Shaan: kya hua??

Khanak shakes her head vigorously, telling no, but still she doesn't open her mouth…..

Shaan: toh come in….. (he's still holding the door, Khanak nods and enters in…)

She can hear the door shut behind, she's shocked, her eyes wide opened….

Shaan: Aayush…(Shaan coolly moves in)

Khanak is standing in the same place….

Shaan: Aayush stop playing with lights….(she can hear Aayush laughing)

Shaan: Aayush?? (searches him in the dark)

He turns back and looks at her in the dark, her eyes roving around the room, slowly, her lips curve into smile, as she knows her son very well, she bites her lower lip, to hide her huge grin, Shaan chuckles…

She looks at him with the same smile on her face, her smile remains…She steps in slowly, in the room, Shaan just looks at her, Khanak first goes near the bed, naahh…she can't hear him….

Looks over the room once again…she see a couch, she tries to peep, she can see his shoes lace, she suppresses her giggle, Khanak signals with her hand to Shaan to come forward….He joins in, she tells him to be silent, they both are closer, Shaan quietly follows her, her left hand gets hold of his right hand, Shaan is startled, but enjoys it for now….She and her ways would never change….He thinks….

Khanak and Shaan are standing at the back of Aayush…

Khanak: gotcha…(smiles brightly)

Aayush turns around startled, he sees his mom laughing, holding his papa's hand, he stands up, and watches her…

They are startled by the knock on the door, Shaan is irritated, Khanak realizes what she was doing, she looks at her hand which is holding Shaan's hand, she leaves it abruptly, she just stand there silently, Aayush switches on the lights of the room, Shaan is sad, once again they are landed on the stage 1, he walks to the door, opens it, it's the room service….

Shaan had ordered drinks, he allows the waiter in, waiter places the drinks on the table, Khanak clears her throat, her agenda, to get out of here, as soon as possible...So, without wasting anymore time…

Khanak: reports are out….

Shaan had actually forgotten the reason, why he called her, he slightly nods….

Aayush is also silent, doesn't know what to do, goes and sits on the bed silently….

Khanak hands over the reports to him, Shaan takes it from her, looks at her solemnly…..

Khanak: can we discuss, this in the morning, in the hospital?? (slowly)

Shaan: No!!

Khanak looks straight in his eyes…

Shaan: Khanak we have to start the treatment from tomorrow itself, so its better we dicuss it now…

Saying this, Shaan doesn't wait for her affirmation, Khanak sighes and finally gets into action….

She's tired, the whole day running in the hospital, skipping her lunch, then running to house, getting freshed, coming over to the hotel…but only one thing running in her mind, did she have to talk to him, about her going away from him?? But she thought, she had made it clear in the letter…Now she's doubting, whether he read it or not??

For now, she feels like running from there, she looks at him, he's not that active, as he used to be, he's busy seeing the reports, she looks over to the bed, Aayush has fallen asleep….Had she been wrong in thinking of leaving him?? That day rolls in front of her eyes, his ignorance towards her, tears clouds up in her eyes, she holds it back….

She listens to the instructions, he gives her, she has avoided looking up at him, Shaan wants to talk to her, scold her for her stupidity, he hasn't forgotten about Anjali, that's there in his list, to scold her….

Yes, he has all the right to scold her, but still, he wants to give her time, he very well knows that, if she realizes its wrong, then she would run back to him in the next moment….

He's brought back to the world, by the ringing of her phone, its Nisha, Nisha had been in the hospital when Khanak had left, Khanak had informed that, she was going to Country Inn hotel…Nisha had been suspicious, this was it, Nisha wants her answers tonight itself…

Khanak: (after cutting the call) I've to get going, it's been late…

Shaan: Wait, I'll drop you…(stands up)

Khanak: no!! (stands up too) I mean Nisha is waiting for me….

Shaan: at home right?? (hoping to buy some more time from her)

Khanak: no… she's out, she's waiting for me…..(starts to pack her stuff)

Shaan: but…(stopped by her)

Khanak: im sorry, but I have to leave…(picks her bag, looks at Aayush's sleeping form, without any second thought, she leaves from there….

Sometimes he feel like a fool, for letting her go, today also, a month before also…..He's frustrated, irritated, more furious than ever, he just have the feeling of kicking everything out of his sight….

She and Nisha are taking the roads….Khanak is looking faraway, fighting her tears, Nisha is filled with her questions..

Nisha: Khanak..i…ok….what's the realtion between Dr.Shaan and you?? I mean…maine kabhi kisi doctor ko, apne co-workers ko iss tarah hotel mein…you know what im saying, right?? Itne chup kyun ho?? Kuch toh bolo…???

Khanak: Shaan is my husband (a lone tear escapes from her eyes)

Nisha, is like what?? But the word doesn't come out of her mouth…

Khanak shares everything with her, about Aayush, her first meet with her husband, their pursuit, their marriage, their honeymoon and the fateful day….

Nisha: so he's here to get you back?? That's so good….(smiles widely)

Khanak, didn't want this question, whenever her mind would threaten with this question, she would bundle it up and throw it to the corner part of her mind….

Khanak: no…Khanak stops Nisha from asking any more questions further…

Nisha, considered herself too young to even judge, who's wrong…??? They just walk by the lanes and reaches home safely….

Next day had been busy for her, she and Nisha were summoned early, as a school bus was subjected to an accident, Khanak was available in trauma, Kalra had been out of town….

She was not able to assist Shaan, this had infuriated him much more, and he had left early….

Next day had been shocker for both Shaan and Khanak….Aayush had fallen ill, his temperature raised, his BP had lowered, and he had fallen unconscious…

Shaan brought him to the hospital, Khanak's world had come shattered, when she saw Aayush, lying in Shaan's arms, she had to put the IV in Aayush's hand, her tears flowing, her hands shivering….Even Shaan couldn't do that, they both just stood looking at the kid, who had become a part of their living being….

Nisha took over, she pierced the needle to the kid's hand, causing a pain in his mom's and papa's heart, Khanak clutched the bed, not wanting to look, the pain her son is going through….

Nisha: I guess, the fever is because of the weather changes and the food….

Shaan: I think I made a mistake…I shouldn't have brought him here….(blames himself)

Nisha: Dr.Shaan, its common, you don't have to worry so much….if you agree, then I'll have to run some more tests, you know so that there's no more complications….(looks at Khanak, Khanak, is sitting beside Aayush, patting his head)

Shaan nods, he very well knows, for that blood must be drawn, first time he regret being in this profession…

Nisha walks over to Khanak…

Nisha: Khanak..its better you both go out of the room…

Khanak looks up at Nisha, she's not ready to leave the side of Aayush…

Shaan, touches Khanak shoulders with his hands, he very well knows how she must be feeling, Shaan holds Khanak hands and brings her out of the room, both of them get seated on the chair, he has her hand held, she clutches his hand in her hands, she feels sick….They both just look at eachother….

Nisha comes out of the room, Khanak and Shaan both stand up, Nisha hands over the slip which contains medicines, Shaan leaves Khanak's hand, and runs….

Nisha: Khanak..don't worry he'll be fine….

Khanak just nods, her tears dried up….

Nisha: Khanak main ek baat kahun, can Aayush and Shaan shift to our house????

Khanak is startled with the question….

Nisha: I mean, jab Aayush teek ho jayega, tab….he needs to be cared Khanak, Shaan alone can't do that, if you're there with him, it'll be easier….Jab Aayush teek ho jayega, then they can move out…..

Khanak just stares into the space…

When Shaan returns back, Khanak is inside the room, her head rested next to Aayush, Nisha comes to Shaan…

Nisha: Dr.Shaan, I know this isn't easy for you…but I want you suggest that, you and Aayush can move to my house I mean where me and Khanak are staying….

Shaan is shocked…

Nisha: don't worry maine Khanak se baat karli hain, she has agreed…

Shaan's face slowly breaks into a smile….

Shaan: thanks…(gratified)

Nisha: (gets to back to herself) now that you'll be staying with us….i hope you both patch up…(winks and leaves the room)
