The actors are good ... the story telling is going at a good pace ... hope they keep this up!
Thanks for posting! 😃

@Bold: That is such an important aspect...no Cinderella-esque, cruel step-relatives here. Loved how her Mamisa counselled her and then of course, the Rudra-aaksh connection😊
Tormentor and savior, all in one?

Hi Visi 🤗

Jaya made a very good point ... while Paro has received all the love and affection from her maamisa and the entire village, including the Thakur and thakurain ... the fear and hatred for the BSD has been drilled and deepened into her psyche by the Thakur himself. That's probably why she has never gotten over it ... although the tragedy itself was gruesome and shocking enough in its brutality and suddenness, to leave a lasting impact.

Her Maamisa spoke wise words to comfort her ... but they worked only temporarily ... the fear is too deeply entrenched. The Rudraksha seemed to comfort her ... irony ... because it is Rudra who will turn her life upside down again. And then save her ...?
Interesting times ahead 😃

I loved the maamisa ... her sweeteness and gentleness echoed in the gentle Paro.

Great post Diya. The episode was very interesting. Sanaya was perfect in demonstrating the fear that Paro went through as she dreamed of being harmed by a ring of fire set by a BSD officer. Her fear and dread was very realistic. Paro was almost living in her nightmare until she woke up to realize she was safe and sound. She fears both BSD officers and fire as to her, they have caused the deaths of her parents and she believes that they maybe the reason for her death as well. This is one of the worst fear anyone could live through, the belief that someone is out there to kill you in the most brutal and savage way. She is terrified of meeting such an end yet her aunt reassures her that god will protect her and that fire will not always harm her.

I liked how she had the rudraksh mala. It seems like her people are great devotees of Lord Shiv and they believe that he will always protect them. Even Rudra seems to believe in the power of Lord Shiv. It seems that terrorists are planning to disrupt or wipe out a great portion of the BSD so that they do not have dominant power. So Rudra is appointed to take care of this mission and make sure that all inhabitants are under check. Tejawat does not seem like a sincere man, he is craving for power and dominance and he resists the BSDs who threaten his right as a sole ruler. He portrays himself like a good guy so that the civilians are loyal to him and thus, he gains the power to rule them without retaliation or resistances. He is like any other corrupted official who helps others to hide his crimes or justify it among the people concerned. He seems like a very strict and cruel person. He gives release to his convict, only to kill him after granting him freedom. I reminds me of a saying that one can forgive their enemy but not their right hand man who betrayed them behind their back. Such people shall never be forgiven, Tejawat follows this principle.

Anyways, I liked the mandir scene where Paro, her mami and friend prayed to Lord Shiv and the snake devta. Paro was very happy to hear her name selected as she must have dreamed for this day. It was sweet of Rajmata to bless her. She seems like a very sweet and kind woman unlike her devious husband who deceives his own people.

I was disappointed that Ashish was not shown properly but he looked very handsome on the bike. Sanaya looked stunning in both lehengas. I love her look in this show and she is gracefully slipping into the shoes of Paro. I also liked the performances of Tarun and Sadia.

Sidda,

Very nice post! Loved your thoughts ... esp @bold 😃

Paro's deepest fears ... BSD and fire

The village believes in Lord Shiva ... the naag ceremony at the Shiva temple, the rudraksha ... will rudraksh be anothe link between Rudra and Paro?

Loved your analysis of the landlord's character.

The entire episode came across as an introductory to the the dynamics that would pull and push both Rudra and Paro forever more! While it charted a slow pace it still held the underlying fury that forms the basis of the entire story! And very well put into words I must say!!

while there were a lot shown on the first episode, the 2nd was a bit of a slow pace.

agree with everyone that this is needed for more in depth characters introductions..
what made paro the way she is ..
the childhood turmoil has not left her.. the fear of fire ... etc etc

what strike me the most is the picturesque of the location.
particularly where tejawat resides, and the temple near the waterfront where the the pooja
is to set place.

sanaya is as usual at her best, looking very pretty with the rajasthani look.
loving all the colors that they make her wear ..

also notice that she speaks in a low tone ..

i am eagerly waiting for paro and rudra to finally meet ... it will be short of nothing but EXPLOSIVE..!

It would be better i guess to keep it little more brief(like 150 word less) so that everyone with little less time and some work can "enjoy" your post better.

You have a way with words ... 😃 thank you!!
The episode was slower paced than yesterday, and even held quite a few light hearted moments, but the underlying grimness was still very evident. I guess this week will form the introductory scenes ... the first episode was the past, individual and combined ... the second was a peep into Paro's psyche ... let's see what today brings.

Hey goguma! 😃 Yep, waiting for the Paro Rudra meet ... that promises to be explosive!

I've seen Sanaya changes her tone with her character ... this is more like the tone she used as Gunjan, when she played a very quiet, shy girl. I was shocked the first time I heard her in an offscreen segment and heard her real voice! 😆

Loved the temple and haveli scenes too! Rajasthan is a vibrant state ... the contrast between the harshness of the desert terrain and the colorful clothes was brought out beautifully. I like the slow pace ... I like the characters to be well established and fleshed out, and they seem to be doing that.
