Posting Part 8. am feeling low after penning down this part because certain incidents are straight out of life.Please comment and let me know what you think and next part onwards we can look forward to some moments which will make us realise that life isn't all about gloom!!!

Part 8

Needed to talk to you urgently Shaan….hope it's okay with you beta(son)…..

It took Shaan no time to realize the undertow in his father's voice..

No Dad go ahead,is everything alright?

Everything's fine!!! I wanted to talk to you about Gunjan……

The eerie silence that followed tore through the moment in time……

Shaan,did I force you into this alliance? Did you agree to this against your wishes?

Dad!!!! why do these questions bother you today? Whatever has been done can't be undone…….

Why do I sense such hopelessness in your voice,Shaan?

Dad!!! don't read too much into this….it's just that my feelings are a bit cluttered at the moment…. need to tidy them up!!!

Your mom feels that we should rethink our decision!!! what is your take? I need to know beta!!!

Well Dad….now that you ask…..you know that I wasn't ready for this but when I saw Gunjan,I felt that you were right!!!!

However none of us are prepared for what's happening now…. so let's hope for the best and yes we all are going to take time to acclaimatise with the situation……

Each innard in Shaan's being knew how unconvincing he was sounding……how vacuous he felt…..

Let's take a day at a time Dad and please try and understand mom!!!! Good night!!!!

The next two months saw further decay in Gunjan's health. Hospital visits became a regular ritual and the test reports only built up to the woes……

Dr.Ghoshal discussed with her parents and made them see that in the current scenario dialysis was the only recourse…….

Once a week was what was prescribed right now by Dr. Ghoshal which needs to be either increased or decreased based on the KIdney Function Test results……

Every week saw her accompanied by Khanak, Supriya, Mr. Kejriwal, Swagata and Pinaki taking turns, to the day care facility in the hospital where she underwent the procedure and was discharged by afternoon after she had her lunch……

Even this affliction miserably failed in front of the poise, this shrivelled countenance possessed…..the dark eyes were void but never showed it……

It was only the first time when the nurse was about to insert the cannula and start the dialysis machine that fear blinded her eyes and all she could see was a blank space………..

That was the day after she came back form the hospital that she hugged Dadi Maa and wept like a baby knowing very well that life was slipping away!!!!!!

The deep air pocket almost jolted her out of her seat and she suddenly realized where she was!!!!

The entire flight was enveloped in a deep slumber barring two souls whose destination was chosen but the traversing path to reach the same was in the hiding…….

Regency Park is located in the quiet and prestigious Nathan Road,off Grange Road and River Valley Road. This development has spacious 3 or 4 bedroom units with big balconies some with unblocked city views. Shaan occupied one of the 3 bedroom units on the fourth floor.

The distance from Changi to Regency park suddenly seemed never ending to Shaan…….

The lean yet coiled and curled up frame beside him looked like a baby lost in the wilderness…..

The lush green canopy encompassing the condominium added to the novelty of the place and this is where she was to begin an unknown painful journey called Life……….

The main door of the unit opened into an expansive drawing room….the other two rooms consisted of a master bedroom and a smaller one which served as the guest room.

The drawing room opened into a huge balcony which was the best place in the entire house. The drawing room seated an eight seater sofa in beige colored leather with lots of multi colored cushions,the table in the center was teak in brown polish. The pristine white wall facing the sofa wore a 52 inched LED and the one behind adorned a painting which looked abstract……

All the walls were white and looked like canvas waiting to get filled with colours!!!

If YES...then Sangita di, I am not at all surprised...actually i was waiting for this to happen. You remember...when i started reading ur story..i asked u to permit me to be a Silent reader for sometime..as i had my doubts/questions which i was waiting to ask u at the right time. Even i posted a comment abt my questions after the last update...THIS WAS THE QUESTION!!
and i guess..i got the answer 😊

PS: Yes...i know abt Dialysis... one of my skool friend suffered the same problem...they used to change her blood in every 15 days :((

Dialysisis really torturous and what is more killing is to face the truth that life is gonna be snuffed out of you soon😔 its something nobody would dream of ...in Gunjan;s case what is more tragic is that she is very very young just when life was about to start it ended abruptly😔

Khanak and Shaan i guess they got married...but over her friends dead body no that is the worst experience any friend can ever have😔

I feel so disturbed after reading this update...life is so unfair😔
