Paro: In my opinion, Sanaya eased into the skin of her character slowly and as of Friday's performance, she nailed it! Finally there was the emotional connect to her character that everyone was looking for. Paro hasn't had a definitive arc yet...we have seen one side of her so far. This sweet, innocent and shy girl who has a past but is hopeful for her future and looking forward to her marriage. Sanaya has expressed those emotions beautifully in the Varun/Paro scenes. She hasn't gone over the top but done just enough to stay true to her character. It is a subtle character so I imagine this is how the director wants her to be portrayed.

I'm sure there are many layers to Paro that will slowly be revealed to us...we have only seen what the writers want us to see so far. We will see her expressive side once her whole life is turned upside down, when her husband is shot in front of her face and with that, her hopes and dreams will die. It looks like she will not stay quiet anymore and she will give it back to Rudra (i.e. the promo when he offers her water and she shoves it away angrily). I'm sure Sanaya will shine.

Violence: I think it is necessary to show the violence in order to establish the backstory, Rudra's character and the eventual impact it will have on Paro's life. It's not as if they are just throwing it in there for no reason. Why would they do that for a primarily female audience anyway? I've seen some say they are turned off by the violence and "done" with the show for some time now...yet they continue to watch the show and criticize it with snide comments. It is very amusing. Why feel the need to announce you are quitting the show and it is not worth your time but then keep talking about it? I guess it says something about how worthwhile your time is.

TRPs: It baffles me to see some of the most unoriginal and boring shows topping the charts when a well-produced and innovative show (for Indian TV) like 24 starring Anil Kapoor gets very low ratings. It tells you that the TRPs are not an accurate representation of the quality of a show. More importantly, I would rather be the slow and steady that wins the race rather than starting off on a high and crashing. The real story of RR is yet to unfold. The leads have shared only one proper scene so far. They had amazing chemistry and had a lasting effect on us so I can't wait to see the dynamics of their relationship in the future. This show has SO much potential. I'm sure the audience will grow accordingly.

Forum: This is one of the most engaging and well-behaved forums I have been a part of. It is unfair to say we don't accept opposing views here when there have been multiple threads with opposing views...and they don't turn into fan wars within mere seconds nor are they closed down. It's good because the more, the merrier and the debate keeps the place interesting. However, just like you have the right to express criticism, fans of the show have the right to defend that criticism.

Anyway, I'm eager to watch next week's episodes...looks very intense. Have a nice weekend everyone!

😊

Violence bit- Couldn't agree more. We always blame the TV shows to be targeted towards women, finally we have something that has a more pan appeal.

you said it all. A brilliant post .. esp TRPs are not an accurate representation of the quality of a show. Don't care about them at all. I just want to enjoy this beautiful high quality show..

So far Sanaya character is overpower everyone else in the show be it bashing/Praising etc... I would like to see more post on other characters as well as the story it's also not fair on poor Aishish who's working so hard and yet isn't getting as much attention as he desveve.

Some are saying this is Sanaya forum well it's about time many start paying attention to other character than just one, don't complain when you guys are turning into a Sanaya forumthen go around blaming others!

I am a SI fan...so I won't be neutral...I like paro's character.
But I hope paro evolves as the story progresses.
Sanaya is doing a very fine job because essence of paro is innocence which has to played by an innocent looking girl like sanaya.
So this role suits her...
Violence has been part of our tv,movies for long time now...
From movies ,shows I feel violence on screens has been going up...
It's every parent's job to watch out for such movies, shows which might affect young minds about violence .
So it's upto each parent/person to decide what their kids watch...
Adults are free to switch off tv when such scenes don't suit their taste...
But I agree that as a social responsibility it would help to show less violence on tv.
Trps...I don't live In India so I can't comment on it...If Tarak mehta isn't in top 10...I don't know what people like or want from their tv shows..
Forum...it is a very positive place ...and for other very very few people...well no comments...😊
