏 👏 👏 Totally agree wid you. After 10 episode,we can see that show is going on right direction n it would be reflect on future TRP charts (5-6 week is enough for this). Undoubtedly, Sanaya's performance is 1 of the most high point of the show.
