Part 76
When Aayush had woken the next morning, he had found his mom, dozing off on the chair, her head rested on the bed, though his papa is not in sight….
Aayush wants water, but afraid, if he moves an inch, he'll disturb his mom, he just lays there and looks at his mom…After few minutes, Shaan walks in, Shaan sees that Aayush's awake, he's happy…
Shaan: Aayush…(softly, though it wakes Khanak) how are you feeling?? (seats on the bed, opposite from Khanak)
Khanak is fully awake now, Aayush tries to get up, Shaan makes him sit properly, Khanak fills the glass with water and hands him, Aayush drinks it….
Khanak: (cups his face) how are you doing??
Aayush: im fine mom!! (his voice is not clear, but this brings a huge smile on her face, she hugs him, he hugs her back)
Shaan smiles, and ruffles Aayush's hair in fond…Aayush smiles at his papa, while hugging his mom….
Aayush and Khanak broke the hug…Khanak, cups his face once again…
Aayush: mom, please waapis chalte hai na?? mujhe pata hain aap papa se naaraz hain, lekin papa bhi aapko bahut miss karte hain, papa is ready to tell sorry…hain na papa?? (looks at Shaan)
Shaan's smile has faded away, Khanak's too, but still she tries to be calm in front of her son….
Nisha walks in with the reports….
Nisha: arrey waah, aap utgaye (smiles) ok fine, guys reports says everything is fine, Aayush aaj hi ghar chal saktha hain..(declares excitedly)
Aayush: hum Mumbai jaa rahe hain??? (asks excitedly)
Shaan: no!! (looks at Khanak)
Aayush: kyun?? (looks solemnly) Khanak's silent, but she's happy that her son is doing fine…
Nisha, knows that both of them won't be able to answer him, she fears her plan might not work….so,
Nisha: umm…you are not well na Aayush, that's the reason, abhi aap mere ghar pe rahenge, I mean, with your mom…
Aayush: that's cool!!
Nisha: you bet (winks at Aayush)
Aayush, is full excited, Shaan is happy, but doesn't show-off, as he thinks that he might scare her, he doesn't want to loose her once again, who knows she might run to an another country, this thought, produces a gurgle of laughter, he controls and doesn't laugh in front of her….
Khanak is happy that she'll be taking care of her son, and he'll be there with her, the only thought which fears her, is…offcourse, the hubby!!
Aayush is discharged, they reach Nisha's house in no time, Shaan and Aayush take in the interiors, its just two bedroomed, a kitchen, a living hall, that's it…..
Nisha: so, Shaan…Im sorry, can i??
Shaan: sure..(cool)
Nisha: ok then, Shaan and Aayush in Khanak's room..(declares brightly)
Khanak is shocked, her eyes wide opened, Shaan smiles, his heart is jumping in joy, Aayush is also smiling….Khanak looks sharply at Nisha, Nisha looks confused, then realized what they were thinking..
Nisha: Khanak you can shift to my room, (Shaan's face loses the smile) if you want to stay in the same room, I don't have any problem…
Khanak: no!! (jumping) I mean, im shifting to your room…..
Aayush: Mom!! We can sleep together na?? why do you have to shift?? (asks innocently)
Khanak clears her throat, Shaan is completely enjoying…
Shaan: haan, mujhe bhi koi problem nahi hain…(shrugs)
Khanak glares at him, she's fuming, but she composes in front of Aayush…
Khanak: Aayush, (smiling) ek hi bed main teen log, uncomfortable hoga, right??
Aayush starts to think…
Shaan: no Khanak, you hardly take any place, so that won't be a problem…(once again shrugs)
Nisha giggles hearing this, Khanak glares at her, Nisha controls, Khanak is fuming very badly, she wants to fling something on him….
Aayush: no papa!! Main sandwich ho jaaonga na aapke aur mom ke beech main..(he's walking around the house)
Khanak is seriously loosing her control…Nisha, is trying very hard to control her laughter..
Shaan: mujhe laga aap, aapke mom ke paas sooge, aur main aapke mom ke paas….(looks deeply at her)
That's it, Khanak: enough!! (shrieks)
Khanak: Aayush, aap aapne papa ke paas soonge, teek hain…(Aayush nods sweetly, Khanak gives a challenging look at her hubby)
Shaan just grins, this makes her still more mad, she stamps her foot and leave from there…
Nisha, bursts into laughter, she falls on the 3-seater sofa laughing, Shaan too laughs, Aayush and Khanak have left…
Nisha: I tell you…aap log bahut cute ho!! (still laughing)
Shaan smiles at her….
Same afternoon, Nisha, is gone back to hospital, Khanak is making Aayush's special paratha, so that he can eat more, she's wearing a white T-shirt with her 3/4ths, her hair is confined under a clip, Shaan and Aayush were taking nap….
Shaan gets up, he's in his vest, he's thirsty, walks to the kitchen to take water, sees his wife engrossed in mixing atta, he leans his right hand on the door, and stares at her, she frowns at times, while mixing, he smiles looking at her….
Khanak as on cue truns towards the door, she sees Shaan standing there, she's extremely alert, she bites her lip, so that it stops trembling, her nervousness, shaking her entire system…
He walks in coolly, Khanak stops mixing the atta, Shaan corners her, she looks up at him in shock..
He wipes the atta on her cheek, she's closer to her, leans on her slowly, hoping to the last that she'll push him away, she's leaned back, his hand wounds around her and holds her, she wide opens her eyes in shock, when she had found his hand on her back, her hands are filled with atta, her one hand, is just sitting on his shoulder and other, is hung down…
She doesn't protest, he notices that, he leans forward, his eyes closed, her eyes opened, looking at him, as though she's seeing for a first time….
Aayush: Mom!! (comes out, rubbing his eyes)
Shaan closes his eyes tightly in frustration, she pushes him slightly, he opens his eyes…
Shaan: (looks at Aayush) hey champ!! (greets him, smiling)
Aayush: papa…aap kitchen main kya kar rahe ho?? (Shaan lifts him and places on the kitchen counter, Khanak is back to her atta)
Shaan: main??? Bus…aise hi… haan voh paani, paani ke liye aaya tha…
Without asking her, takes the glass and fills it with water and drinks slowly…
Shaan hopes for the best, that he gets some time with her alone, next time; he decides first he'll talk, and then…..He smiles…
