Part 91

The most important day in Raj and Nisha's life..But before that, lets just have a sneek peek into our love birds room..

Aayush: Mom! Papa! (banging the door)

Shaan gets the door, is surprised to his son all set and ready for the day, well the function was evening, Aayush was with his dada and dadi, had slept off in their room, after listening to some lame stories..Shaan is all fresh too..

Shaan: Good morning champ! (bends down and picks him up and both of them enter the room)

Aayush: papa aap kya kar rahe the?? (looks at the bed)

Both are not surprised by the sight of it..

Shaan: main?? Aapki mom ki utne ke liye wait kar raha tha..

Khanak is still asleep, well she had a reason, thanks to her hubby who had kept her awake all the night, the purpose was..we all know.. She's in her night clothes and sleeping on her belly..

Aayush: uff! (slaps his hand on his forehead) mom!!! (shrieks)

Shaan gives the task of making her awake to his son, Aayush lands on the bed, while Shaan walks over and starts combing his hair while peeking to her from the mirror..He always loved when she woke late, her face the cutest whenever she tries to fight the morning rays..He would always torment her but for now its Aayush's turn..

Aayush: (is now next to her, goes near to her ear, Shaan watches this through mirror) Mom! (shrieks near her)

Its out of her wits, she gets up strartled, Aayush laughs uncontrollably, Shaan chuckles too, she gasps for air..

Khanak: Aayush! (throws a pillow at him) (she's irritated, but not in a mood of any argument, she hugs another pillow and once again falls on the bed)

Aayush: mom! Utho! (shakes her)

Khanak: Aayush bus paanch minute..(sleep talking)

Shaan finishes his work, turns around and leans on the dressing table..

Aayush: mom aaj function hain! (shouts)

Khanak: Aayush! Chillao mat! (shrieks) tum jao, main aati hun..

Aayush: mom!

Khanak: (makes crying sound) Aayush please!

Shaan chuckles..

Shaan: aayush, chalo hum chalthe hain, tumhari mom aa jayegi..

Aayush: lekin papa..

Shaan: Aayush! (Aayush agrees disheartedly and walks out with his papa, Khanak smiles to the pillow)

But not for more, Shaan returns back alone, rush to her side, leans over her, whispers into her ear..

Shaan: sirf aadhe ghante hain tumhare paas, jaldi aana..i can't tell our folks, what is taking you so much of time..ok?! (grins at the end, while her smile is on, he kisses her on her cheek a long one and then he's gone)

Raj is missing, in all the decorations going on..while everyone wonders where he is, Shaan's phone rings constantly, Shaan juggles with his phone and Aayush..Aayush is too excited, as the home is filled, Shaan is holding on to his hand at the same time talking into phone..Aayush wants to run but Shaan is not allowing as there are too much of people whom he doesn't recognize, so Shaan is not ready to take a chance, so he's holding onto him, while Aayush struggles..Shaan ends his call.

Aayush: papa mujhe jaana hain..

Shaan: No aayush! Bahut beed hain, tumhari mom aane tak tum mere paas hi rahoge teek hain?!

At that time Akshay and Khushboo comes, Aayush wants something to eat, Akshay listens to it..

Khushboo: Shaan, where's Khanak?

Aayush: mom so rahi hain! (laughs)

Akshay: kya?? (looks at Shaan)

Shaan: she'll come..its just that Aayush can't stop teasing his mom..

Aayush giggles..

Khushboo: chalo Aayush hum andar chlkar kuch khaate hain..

Aayush: chocolates bhi?

Khushboo: haan haan woh bhi!

Aayush keaves with Khushboo, Akshay leaves too, and there comes Khanak in her saree, her hair is still wet, she's talking into phone, seeing her Shaan's face curve into smile, she smiles at the people and at the same time continues to talk into the phone..She passes Shaan unmindfullyl, Shaan tugs her hand, she looks back, sees him, and halts in her steps..

Khanak: Nisha! Chill! Wait toh karke dekho..(listens, shaan looks at her questioningly, Khanak whispers don't ask, shakes her head) ok! Sham ko dekhilete hain na..Nisha, you have to just revel in the feeling! Raj is giving it a chance right, I want you to even think like him ok! Abb phone band karo, aur aaj sham ke liye ready ho jao! (winks and giggles)

Khanak cuts the call..

Shaan: Abb kya hua?? (her hand is still held by him)

Khanak: don't ask! Pata nahi Raj ne kya kehdiya hain, surprise and all? Nisha wants to know more about it, and I seriously don't know a thing about it..(shakes her head)

Shaan: oh! Its all about the surprise..(he smiles)

Khanak: (looks at Shaan) mujhe aisa kyun lag raha hain, that you know something about it..

Shaan: yep! I know!

Khanak: (breaks into smile) sachchi main? What's the surprise? (her eyes glitter)

Shaan: sorry madam! Main aapko bhi nahi bata saktha!

Khanak: kyun? (her eyes widened)

Shaan: actually surprise tumhare liye bhi hain..(looking at her)

Khanak : mere liye??

Shaan nods, but he exactly knows if he stays there for longer he'll be fired with questions, he just leaves her wondering, when she comes back to world she notices that he isn't there..

She's left with so many questions in her grey matter.

Garden is litted with lights, for now its filled with darkness, at that moment, when lights are dimmed, a guy, dressed in off white shervani, dashing in his experience, kneels down and stretches his hand forward, girl is stunned by his action, she's dresses in a white ghaghra with silver work all over on it, looking like an angel, slowly places her hand in his..Both of them get up, and there is loud cheering from the audience, lights are completely on now..And there's Raj and Nisha standing in front of everyone at the middle of the lawn, where function is taking place..

And someone strings the guitar, attention is diverted to the player, all are surprised, there's our Shaan stringing his own guitar, he's wearing a crisp white shirt with his blazer..He's gazing into eyes of his own wife! She's looking stunning in her blue pink combination ghaghra, her hairs left out, she's also surprised seeing Shaan..

Shaan not leaving anymore chance, starts the song, while Raj and Nisha swings to the tune he plays, its like Raj means the words of the song to her, but it is sung by Shaan, while Shaan and Khanak are lost in their own world..

Part 92

Morning sun had raised, which tells that, daily routine has started, which indeed had started..Well everything was normal, Khandelwals had returned from Delhi, Raj would be returning in the following week to look on to his career, Nisha will be back with her work at Dehradun, but for now it was time to just spend some lonesome time with partner..

Lets get back to our leads, something was troubling Khanak from last evening, Shaan was sure about this but he also knew that she would spit everything out, but for now lets concentrate on the winy kid, who was claiming his parents attention very much..Khanak is worried, tensed, if at all she can't cantrol Aayush, then what will she do when hers and Shaan's kid entered the world..Top to that, Shan supported Aayush frequently, this worried her, but Shaan was right at his position, if both Shan and Khanak dismissed the idea of Aayush's wishes, then Aayush may think in an other way..

And she didn't wanted that way, she wanted everything the way it was right now, she didn't want to fuss about everything..She had a job now, which was keeping away from her home, means getting late to home, not able to pick Aayush, not able to spend the precious evening times with Aayush..But, Aayush never complained about it, he won't she knew! As much he was naughty, at the same time he knew how she struggles to make up the time for him..Their small mundane fights resembled just like as though a little guy is quarelling about a thing with his OWN mom..

They had crossed a stage where everything was let go, it was just like they made a family, Aayush wasn't any orphan, he had his mom and papa at his side all the time..Since Khanak was not able to make up to the eve times, Khushboo was getting closer to Aayush..Thanks to Aayush, Khushboo had shown some interest in art..When Khanak returns home, all she could find that was, her in laws were enjoying the company of this little guy! Who was the reason for her survival, her all day tiredness would flee when she used to see her son and husband engrossed in Ayush's homework, Aayush not speaking word but would just listen to his papa..She was jealous with Shaan..

Yes! She is! How can she be not? He proves in every next moment that he is a good parent than her, she did complain, but has a response she had got a squishy hug from Aayush telling that she ws the best mom in the whole world! And Shaan would smile!

Her trip into her mind also answered the question which she had asked herself just a few minutes ago..Yes they would make a baby! And Shaan would be the best daddy in the whole world! The thought made her smile broadly and a warm colour engulfing her facial features..

Shaan and Aayush who had entered the room, were stunned to see her like that, they wondered what was going in her mind? Both shrugged and smiled, they just went near her, sat on the bed, just like her, both on the either sides of her..Khanak is brought out of her world, she stared at them, but both of them were just sitting like her, before she could ask what was wrong??

Shaan: kohi bhut soch raha hain..(twitches his lips, but looking ahead)

Aayush: correct! No, its soch rahi hain papa..(corrects his papa)

Khanak opens her mouth..

Shaan: Thanks ha! (he has turned to her, but looks at Aayush, in the meanwhile pushing her upper body back, she's shocked)

Aayush: abb kya karein papa?? Unhe sochne se kaise bachchaye?? (he has his elbows on her thighs his face secured in his hands)

Now Shaan places his elbow just like Ayush..

Khanak: arrey..(stopped by)

Shaan: kuch karna padega! Lekin kya??

Aayush: (thinks for a while) ek kaam karthe hain, unhe baahar ghumane ke liye leke chalthe hain..(eyes twinkles)

Khanak is about to say no..

Shaan: correct! Baahar kaha?? Beach ke liye??

Aayush: hmm..ek kaam karthe hain, pehle bowling chalthe hain, then lunch, then beach, then..

Khanak: (finally shrieks) Stop it! (she oush both of their elbows from her thighs, giving a stern look at them)

Khanak: hum kahi nahi ja rahe hain! (stands up)

Shaan and Aayush: (sad face) kyun??

Khanak: main Khushboo bhabhi ke saath ja rahi hun! (her back towards them)

Aayush: (gets up too) Toh main Khushboo aunty se pooch kar aata hun..(runs before his mom could stop him)

Shaan: waise kaha jaane ki plan ban rahi hain??(stands in front of her)

Khanak: nothing! She wanted visit the doctor..(casual but for some reason she's shy)

Shaan: doctor?? Arrey ghar par do do doctor hain..toh phir kiss se milna hain? (moves towards her, as she moved away from him, now he's standing in front of her)

Khanak: (hesitates a little but) but dono pediatricians hain!

Shaan: toh?

Khanak: she wants to meet a gynecologist! (again moves away from him)

Shaan: Kyun? (follows her, her back is towards him)

Khanak: hmm..because..

Shaan: im waiting..

Khanak: she missed her cycle this month..(blurts out)

It takes a few minutes for the thing to settle for him, when he realizes, at that moment, he's very happy to hear that..

Shaan: (sounding happy, confronts her) are you serious?? Why did bhayya didn't say a word about it??

Khanak: bhabhi wants to confirm it from the doctor, before she break the news..

Shaan: (holds her arms) oh wow! Then we are going to become chacha chachi! (ecstatic)

Khanak smiles slowly..he choses the moment for teasing..

Shaan: Khanak tum toh aise sharma rahi ho jaise ki khush khabri bhabhi ka nahi tumhara hain! (chuckles)

Her eyes flee to his, she lets him enjoy..

Shaan: waise kahi tum bhi..??

Khanak: no! I mean abhi tak toh nahi..(lowers her eyes)

Shaan: kohi baat nahi! Jaldi woh news bhi aajayegi..!(smiles and pulls her into a hug, she leans onto his chest, her arms wounds around him and his round hers)

Shaan: im happy for bhayya! (she just smiles and hugs him tightly)

Shaan: happy se yaad aaya, im happy for Dhruv too..(her expression changes, releases herself from the hug, shaan looks at her questioningly)

Khanak: hmm..well I had wanted to say something about Dhruv..

Shaan: kya??

Khanak: I overheard their conversation..(slowly, but still looking into his eyes)

Shaan: Khanak mujhe kuch samaj main nahi aa raha hain..

Khanak: I heard Dhruv and Nitya talking..

Shaan: what??

Flashback: When Dhruv's parents had come to Raj's engagement, Khanak had met them in the morning of the day..She was able to greet only DD, DD was very happy to see Khanak asusual, DD had showed more attention towards her, Dhruv's mom was ignoring her, Khanak also chose the same thing, she didn't want Shaan to know this, so it was good in this way..Nitya had walked away from the scene, Dhruv had followed her..

Khanak was called by her family, Aayush had ran away from Dadi's hold, Khanak assured that she would look for him..Looking for Aayush she walked into the lawn, lawn was covered with huge and tall bushes..

She had stopped midway, when she had looked Dhruv and Nitya talking, she was about to pass away from there, when she heard..

Nitya: what do you expect me to do?? (Khanak's feet glued to the floor)

Dhruv: nitya please! Dad loves Khanak! I can't stop him from that..waise its him giving the attention, aur tumhe jo attention chayiye who main tumhe de raha hun na? toh what's the problem??

Nitya: tumhara attention?? Come on Dhruv, tumhara friend jiske engagement ke liye hum yaha hain, who, Raj has not spoken to me a word! I feel left out in the group! Jaise I don't stand anywhere..Aur Khanak, usse sab ke family attention deti hain! (jealousy)

Dhruv: kyunki, they know Khanak from our childhood! Agar tum bhi socialize karna shuru karogi na, tab shayad sab tumse baat karthe..ur in your own world, I don't understand kit um itna reserved kyun ho??

Nitya: great! Abb tumhe bhi mujhse problem hone lagi hain, jaise tumhare dad!

Dhruv: Nitya! Dad doesn't have any problem with you! You have to just speak with him, if your expecting some affection from him! And please Khanak ko iss sab se bahar hi rakko toh hi achcha hain! She's happy now, I don't want to be a trouble in her life..(his voice becomes lower)

Nitya: see! You still care about her, only her!

Khanak eyes started to fill..

Dhruv: Nitya, she's my friend! And tum meri honewali biwi ho, please try to understand..

Nitya: exactly! Im about to marry you, and your still attracted to your lover..

Dhruv: just shut the hell! Khanak is married! And im marrying you!

Khanak was tired, and she didn't want to be a witness for anything more she had just left the place..

Back to present..

Khanak is standing by the window, while Shaan is speechless, he just seats himself on the bed, not in a good mood though..

Aayush comes back, even his face has paled..

Khushboo had told him that he won't be able to accompany with them he was feeling dejected, Shaan smiles and pulls him into a hug, Khushboo enters and calls Khanak..

Khanak looks sadly at Shaan, Shaan too stares back..She's gone..

Shaan for now, shifts his attention towards Aayush..
